Jamie from Coquette Events was not only my wedding Co-Coordinator but also my Matron of Honor! No pressure, right? Jamie handled both roles efficiently and professionally. During the planning process, Jamie would call/send me e-mails to remind me what tasks needed to be done on my end. The evening before my wedding, Jamie prepped my suite by hanging up my dress/veil and assembled my Bridesmaids gifts (even her own)! On the day of the wedding, Jamie with timeline in hand, made sure the wedding party was on schedule. I didn't have to worry about anything. Jamie was by my side helping me with last minute charts and even transferred my vows onto a speech card. She worked closely with my other Coordinator and vendors. Let's say the Matron of Honor part came out when she got mad at me for not eating. As the day continued, Jamie was everywhere she needed to be with her "Emergency Kit" in tow! She took 4 trips to my suite during the reception to assist me! Having her there put me at ease and reminded me why I chose Jamie to fill both roles. She did an amazing job and did not let me down!
I highly recommend Jamie & Andrea of Coquette Events to be a part of your wedding "planning" team! Their eye for detail, stylish ways, and fun personalities is definitely a plus!
Nicole was actually the first vendor I contacted before I even knew the wedding date or venue. Her work is impeccable and truly breathtaking! I heard about Nicole through PW and previous clients. Nicole met me at a coffee shop near my work. She showed me her work and asked me what I envisioned for the wedding. She was prompt in her e-mail responses and very patient when I made changes in the contract. I think she revised 5+ contracts but never complained once. She will work within your budget and accommodate you.
When we went over seasonal flowers during December, none of them appealed to me. I really wanted peonies and she suggested I import them. I never thought it could be an option. She also suggested garden roses and ranunculus.
When Nicole and I first discussed the feel of the wedding, we were leaning towards beach accents. Because our venue was by the water, I thought it was only right to do shells, sands, etc. When I went to Nicole's studio, she showed me our trial tall centerpiece and pomander ball. They were lush, gorgeous, and the colors were beautiful. I saw the shells and accents but something didn't feel right. I didn't realize it until I got home. I wanted a winter feel and the beach accents needed to be eliminated. I was hesitant in telling Nicole but she totally understood. I told her we need to make it "sparkle" more! So we brainstormed faux diamonds, floating flowers, and more candles. We met the next day at our rentals appointment and she brought back a tall centerpiece with the changes. I fell in love immediately!
On the wedding day, Nicole surprised me in ways I can't even explain. The flowers, pomander balls, centerpieces were amazingly beautiful! My bouquet had faux diamonds too, swoon! This is exactly why she was the first vendor I contacted! Her talent and creativity is limitless, period.

Flowers make a difference to the "whole" feeling of your wedding. Nicole produced a dreamy winter wonderland where all our guests were in awe!
Maria is truly a talented artist! I heard about her through previous clients and our photographer Jen Skog! If you didn't know, Maria & Jen are the "Dynamic Duo!" Their Couture sessions are AMAZING! Any bride who works with them is very fortunate, as I was on my wedding day!
I didn't have my trial with Maria until a week before the wedding but there was not one ounce of panic in me. I knew Maria would create a look that best suited me. When I met her, she asked me questions about my skin, makeup, wedding colors, and requested to see pictures of my wedding dress. I didn't have any inspirational pictures for hair so I told her I wanted to wear my hair down. I was hesitant in hearing her response but she told me she was going to suggest that anyways, whew! Maria's trials last for 3 hours, she will invest however much time to "perfect" your wedding look! That is what you want in your vendor! She has a "mini" photo studio where she takes pictures of your hair & makeup. After my trial was done, I looked in the mirror and never felt so beautiful. When my parents saw me, they said I looked radiant but still myself. That was very important to me and it was because of Maria!
A few days later, Maria e-mailed me trial pictures and evaluated my best angles and made suggestions. She also sent them to Jen. How awesome is that?!?! Here is the link to my trial!

