Bachelor Party: When we got out of the limo we first went to Morgan Street Brewery, and they asked us what we were celebrating, and one my groomsmen said we were a bachelor party. The bounce immediately said we couldn’t come in b/c they didn’t allow bachelor parties in Morgan Street which I thought was ridiculous.
Studio 309 is owned by TJ Ingrassia. He is a very good videographer. He made a beautiful video that was feature length (1 1/2 hours). He was also very good on the wedding day. He stayed out of the way, and got very good shots. He was also very prompt with the video. He had it done in 2 months after the wedding which is very impressive to me. He also asked us what we wanted, and showed it in the finished product of the video. He is also very reasonably priced. He is very reasonable, and includes several DVD’s in the price. I would definitely recommend him for your wedding day.

John Reusch is an exceptional jeweler. They are located in the U Club tower across from the Galleria. I went in there to meet with him to buy my wife’s engagement ring. He sat down with me for an hour and a half in his office. He explained to me diamonds, and what was the best deal for me for my budget. He also didn’t try to pressure me into spending more than what I wanted to spend. I also got a ring that is significantly better than one I would have gotten at a box store. I went on a competitor’s website and priced the same ring, and that ring was twice the price of the ring I got. I would recommend John for all of your wedding jewelry needs.

The best vacation I’ve ever been on. It was the most hospitable place I’ve ever stayed at. It is located in Cancun, and only a 10 minute drive from the airport. They have a shuttle that picks you up, and drops you off. You are never expected to tip, but when you do it is much appreciated. It is an all-inclusive resort so you can eat and drink as much as you want. The rooms are very beautiful, and are very clean. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a good honeymoon. There are a lot of activities both day and night. The entertainment crew during the day really tried to get people involved, and were very fun. The nightly entertainment was also good. They had a Michael Jackson impersonator who was very good and entertaining. This was an awesome trip, and we are trying to get back there again this year.

As a guy I wasn’t really concerned too much with the flowers. But the lady was very expensive. She also messed up, and didn’t bring enough bouquets. How hard is that? Isn’t that your job as a florist? It ended working out okay b/c the maid of honor carried the throw bouquet, but still unacceptable in my opinion. The groomsmen boutineers were good. They were very ungirly which I appreciated.

The ceremony turned out very good…BUT…they aren’t real flexible with decorations, and what you want. Now granted it is a church, and they have to have rules but they could be a little more flexible. They also have a wedding planner that you have to deal with that is known as the wedding nazi. And she is. She tries to tell the bride what to do. We had to hire a friend to be our designated wedding coordinator to just deal with her. I wouldn’t suggest having a wedding here unless you’re not too concerned about how your ceremony goes.

Food: The catering was done by the hall that we had our reception. The food was very good, and for the price it was hard to beat. We only paid around $20/person, and got many choices. We elected not to have alcohol at the reception, but the price difference was not that much. The catering staff was also very friendly.
DJ: The DJ was provided by the reception hall. She was pretty good. I worked for another DJ service in the area, and so I’m probably too critical. She was on the microphone way too much in my opinion, and played some weird music that I think was requested. Overall she did a fine job. I would recommend her.
Venue: This was a great place for a wedding reception. Tom is the owner, and he is great. He listens to what you want, and tries to cater to whatever you want. He also has a great sense of humor, and can take sarcasm which my wife is very good at. He was also very helpful on the wedding night. If we needed anything he would get it for us. I would recommend this reception hall to anyone. It was also very affordable.

The cake we had was amazing. I didn’t hear any complaints from anyone about the cake. It looked good as well, and really went with the theme of the wedding. The lady that ran the bakery was a little brash. She really didn’t want to do what we wanted, but ended up doing what we wanted. Overall the cake ended up great. I would highly recommend going with this cake company.

My wife mentioned that she and her bridesmaids had a good time at this bar, but that there were not a lot of people there. They doubled the amount of people who were there when they walked into the bar. It didn’t sound like the Spy Bar was a very good spot for a bachelorette party.

Me and my groosmen went down to Laclede’s Landing for my bachelor party. It was a good time, but there were some problems with having a bachelor party down there. When we got out of the limo we first went to Morgan Street Brewery, and they asked us what we were celebrating, and one my groomsmen said we were a bachelor party. The bouncer immediately said we couldn’t come in b/c they didn’t allow bachelor parties in Morgan Street which I thought was ridiculous. We then tried to get into the BUCA night club. They wouldn’t let us in there b/c one of my groomsmen was wearing a white t-shirt. We finally got into a bar called Big Daddy’s. We had a good time, but there are probably much better places to go.
