Super fast delivery and service and the invitations looked AMAZING! Right when I saw them on the website, I knew they were the invitations I wanted! I ordered them and had them in hand no more than 2 weeks later. They were aqua colored invitations with ribbon tied around them. Only drawback - they send you ROLLS of ribbon and you are responsible for cutting the appropriate length for the invites and tying it all. This was the most time consuming part of the project, but well worth it! They looked beautiful and I got tons of compliments!

We have had to utilize the Men's Wearhouse both in Las Cruces and in Albuquerque in order to get all the tux rentals in. Both staffs are very friendly and willing to help, however, often times they have been SO BUSY we have felt rushed out of the place in both locations.

VERY friendly, very fast and very accurate with alterations! My mom got her mother of the bride dress altered here and the bustle for my bridal gown was done here. They had them both done in about 2 weeks time (and are getting my BMs dresses ready to go now - 2 weeks before the wedding) and the alterations were fantastic!
My mom's dress was taken in at the top and it looks perfect on her now!
My dress was a little too long and was going to need very expensive alterations to take it up. However, the ladies at the bridal shop suggested renting a hoop skirt to help poof the dress out and bring it up, which at a rental price of $45 ($20 of that is deposit you get back if it is returned in good condition) was MUCH more reasonable than the cost required to alter the dress, and the hoop skirt definitely makes the dress look wonderful!
The bustle was very well done and the kind ladies at the shop spent countless minutes working with my mother teaching her how to assemble the bustle (as my both of my bridesmaids are out of town). They will have it wonderfully pressed, steamed and ready to go for me on Fri. before the wedding!

This is one of the most reasonably priced wedding venues in town! It is a non-denominational chapel and is available to UNM students and staff, alumni and children of alumni. Unfortunately if you are not one of the above in relation to UNM it is not open for public use, but if you are, you're in luck!
The chapel seats 150 people and has Spanish architecture. The altar is not large, but there is enough space for bride, groom, officiant and approximately 3-4 bridesmaids and groomsmen (each). It is very well kept and the exterior areas around the chapel will be beautiful for photographs after the ceremony.
You may provide your own officiant and musicians. On the UNM Chapel website, there is a place to find officiants, however they are VERY expensive. There is an organ available for the musicians, however, if you so choose to use it you must hire one of the university organists OR if you have your own organist, a university organist must still be paid to be there and ensure the organ is being used properly. We are having a relative play her electronic keyboard to save on this expense.
The chapel is available to look at through the University of New Mexico Alumni Association Monday-Fridays from 8am-5pm. It is wonderful because they will just give you the key to the chapel and you are free to go in and look around for as long as you wish.

Catering is scheduled and organized through the same UNM event coordinator as the reception scheduling. Coordinator has been very friendly and helpful in answering our thousands of questions regarding types and quantity of foods, method of service etc. The only drawback is UNM catering does NOT do food sampling, so I will not know if the food is great until the day of the wedding.
Fairly reasonably priced - just know you won't be allowed to have a trial run tasting!

The event coordinator is very friendly and super willing to answer any questions face to face or via phone or email. The venue is very reasonably priced and the ballroom space is HUGE! Because it is on a university campus, the only drawback is no alcohol is allowed at the reception, however, that is the only negative I have found. They take care of all the table set up etc. and I have been told they will open the ballroom up slightly earlier than the scheduled time on the day of the wedding so family from my wedding can go in and put our decorations up.
Positive experience thus far!

I was initially VERY excited about their Bride & Bridesmaids package deal - $90 each for consultation, hair and make-up the day of the wedding. Well, I had to talk to three different receptionists on three different days to finally find someone to care enough to answer all my questions and schedule my appointments in. A few weeks later, when I'm calling to confirm appointments and schedule consultations, I find this particular receptionist no longer works there! Therefore, I am stuck dealing with unmotivated staff yet again.
I ask about scheduling a consultation and am given an E-MAIL ADDRESS to send my desired times to. I sent my email out and NEVER received a response verifying my consultation date and time would be ok. I called and called and was told the girl that does the email is the only one who could schedule my appointment - was never given a phone number for her. So I went in the process of finding a new salon (see review for Alchemy Hair Studio) and was planning on canceling my La Bella appointments a few days before the wedding. I was so upset with their customer service, I was going to wait until the last minute to cancel so no other brides would suffer the same scheduling fates. Maybe a little vindictive, but as far as I know, that has been really my only Bridezilla moments.
So back on topic - I get my appointments settled with Alchemy and on May 13th (cut and color on the 15th, consultation the 23rd and day of on the 30th) I get a call from LA BELLA regarding my consultation appointment which I had emailed the girl about scheduling on May 16th! The girl on the phone says "I am just confirming your consultation appointment for tomorrow, May 16th". I informed her that because I had received NO response to my email and had no concrete appointment set, I had found another hair salon to take my business to and she could clear my name off their list for the 16th and the 30th. No apologies, nothing - she just said "I'll take care of that for you" and hung up.
Just bad customer service all the way around and NO communication with the client. You are taking matters into your own hands if you go here - good luck, I definitely DO NOT recommend it!

Just got my pre-wedding hair cut and highlight here and I am VERY happy with it! The studio is very nice - comfortable seating for waiting for your appointment, and they offer you soda or water while you wait. My hairstylist was Mike and although he did not speak much (I really like to interact with my hairdresser - you're in their chair for awhile!) he did a FANTASTIC job! He is very meticulous and took about 2 and a half hours to do a highlight and basic cut but it turned out great. I was charged slightly more than expected from my estimate, but I let this go because of how great my hair turned out.
I have a consultation appointment for my wedding up do next Sat. with Carmel (who Mike made sure to introduce me to while I was there) and she has lots of experience and appears very excited to do both the consultation and the updo! I will also be getting my make-up done there as well, the only thing they request is that you bring in your own foundation so that they know it will match your face type and skin tone.
My bridesmaids will also be having both hair and make-up done here for the very reasonable price of $65. I was told my hair and make up will run approximately $90 which is about average for bridal updo and make up around here.
Very friendly A+ service!

There is only one shop and Albuquerque, and it seemed regardless of the time and day I went it was very hard to get service as they seemed understaffed. For the most part, the staff was friendly, but they were definitely squeezing appointments in and really did not have much time to focus too much on each bride.
I did not get my wedding dress there, however, we ordered the bridesmaids dresses and shoes and the flower girl dress there. My mom also got her mother of the bride dress at David's and is very happy with it - although the alterations were done elsewhere. All orders arrived at the projected time - problem being that the bridesmaid's dresses were considerably longer than the trial dresses in the store and the advertising photos online. These tea length dresses fell well down to the middle of each of my girl's calves. Again, these dresses also received alterations elsewhere as with my and my BMs school schedules, bringing them into David's approximately 3 months in advance was not possible. DB alterations are also fairly expensive compared to the shop we used.
The flower girl dress, from what I understand was easily picked up by the FGs mother and is almost the perfect fit for our 2 year old FG (the straps just need to be shortened slightly - which will be an alteration preformed by family).
Overall, DB is a fair experience, but don't go if you are looking for LOTS of personal attention!

Employees were very helpful in helping us select the correct size and type of cake for our wedding. Cake tasting was very easy to schedule and several sample of fillings, frosting and cake were provided. Free drinks were included at the tasting which was very helpful, and when there was one flavor of filling not available on the testing plate, the employee was very prompt and happy to go get a sample from the back for us. My only complaint was here - the cake samples were a little dry - as if the sample plate had been sitting out for awhile. However, I bought one of their fresh cupcakes, and their fresh cakes are AMAZING!
So far a great experience!