On my wedding day, Maria was more than my makeup/hair stylist, she was my "right hand" person. Her assistance services go above and beyond what you expect. She assisted not only myself, but my bridesmaids as well. She even had an assistant with her too. From corseting my dress, to fixing my hair during photos, Maria was there every step of the way. The working relationship that she has with our photographer Jen was so much fun to witness. I found myself at ease and laughing the whole day! Maria even helped out with Family pictures and told them to "drop" their purse! She continued to touch up my hair and makeup throughout the day and even stayed till 9:00PM helping Jen!
I can't thank Maria enough! I don't think I was stressed or worried about anything b/c working with Maria, it's like hanging out with one of your girlfriends! I look forward to working with her and Jen for our Day After Couture session!
This is an investment you want to make, trust me!
Henry Kim was a pleasure to work with! He is the most organized, professional vendor you'll ever meet in this industry! I found Henry through PW and previous clients. My husband and I were looking for not only a DJ but an MC as well. Meeting Henry for the first time, you could see how passionate he was when it came to music! He knew what our parents liked, what we liked, and even assisted us with our 1st Dance song!
Henry set up our meetings, sent us weekly e-mail reminders on pending items, and contacted our venue coordinator on his own to discuss their acoustics/speakers/etc.
We were planning on just using BIG FUN for our reception only. We knew we were in good hands with Henry so we booked them for our ceremony as well!
Henry was a wonderful MC & DJ! The ceremony and reception flowed well and Henry had our guests participating in the centerpiece game and bouquet/garter toss! We loved the fog/lights as well!
If you are looking for an energetic MC & DJ, Henry from BIG FUN is your best bet!

Have you ever wanted to close your eyes, poof, you open them to see how "beautiful" you really are? I found Giao through PW and previous clients. She worked her magic on me during a hair/makeup trial before an E-session with her partner in crime, Thai Mai of Thai Mai Photography. I am particular about my makeup even though I don't wear it everyday. I usually wear neutral/natural shades and chap stick. B/c this is for the Wedding, I wanted something dramatic but only to enhance my real features.
I told Giao what I envisioned but was open to anything, what did I have to lose? She started with eye makeup, her preference, and then ended with foundation/individual false lashes. When I looked in the mirror, I didn't recognize myself but it was a good thing. I felt gorgeous inside and out, my eyes looked larger than I could ever imagine them!
For my updo, I had no inspirational pictures but Giao suggested a few styles that would suit me. We tried one but I don't think she was too happy with it. Thai took pictures of the final results and a few days later, Giao reviewed them and made some great suggestions. I admire Giao b/c she critiques her own work and makes modifications to better the bride's features and outcome.
I can't wait to work with her on a custom designed Birdcage Veil/Flower Fascinator as well! Her work is brilliant, check out QG Designs! Flower creations are breathtaking!

I have a feeling she'll work her magic on my Bridal Party and Mother/FMIL as well!
Here are some pictures from my trial, enjoy!

Update: 1/20/2010
Giao created the most beautiful Flower Fascinator for my special day! After exchanging e-mails, she knew exactly what I wanted, a "statement" piece! She even surprised me with a headband! She worked on all 5 bridesmaids! Giao definitely worked her "magic" and each bridesmaid raved about their updo. Giao used their inspirational pictures but I liked her designs even more!
Both my Mother & MIL were not looking forward to getting their makeup done. I told them they were in good hands with Giao. When they were done, I have never seen them so beautiful, I was speechless! My Mother is still talking about her makeup till this day! Giao is a wonderful person to work with!
Book a trial with Giao now, you'll be amazed by her techniques and patience!
I heard about Thai from previous clients. Thai has a genuine passion in what he does and captures "moments" from couples in photos that you didn't think was possible. A simple kiss on the nose can make a Bride-to-be tear, a whisper in someone's ear can make them smile so big, and the way couples look at one another, you can see their love instantly in Thai's pictures! After seeing his work and hearing so much about him, we decided to schedule an E-session with Thai immediately!
My fiance Neil & I have never taken "professional" pictures together. Our attitudes after meeting Thai & Giao, can we take more? Thai calls our E-session the "Marathon" session, really! His partner in crime Giao, did my makeup/hair and worked her magic, I was speechless.
We headed out to explore San Francisco and this duo was a blast to work with! Thai and Giao made Neil and I feel comfortable in front of the camera, made us laugh, and at times teased Neil b/c he showed more affection when the camera was off!
PS: Thank You to Giao (Like Yao Ming) b/c she was up since 5:00 AM and worked with us until 11:00 PM that day! =p You rock!
I look forward to working with both Thai & Giao on our special day!
Update: 1/20/2010
I really wanted Thai to be a part of our "Dream Team!" My Photographer had a clause where I could not hire any additional photographers. Since I was looking for a non-traditional PBooth, Thai was the perfect person! He just launched a new PBooth where guests can snap their own pictures and see them instantly on a monitor. I loved it because you could fit up to 18 people in one "shot." I look forward to making a coffee table photo book of all the PBooth pictures!
Thai exudes an energetic quality that any client wold want in their vendor! He had so many creative poses in mind for our guests and most of them executed them quite well! The props were a hit and Thai made sure all of our guests had them on. My Grandmother even put some props on!
Please book Thai now for a session because he is creative, outgoing, and his work is just, AMAZING! If you do book him, look into his PBooth too, you won't regret it!
