Austen and I adore this place because it was the location of our first meeting at the Harvard Model UN conference. The beautiful lobby welcomes you from the first step in and I love how classic old hotel it is. The suite Austen reserved was wonderful and the bellhop even took these adorable pics of Austen carrying me over the threshold. The breakfast in bed and strawberried dipped in chocolate with champagne were delicious and such a great treat. We were able to get an incredible employee rate because of Austen's affiliation with them when he planned the Harvard conferences. They even paid for our valet parking and took money off our bill when the maid mistakably threw out Austen's toothbrush. They were also awesome about getting us a taxi at 4:45am for our early flight to Hawaii.

They did a great job of accommodating our out of town guests (mostly Austen's family and friends). The rooms were always impeccable and the breakfast they served was delicious. The best man especially loved the free internet and cookies after 4pm. The location was also perfect because it was in the center of everything and very close to my house/the church. We didn't do a block since we were so apprehensive about how many people would come from out of town but they assured us they could accommodate us and it worked out great.

After dealing with Classic Tuxedo throughout the time leading up to the wedding Austen expressed his opinion to be one "bittersweet" in nature. We were both impressed that in the months leading up to the wedding members of the Providence staff kept calling to make sure that we were getting groomsmen sized. It seemed as if not a week went by without someone keeping it in the forefront of memory that we needed to get measurements in as soon as possible, something that was very helpful. However, once measurements were recorded Austen found that it was easier to deal with the central office personnel than those working at the local office in Providence. Talking to the Boston office ensured that things were recorded properly in the computer and that changes to our order were properly input. The nice thing was that once a change was made or a measurement submitted it went directly into their system and no problems existed in going from the central office to the one in Providence. Unfortunately, the positive experiences hit a bump there. When the groomsmen went in to try on tuxes they were forced to deal with 5 of the 6 guys being forced to get replacements due to improper orders by the Providence office or damaged wardrobe. Austen's vest had dried blood on it! Only one tux ensemble was correctly assembled and ready without hassle. I have to note, though, that even though the mistakes were a hassle and worrying about this stuff the day before the wedding made life stressful Classic Tuxedo did an amazing job of making sure that things turned out well. The poorly-fitted tuxes were replaced within 12 hours and were completely ready the morning of the rehearsal dinner. Austen (who had an in-between jacket size) was sent a special sized jacket so that the other wouldn?t look too big or small on him at the wedding. That about sums it up. Classic Tuxedo was great at customer service but getting the proper fit and items was a bit of a hardship. Their prices, though, are impossible to beat and once we go the tuxes they fit perfectly and looked great. If you are willing/able to keep an incredibly close eye on the order and go in a few days early to make sure everything fits then Classic Tuxedo is the place to go.

Let me start off by first saying the Tree Top Room is amazing and our wedding sales coordinator Lori Andrews was very accommodating and wonderful to work with leading up to the day of. She was always willing to answer my silly detail questions and ask for extras like bringing in my own sashes since they did not provide the color I needed to match the table runners I made. The two rooms were gorgeous all set up and very picturesque next to the lake. The food was delicious and my chicken was particularly very very tasty. The shrimp, champagne toast and mini coconut chicken appetizer were also delicious. My complaint is really with the service to Austen and I the day of the wedding (no guest complained-in fact all I heard was raves) we were late to the reception because of the delay in me being late to the church and also spending time with my grandfather who could not make the reception due to his nursing homes regulations. The personal attendant was very disgruntled when we first arrived and tried to hurry us along way too much. Our guests were fine and most arrived way after us anyways from the church. When we asked to go to the beach to take pictures she rolled her eyes and said okay but we have to do it now! I do feel she was pressured as she told Austen this was her first couple weeks on the job but I really felt she could have been more accommodating to us both. My mom said when she asked her for something she was always very nice and polite though. My other complaint is that it was specifically stated in our contract that we were supposed to have a larger cake table for the runner I made and yet we still got the small square table. Everything was sorta squished on the table because of this. Despite these few minor things-the reception was a blast and we had such a good time dancing at the end and with all the festivities. The food was delicious through every course and the chocolate fountain was a very BIG hit. I would highly recommend having one.

