Our wedding photographer was James Berglie of Be Photography. He has great work, and is very creative in setting up his shots. He was very quick to get the images to us, and he is very affordable.

The men were all very happy with their tuxes. They were able to submit all their information via an online form. This was important for us since our groomsmen lived all over the country.

Theresa was great! She did a trial for one of my bridesmaids and my mother, and then did makeup on the day-of for 3 of my bridesmaids and my mother. She came to the hotel. Our makeup stayed on and looked wonderful all day. She used MAC and other high quality makeup.

My husband was able to get a huge discount on my ring after repeatedly threatening to walk away. It appraised for about 2x what he paid. They have been wonderful with cleaning it whenever I ask (at any location) and also checking it every 6 months to make sure it is not loose, etc. They will also re-dip the white gold for free for the life of the ring.

We love cruising. It is a great way to visit many places, eat wonderful food, and have good entertainment. For the honeymoon, our cruise went to the southern Caribbean. However, we have always enjoyed our Carnival cruises.

JR came to our hotel and did the hair for 2 of my bridesmaids as well as my mother. She was able to incorporate a fake hair piece I had, and made it look all natural. All of us were happy with our hair. I also had a trial at the salon she works at.

The hotel was nice and the large lobby was great for my guests to spend time together. I liked the Internet access in the lobby which allowed us to “check-in” for our honeymoon cruise in advance. The free breakfast is also wonderful. However, some of my guests’ rooms did not have the bags with snacks, etc. that I had brought over to the hotel for them. In addition, my parents and I were supposed to receive a gift, according to the paperwork when I signed up for the room block. We never got this and when asked about it, the employee said that they didn’t do that anymore. Also, when we booked, we considered paying extra for a shuttle to our rehearsal dinner. It turns out they offer a free shuttle to the restaurant and never told us.

This company uses beautiful, realistic, wooden roses. I was one of their first weddings and they did a wonderful job. They are a lot more affordable than real flowers and you can keep them forever without having to preserve them. The roses come in tons of colors too. I showed them pictures of what I wanted and they produced them. They brought everything to my house when they were completed and allowed me to keep samples in order to show people as I decided what I wanted. They also provided the flowers for me to DIY my own centerpieces.

Derrek Heckler was amazing! We met with him prior to the event to discuss music and make sure he had all the songs we wanted. On the day of the wedding, he made sure everything ran on time and that my husband and I always had whatever we needed, even if it was just a drink from the bar. He played requests from the guests and songs I’d requested. He also adhered to our “do not play” list.

The planning process at Overhills is very organized. I was able to help decorate the ballroom myself, which I liked, but the facility’s day-of planner made sure everything went smoothly and all the guests were taken care of. All of our food was delicious. The display and taste was wonderful. We had plenty of food for all our guests. The tasting meeting also enabled us to try whatever foods we were considering. They were also very accommodating when dealing with special dietary issues.
