My hair turned out exactly as I asked. In addition, my stylist, Keith, helped to calm the pre-wedding nerves with herbal tea and light conversation! They allowed my then ten-year-old daughter to choose her own style and I think that went further than anything to help her feel included before the wedding. It was touching to watch how careful they were of her feelings at a stressful time.

The St. Paul continued with its usual five-star service. We were met at the door by eager bellhops. Our car was parked in covered parking (there was a blizzard that night) and every amenity was available to us despite the lateness of our arrival. The staff had anticipated our needs and met them unobtrusively and with the utmost of courtesy.

Mr. Schuckert knew exactly what parts of the ceremony and reception to capture. The quality of the CD was excellent and he made several back-ups in case something happened to the original. He was very professional – covering all the important pieces without blocking anyone’s view or becoming obtrusive.


 
 When a church member heard that we needed chairs for our ceremony, he not only offered to lend the chairs from the church, but he and his son loaded them, delivered them, and set them up for our guests! This was a loving and truly sacrificial act.

Mr. Mohabat is my husband’s adopted brother. On the day of our rehearsal, he received word that his biological brother was dying. As there were no planes available until early morning, Mr. Mohabat, despite his grief, shot all of the pictures we needed between 9:00 pm and midnight. He boarded at plane to see his brother a few hours later. I have never seen such dedication to fulfilling a commitment.

This was Deacon Evans’ first wedding! It was baptism by fire because ours is a household of both highly liberal and highly conservative beliefs! Nevertheless, Deacon Evans arranged the ceremony so that everyone’s beliefs were honored and no persons’ beliefs were offended. He achieved an ideal mix between a somber and a light homily and even the children were attentive. He continues to keep in touch, wishing us a happy anniversary each year and praying for our continued strength and happiness.

Amazingly, all of the tuxedoes fit, even the one for which we had to provided someone’s measurements and hope for the best. (He was not able to be there for the fitting.) The shoes were a little worn-looking, though, and the sales person a little unprofessional. Altogether, though, it worked out well in the end.

Dana is an excellent jeweler with an outstanding reputation. When we had scheduling difficulties, he kept the store open late so that we could come in at our convenience. We chose a loose diamond and a setting. I am a hard-to-fit size, but the ring still fits perfectly. Dana has remained in contact with us regarding to checking and cleaning stones and offering advice. His is service that goes beyond the sale and that is a rare thing in this era.

The service and results were as one might expect. The job was completed correctly and on time, but no one bothered to learn our names or make any suggestions. We were pretty much on our own, but as we had designed the invitations ourselves, it was not a major issue.

When we were disappointed in our first room, the hotel manager immediately offered us the Vice Presidential Suite – for two weeks, at no extra charge. The restaurant staff became personally involved in our honeymoon, recommending places to go, preparing special dishes and comping occasional drinks. Every time we appeared in the lobby, it buzzed about how we were on our honeymoon and we certainly got the red-carpet treatment. I am from Florida, and it is rare in an area that is inundated with tourism for a staff to be so extremely courteous. We are both well-traveled and agreed that this service was above any we ever experienced.
