I found Joyce of perfect event solutions on craigslist. I was looking for chairs for my ceremony. She responded to my ad. She told me she was a wedding planner, who had another bride the day before, who happened to have the same colors as we did. She said we could split the cost of chairs since she had them for the weekend. The chairs, and set up as contracted were just fine. She gets such a low rating from me because of her behavior. She called me at least twice a day. Mind you I did not hire her as a wedding planner, as I myself planned every aspect of my wedding. So why she felt the need to constantly bother me I dont know. I had emailed her the date time, and setup details, that should have been sufficent. She called me one day at work, and because I didnt answer or return her call imediatly, she called my MOTHER! She told my mom 'oh I havent been able to reach Misti'! It was a work day and about 30 minutes had passed, plus there was no need for her to call. The reason? She thought I *needed* a muscian. She told my mom we couldnt afford it, guilting my mom into paying for it. I called her back and said to never call my mom again except for if she needed help the day of. She called her back twice more, each time implying I needed something. On the wedding day, she called me while I was stressed trying to get married. To ask how I wanted my chairs, which I had already told her by email, AND my mom was on site to instruct her. At the ned of the whole thing, she had the nerve to ask for wedding photos to display on her website, as if she had anything to do with it. If you want a pushy rude person, hire her.

We paid about $180 to insure our $11,000 or so wedding. It was very worth it. It was super easy to register online. Less than a month after taking our deposit our shady ex-venue went out of business, keeping our deposit. I let wedsafe know immediatly. I didn't file right away because there was a chance my old venue would pay me back, I just wanted them to be aware of the potential problem. They opened a file for me. Fast forward 6 months and I have gotten some but not all my money back and was tired of waiting. So I filed the claim. Witihin 2 weeks I had a refund check in my hand. I ended up returning the check because my old venue finally paid me back. But Wedsafe is highly recommended to give you peace of mind for your big day.

This is the new business name of a business that is awful. Just a heads up for people only searching this new name. Please see my review at http://www.projectwedding.com/vendor/show/cafe-de-la-paz
I cannot say enough how horrible our experience was with Cafe de la Paz. (Since gone bankrupt, now running as Viva la Paz) They get one star only because I am not able to give it a negative rating. We contracted with them in late November of last year. 3 weeks later, in mid-December, their website said they were going out of business. How do you not know 3 weeks beforehand you will be going out of business?? Anyway, we didnt know this until the beginning of January because the owner, Russell Bass, didn't have the decency to let us know!! I called January 2nd, to pay more money on our deposit. Only then was I told they were closing, the very next day!! We went down to get our deposit back, since our contract says 100% refund if for any reason they cannot fulfill it. At first he tried to blow us off, and only after my mom got loud in front of his customers did he even talk to us. He gave us a check that bounced! He paid us bit by bit, over a 5 1/2 month period, only paying us off a week before our wedding. It made it very difficult for us to re-book somewhere else. He is now doing catering work under a new name. I would never ever recommend this business.

We stayed here for 4 nights for our mini-moon. We very much enjoyed every part of our honeymoon except for this hotel. Lets see - they couldn't find a gift that a friend left for us, put us in the wrong room at first (an ugly view of the building next door, not the courtyard/ocean view we reserved) they called us at 7:30 *AM* on our first morning there to ask about something, and then again at 8:50, didnt clean our room one day, didn't have amenities listed in their book in the room, many little things. They get 2 stars because they did upgrade our room and send champagne to the room. But overall I would never recommend this place or stay there again. They claim to be a 5 star place, but are no better than a Ramada Inn. They claim to be so cheap but really it's because they nickel and dime you for every little thing. Internet was $10 a day, but free up the street at the Motel 6.
We found them on etsy, and my husband loved their rings. He choose the blue azurite inlay. It is beautiful. There was a slight problem with it needing buffing and extra cleaning and she had us send it back at her expense. It was back to us in perfect condition within a week. Highly recommended.

We just had our wedding here and it was lovely. A great price for a beautiful location. When I first scouted this location, I could smell the roses from a block away. The groundsman made sure it looked lovely. All in all a wonderful spot. There was a $200 refundable security deposit. You can't beat $300 for a gorgeous ceremony spot in the Bay Area.

My pricing is just a guess since my sister arranged it. The food was ok. Quite pricey for what it was. Oh but the banana desert thing was fab! There were only 6 performers, 3 before dinner, and 3 before dessert. But they were all lovely ladies. It seems to be a popular bachelorette spot, since there were at least 4 other groups when we went. We went downstairs and danced down there, and I got a lap dance from one of the performers which was quite entertaining. A very good time.

I am guessing this was the price range, since my mom paid for it. We love Otaez. We go there at least once a week, so it was a natural spot for our rehearsal dinner. There were 18 of us and they accommodated us with no problem. They had margaritas waiting when we got there, as well as chips, salsa, and guacamole. They only had one waiter for all of us so the food service was a little slow, but they are so friendly and food so yummy we didn't care.
We ordered custom stamps from them. *We* ordered the wrong stamp amount, and despite it being our fault, they reprinted and immediately shipped replacement stamps. Excellent customer service.
