Let me start off by saying "DO NOT SHOP HERE!"
These guys lack customer service and will ruin your special engagement ring.
This shop is run by cowboys and not professionals. Prakash Sheth, the guy behind the counter will blame you for everything that this place does wrong. When I first got my ring, it looked beautiful, I was so happy with it....the nightmare started when I went to get it appraised. I bought a princess cut set in a platinum ring with a square halo around it. Looking under a microscope at the appraisers revealed the halo had a a chunk of platinum missing near one of the prongs and a diamond missing. I took it back and they said, "No problem, we'll fix it". I also asked them to size the ring at 3.5. A week later I get the ring back, again it looks good at no magnification. I proposed and the ring was too big. I took the ring back and saw that it was 4.5 not 3.5 as I had asked. Prakash stood there and blamed me that I was the one that told him it was 4.5. Next up a week later the ring comes back resized and its really tight, we found out it was 3.25 now. I take it back to the appraiser and we put it under a microscope. Here's is what we found. The Jeweler had resized the ring not with platinum but with some Rhodium hyperalloy (cheaper material) and the place where the diamond was missing with the chunk of platinum was replaced with a drop of solder and the tiny diamond which goes in the corner wasnt even aligned properly. The solder had started to rust and had become golden brown in appearance, it looked HORRIBLE! I went back to Prakash really angry and he told me to go to the guy that does the job on the ring. I'm super vexed at this point ready to beat something down. It seems like Prakash is in partnership with the people who actually provide rings and Prakash only provides the diamonds. So now Prakash is asking me to deal with the guys who keep fucking up my ring directly. This Vietnamese girl takes me to this shop across the street where they seem to set the stone into the ring and make modifications to the ring. Like I suspected, they were all Vietnamese! This short little vietnamese guy who had been working on my ring says to me, "I haven't soldered anything or mixed any material other than platinum on your ring." So I said to him, "explain to me why this shit is golden brown then?" He takes a look and says, "oh it seems I left I small piece of my drill bit in there, and that is rusting causing the colour change!" I was like WTF!!!!! He looks at me and says, "These things happen, we're working with very small tools!" I wanted to bitch slap this dude! But he reluctantly apologises and then says he'll fix it. I'm thinking "damn right you'll fix it you stupid cowboy!" And size that thing to 3.5 while you're at it. At this point I'm really really really angry, trust me when I say while I'm writing this review that the feeling of anger is coming back to when I think about all this. So a week later I get the ring back, and guess how it is sized??? Instead of doing the right thing and using a professional laser to cut the ring and fill it with platninum, the fool sanded the ring down, yes he freaking made the ring thinner by sanding down the platinum. ARRRRGH! I took the ring back to the appraiser, and he said the ring is now just really a poor example of how rings should not be constructed. There were jagged edages on which my fiancee cut her finger when she tried it on in front of Prakash at the Jewellery store. Prakash still insists there are no jagged edges. Dude, can't you see the flippin cut on her finger? The Vietnamese chick comes out and says to me "Its a beautiful ring" I just wanted to freaking shove that ring up her you know what! And on top of all this, Prakash charges me another $50 for sanding down the platinum ring to make it bigger. Looking through a loupe now I showed Prakash where the jagged edges were, too which he replied, we can't smoothen these down otherwise we will wear too much platinum off the ring! I am so angry with these guys, and would recommend no one goes here. Please please please do NOT waste your time, effort and money with these crooked Jewellers.