WOW-Rosa is incredible!! She worked magic on my dress and it?s 18 pt bustle. It fit me perfect in every way. She is such a sweetheart and works to make everything magical. She steamed all of my veils for me, my dyed crinoline and even fixed my sister?s bridesmaid shoes by putting sponges in for comfortable and putting a new elastic in the heel. She also tailored my rehearsal dinner dress and my sister?s bridesmaid dress which had to be taken in twice. Her prices are so so reasonable. We spent less than 200 on the two us for three dresses-all with cups, one taken out, two taken in, two hemmed. A bustle, taken in on the top for me etc. My bridesmaids told me their alterations for just a hem and taken in at the top cost them over 175 dollars. I told them to go to Rosa and they wish they did. They said the dresses looked perfect on my sis and I. We also went to 3 fittings before and she said we could have gone to more if we needed them. My sister is a designer and hopes to have Rosa make her wedding dress someday if she designs it.

I must say I Love Kristin just like so many other RI brides. She is a true joy to have with you on the day of. Her enthusiasm and excitement just blew me away. She made my mom look gorgeous and my bridesmaid (who never wears makeup) feel beautiful and confident. She gave us a bunch of extras to take with us including mints, blotting sheets, lipstick and powder. My pics show my transformation and how much fun I was having with her. She also did two consultations with me despite being so busy. We changed my lip to a lighter shade on the day of and I liked it much better. She also woke up early the morning of my second consult to get me ready for our love story with Michelle. Definitely book Kristin if she is available!

Kymm was great to work with and woke up at 4am to be at my house for 4:45 to start working on 7 girls, me, my mom and flower girl. Everyone looked gorgeous and the girls all loved their hair. I tried to set up a good time frame for everyone to be at my house and worked out really well. My hair came out so classic and very much like the buns of SJP and Audrey Hepburn in my bio. I LOVED it.. Kymm is also so sweet and works great with Kristin Greene (in fact they had just done a wedding together the night before). Kymm also emailed all my girls before to get a good idea of what they wanted done ?some were still undecided that day but she whipped up a style in no time.

The music and overall feel of the reception was really what Austen and I had envisioned. Aaron worked out all the details with us about 3 weeks before the reception and made sure to be open for communication in the days up to the big day. Everyone said the cocktail hr was wonderful and they really enjoyed the ambiance the live piano playing gave to the room. We were only able to spend a few moments walking into the room to get to the bridal suite but the music was beautiful. Then Aaron worked with all of the bridal party to coordinate a London bridge to be created when they got in for us to walk through. It was so much fun and we got some great videos from guests of our grand entrance. All of the names were pronounced correctly and Aaron was on his toes so to speak on whether he should introduce my grandfather-he found out that day that he would have to leave him out since he could not attend. Aaron then made an announcement about the table cameras and scavenger hunts and was pretty low key. The toasts and dinner went off wonderfully and so did the first dance and parents dances. He cued a song from Sister Act called We Are Family (that my cousin and aunts and my sister and my mom used to dance after her toast on request). It was a great surprise. Aaron even shortened the mother-son dance for Austen and his mom since they are the closest. My favorite part of the specialty dances was when my dad and I did an impromptu fast boogie dance after our slow ?In My Daughter?s Eyes? dance. I just exclaimed Aaron I need a fast song and he was right on it! Everyone joined in and we had some great laughs. The rest of the night the dance floor was packed ?especially during the couples slow songs and classic tunes. There was no Macarena, Chicken Dance etc. like we requested. All very classy and fun like Old Time Rock and Roll to get dancing. I am so glad we chose Aaron-he did an amazing job and I love the monogrammed gobo light he did for us for our first dance-it showed up awesome and guests commented on its uniqueness.

The cake was delicious at our tasting and they gave us some great samples to take home. We chose the Strawberry Grand Marnier and the marble with white chocolate mousse.. I was very impressed after this. But then Austen tried to drop off our beautiful silver stand that Suzy gave us and they were very rude to him and said they would not accept it. Finally they accepted it after Austen said he would call LP about it. The cake was beautiful the day of and exactly like the picture I showed them included matching the color. I can?t wait to eat the top for our anniversary!

Jay was great to work with and the flowers were so beautiful! My bouquet stayed wonderful and was so big and colorful and everyone commented on how awesome both the low candelabra pieces and tall centerpieces looked. Guests couldn?t wait to find out who got to take them home with them. Jay also did a lot of extras like prepare my aisle runner and secure it for the ceremony, tie all the chair cover sashes at the reception and drop off and arrange beautiful roses for the rehearsal dinner and arrange them in Via Roma?s vases. The girls all loved the ballerina style ties on their bouquets also. Their prices and service are great. The only thing that I wish could have gone better was the flowers on the cake server set-they were sorta wilting by the time we went for the cake tasting (I know it was due to the extreme 90 something degree weather though and there is nothing you can do about mother nature). I would highly recommend GG to any bride and enjoy the bouquets and samples he provides-they are gorgeous!
