Highly, highly, highly recommended! Everything MrsWrightn07 said in her review on this page is absolutely true - Matika's a lovely person, easy to work with over the phone and via email, mindful of budget constraints, and very dependable. But most important, Matika is an artist! She translated our fairly vague ideas into a fully-realized masterpiece. When I look at our detail photos, I'm blown away all over again by how gorgeous our arrangements were. Each one was different, and I absolutely love her little touches - the way she arranged a few blossoms on the table next to the centerpiece, like they had just fallen off naturally and drifted down to the table, or the small pile of peonies she left on a windowsill, like a parting gift. Each piece was a living sculpture. The flowers she provided for my hair were also lovely. I am so grateful to have had Matika!

Sherrie is a fabulous artist! Before the wedding, she was easy to communicate with via email, and the day of, she was on-time and ready at our remote location (despite the fact that I was running late and had given her the wrong address - oops!). But most importantly, Sherrie created exactly the look I wanted for my wedding, based only on a few photos and my very non-technical descriptions. The updo, a low chignon with sideswept bangs, was simply gorgeous - even more beautiful than I had imagined, especially once she placed the orchids my florist provided. And the makeup was perfect - I didn't even check it thoughout the night, except once, after my teariest moment - and it still looked flawless! I felt radiant, confident, and natural - exactly as a bride should - and it shows in our pictures.

We stayed at the Hotel Vitale the night before our wedding, and we loved it. The hotel itself is very chic and luxurious, but the best part is the location. When we arrived, they had champagne and chocolates waiting for us in our room, and we took them out to the roof deck on the same floor and sat out sipping our wine and watching the people go by on the Embarcadero. It was incredibly romantic and a beautiful way to start our wedding weekend. We also had a gorgeous view of the Bay Bridge from our very attractive and comfortable room.

This hotel does a great job with the details - in addition to the champagne, they left rose petals on our bed when they did the turn-down - and I loved the Fresh toiletries! In addition, because of the wedding, we had the bellhop going up and down several times to collect all of our stuff, and she couldn't have been sweeter or more helpful.

All in all, an excellent place to stay in San Francisco!

We absolutely loved our cake! The most important thing was that it was delicious - we had three different chocolate flavors, one for each tier, with marzipan instead of fondant. Second to the taste, our next priority was the design, which while simple, we wanted to be well-executed - and it was flawless. Lisa made everything so easy, from the tasting to the delivery and setup. Our guests are still raving about it (including my 3-year-old niece, who is still talking about my "special cake") - and my new husband has been joyously eating his way through the piece we brought home with us!

WOW!!!! I wasn't planning to do boudoir pics, but two months before the wedding I changed my mind, and I'm so glad I did - it was AMAZING!!!! It was an incredibly happy, fun, liberating, confidence-giving adrenalaine rush of an experience - and when I got the photos this weekend, I had that incredible feeling all over again. I am so thrilled to give the photos to my FI - it's going to be hard to wait until the day of our wedding! I can't recommend Danielle Biel enough - she is so calm and sweet and professional. I felt comfortable with her immediately, even though prior to the shoot, it was definitely outside my comfort zone. During the shoot she made me feel, in a word, beautiful - and it shows in the pictures. Danielle knows exactly what she's doing and has a flawless eye - the minor adjustments and suggestions she made throughout the shoot made a huge difference in the end result. If any of you ladies are on the fence about boudoir pics, I really encourage you to go for it - you won't regret it!

Bella Figura is amazing! I absolutely love letterpress and really wanted to get letterpress wedding announcements (we're having a small destination wedding, so we wanted to send out announcements after the wedding to all of our many friends and family members who weren't going to be there). However, we also wanted a design that was modern, bold, dynamic, unusual, and not feminine - which is not easy to come by in the letterpress world. Bella Figura's designs were perfect for us - we eventually picked Moderno, and we just received the announcements on Friday - and we've spent all weekend looking and re-looking at them - we're so thrilled! The printing is just gorgeous and the paper is heavenly. And they sent the whole thing wrapped up like a present, which was so charming - icing on the cake! Beth Ann and Andrea were absolute pleasures to work with - they were both completely organized, helpful, and patient with our changes - and the order came on exactly the day they said it would! I would recommend Bella Figura without reservation to anyone looking for beautiful letterpress stationary - you can't go wrong with them.

Our primary color (kiwi green) is not easy to match, but the Paper Mill Store had not one but two close matches in their incredible cardstock collection! If you need paper in a very specific shade, don't miss this place! Ordering and delivery went off without a hitch. Sure, I had to buy 250 sheets when I only needed maybe 50, but I consider the $30 money well-spent in order to have the right color materials (PIB). (I plan to give the extra sheets to a grade-school teacher when I'm done.) Also, if it matters, they have a very interesting "sustainable" credo.

Marina is awesome, the best tailor I've ever worked with. She doesn't do wedding dress alterations (although if you're just wearing a white evening gown like I am, she'll do it), but I really recommend her for bridesmaid dress alterations, suit and tux tailoring, MOB dress alterations, etc. She recently did the alterations on my two dresses - one was simply a hem, but the other needed to be taken in as well as shortened, and it was silk charmeuse and bias-cut, which isn't easy. However, I had full trust that Marina would do it right, and she did. The dresses looked so great at my final fitting, I didn't want to take them off! And she's doing my FI's suit as well. She's the greatest!

Wedding Paper Divas is wonderful! They alone seem to fill the wedding invitation niche we were looking for - clean, modern, fun styles that can be ordered online. I had looked into getting letterpressed invitations, but in addition to having a hard time finding styles that I really liked, I kept running into 50 or 75 piece minimum, which was impractical for our small wedding. WPD's minimum is 25, which was perfect for us, and their prices are SO low. We've now received our save-the-dates, invitations, and response cards, and with each the process was incredibly easy - and we're so pleased with the results (PIB). Really high-end stationary it's not, but the cardstock they use is quite heavy and the print-quality is very good (not pixelated at all, which was my concern). We've already sent out the save-the-dates and have gotten so many compliments! If you're looking for a way to cut your costs without sacrificing style, this is a great one.

I love my Nicole Miller dress - and just about every other dress in her bridal collection! Her designs are so simple and elegant (yet not just a little sexy!) - and simultaneously young yet timeless. If you, like I did, want to stay as far away as possible from beading, sequins, frou-frou lace, Cinderella ball gowns, etc. check out Nicole Miller!
