We did our own invitations and they were awesome, and no one knew we printed them at home. We got them on sale about a year before we got married. They included the invite, envelope, stickers for closing the envelope, programs, response cards, name tents and any and all accessories that go with the invitation.

Although it is time consuming, the product is worth the money.

Pat from Salon 8, Flagstaff, AZ did my makeup. It was just beautiful, I didn't even look like I had makeup on but my face glowed from the light application. I don't wear makeup so I was insistent that it not feel all piled up on my face. It was very light, and he ensured their was a sunscreen in the foundation for being at 10,000 ft.

I wanted a very natural look and Pat gave that to me, my relatives barely recognized me with the dress, the hair, and the makeup!

I had a consultation with Pat that was free... and in June of 2008 he charged $55 for the makeup and met me at my hairstylist just before my hair was done.

Dave was originally my now husbands hair stylist (he has more hair than most woman on his head), and since I knew no one else in town I went to Dave to get my hair done. We had two consultation sessions (where I got my hair cut and highlighted, so the doo was free on top of that), and we went through quite a few hairstyles, than I decided to let Dave do what he does best, HAIR!! My hair on my wedding day was the most beautiful I have ever seen it. I wanted a very natural look with an elegant twist, not too hard to do with a girl who wears her hair in a ponytail all the time. It was great and he is a great stylist!

I got my cake from the Bashas Grocery store in Flagstaff, AZ. It was the best cake I have had at a wedding in a really long time. Everyone raved about it! and it only cost $379 (with tax) to feed almost 200 guests.

The bakary manager is awesome at designing the cakes and she personally delivers it, just in case their is a transportation mishap.

I wanted to wear the most comfortable shoes at my wedding and the only ones that I love on a regular day are my chaco sandals. If you get the webbing (which can be found at craft stores, I found mine at Joanne Fabrics) and send them to them they will make your shoes for you. They do not sell a shoe with white webbing but they are willing to make the shoe for you.

They are great!! Fast delivery and quality products!! Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too!

I Do, I Do, Wedding Gowns in Gaithersburg, MD was a great consignment shop for wedding dresses. You need to make an appointment because they are always busy. I thought I knew what I wanted for my dress and my sister and mom insisted on picking out the dresses that I tried on. The woman that helped us is no longer there but the entire staff is great. There are only four dressing rooms so the service is always top notch. They are friendly and are there for one thing to find a dress that you love. I never felt pressured from the sales associate to buy somthing I didn't like. They also have bridesmaid and mother of the bride dresses, as wel accesories for your dress.

I found my dress that was actually brand new, just dicountinued from the manufacturer for just over $500 and its beautiful, fit me like a glove too!!

FYI... my best friend found her wedding dress there as well, fit her like a glove, and was just over $1000.

I bought my manzanita branches from Bloom and Branches on the internet. The owner was quick in responses and made the process of ordering very simple. The manzanita branches were delivered on time and in great condition.

I did not use Splendid Things Floral of Flagstaff, AZ for one reason.

When I met with the florist and asked her if I could see some of the flowers that she suggested using in the bouquet, she stated that she could not take them out of the case because she would not be able to sell them afterwards. Although I understand this concept, if I am going to spend lots of money with you, I expect to be able to see the quality and what types of ideas you would put together for the bouquets. I am also a very visual person and was trying to work with the florists abilities and my wants for the wedding flowers.

Sutcliffe Floral is located in downtown Flagstaff, AZ. Sutcliffe Floral was the second florist I visited in town. Although their prices were a little higher than the previous florist I visited (Mtn. High Flowers, now Splendid Things) but the willingness of Dave to ensure he knew exactly what I was envisioning was worth the extra money. I made an appointment to meet with Dave and as soon as I entered the shop we got right to business. He asked what I was thinking about colors, particular flowers, etc, than he began to bring out flowers to show me what he could do. If there was a particular flower that he brought out that I didn't like he immediately took it out of the bouquet and wrote it on the contract sheet as a Non-suitable flower for substitution. I really wanted ferns and curly willow in my bouquet and Dave accommodated this, and even showed me what different types of ferns would look like. I was so happy with the visual consultation that I knew I would order from Sutcliffe Flowers. Since my fiance could not be with me during the consultation, Dave made me a boutonnière to take home for him to see. He didn't like what he made, but it gave us a jumping off point. In the end all the boys were very happy with their flowers, stating they were not girly, frilly flowers, and they were happy to wear them.

Ironically, tons of people started to drop out of the wedding party and of course not on the same day. Dave was very pleasant each time I dropped in to drop someone off the list. He immediately gave me a new total balance, and would write me up a new contract. I think we took off over $100 in flowers but the quality of service never went down.
The delivery was early, and the flowers looked beautiful, the bouquet was more than I imagined and the girls were very happy with the flowers. The hot mountain sun did no damage to the flowers, Dave even recommended flowers that would sustain the intense sun.

Cameron Clark Photography (Flagstaff, AZ) is by far the best quality pictures for the price!! When I began looking for photographers money was of course a factor, and although Cameron's prices are higher, her products supersede other photographers in the area. And the quality of photos you receive does not compare to the price. When I showed the slideshow (that she creates) to my girlfriends and older woman co-workers they all said the same thing, "those are the best wedding photos I have ever seen!" Some girls were even sad because they thought my photos were better than theres. When I first found Cameron we had a consultation meeting to see if our personalities would mesh for the type of photography she did and the atmosphere and professional I was looking to work with. Living in a smaller town, I knew that I wanted someone with experience, down-to-earth qualities, and a sense of adventure and fun. Cameron exuded all of these qualities. She showed me albums of the atmosphere I described, as well as what she has gotten from photographing weddings with a sense of adventure and willingness from the bride and groom.

Cameron was on time, willing to work with my family, and willing to tell others when they crossed boundaries in consideration to what we talked about before the wedding. She accommodated my request to stop half way to the ceremony sight to take pictures, and also was great at capturing "real" moments.

Cameron is a photojournalist and was able to tell the story of my wedding day. Of everything else that I spent my money on, I would have given more to Cameron had a known the type of product she was going to give me in the end. My advice to other brides: Find a photographer that evokes emotion in you when you look at their portfolio. This is the photographer that will be able to tell your story. In the end, everything else goes away and you are left with pictures! AND MINE ARE BEAUTIFUL!!
