Opryland Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and as far as decor wouldn't need a single thing. The only thing about holding a ceremony in the middle of this hotel is you have no privacy. Several of their locations are just out in the open and people who are there on vacation tend to wander by and watch. They are also very pricey and you don't get a whole lot for the amount of money you end up spending.

Monell's is an ideal place for a rehearsal dinner. Because all of the food is served family style, if you end up with one or two extra guests at the last minute, it isn't difficult to accommodate the extras. If you are having guests in from out of town, Monell's is a great place to give them a taste of real southern food. The only drawback is you don't have much of a selection when it comes to choosing the menu.

I attended this show with one of my brides to check out a variety of vendors for her wedding. This show was on a smaller scale but was so much classier than many of the larger shows I've attended. The vendor selection was a bit more upscale and not as overwhelming. The only complaint I had is that with all of vendors, the lighting could have been better. It was hard to see some of their displays because the lighting was so low.

Matchless Limousine has the best selection of not only limos, but an amazing selection of classic Rolls Royce and Jaguars as well. Couples seem to be interested in a more unique form of transportation these days and are moving away from the typical limousines and town cars. Their drivers have always been reliable and courteous and another thing that I love about their service is the red carpet they have. It adds a touch of Hollywood glamor to any wedding.

The University Club isn't a bad location for a reception or a rehearsal dinner, but personally I think it is a little bit of a dated location. If you bring in a lot of your own decor the place can be worked with, but it isn't a location that I would choose on my own. It is on a college campus and while parking on this campus is usually limited, the University Club does have it is own parking lot.

Jay's cakes are absolutely exquisite. I first met Jay at a bridal show and was amazed by his cake display. The thing with Jay's cakes is that they not only look perfect, but they are moist and actually taste fantastic. I've had to eat a lot of wedding cake in my time and most of them look good, but taste dry and bland. My favorite of Jay's is his sour cream almond pound cake. The orange creamsicle is a close second!

Lisa Proctor is an outstanding stylist. She can do both hair and makeup. The brides I've referred to her have had nothing but great things to say about her work and how easy she is to work with. Lisa is wonderful at taking into consideration what the bride wants, but also keeps in mind how the makeup should look in order to look good for the photographs. Lisa is warm, friendly and professional and I would recommend her to any bride.

Gregory is FANTASTIC. Not only is he creative and easy to work with, but very reasonably priced. Gregory's photos are not your typical boring wedding shots, but geared towards more high fashion with really dramatic lighting. Rather than just giving a disk with images on it, Gregory provides an online viewing gallery where you can order your images directly from the site. He also does some great engagement shots!

Dee is absolutely fantastic. Her and her staff know their designers and gowns inside out and backwards. One thing that is completely different about this shop is that they will be honest whether or not a gown looks good on a bride or not. All too many times people want to just make a sale. Not this shop. They truly make the effort to put their brides in a gown that will flatter their shape and style. Wonderful selection of gowns and you can't beat the service!

This is a great spot for a wedding. It is right in downtown historic Franklin and is absolutely charming and beautiful. Typically the brides I've worked with have had a buffet set up through several of the rooms and had tables set up under a tent on the patio. The location is ideal for a smaller wedding but wouldn't accommodate a large seated dinner. Lillie Belle's recently began working with Monell's which is a great southern cooking caterer. We haven't worked with them since they've merged, but I've heard good things. Parking is the one issue with this venue - nothing but street parking.
