Music is one of the most important things in my life. I had been planning my wedding songs for years. And the playlist. This is probably the only area where I was bridezilla like and my DJ was very understanding. I had strict rules of what could and couldn't be played and he followed them. He kept the dance floor full.

Our bridesmaids and groomsmen gifts came from From The Blue Bag. We got the groomsmen crown royal cigar ash trays and a cigar for each of them. We got the bridesmaids these flattened Chardonnay bottles that look like they still have wine in them. They are so cool. The company uses recycled bottles and keeps them from going into landfills. For our parents we got them each a champagne bottle engraved with the invitations on it. They all loved their gifts.

My parents had the rehearsal dinner at their home. The food was amazing and catered by A Silverware Affair. I have no idea how much they spent though. Gotta love the 'rents!

We stayed here the night of our wedding. It is right accross the street from Maggianos, where we had our reception so it was veyr convenient. This hotel has a very modern feel and they took really good care of us.

I got my favors fro Jax Fine Wine. They were mini champagne bottles. I forget which brand we ordered but they had several to pick from and helped me decided based on what color the foil and bottle were.

I put my husband in charge of the tuxes with only limitations on the colors. He had a swatch of fabric that the vests had to be close to. They found vests and ties to match my swatch almost exactly. My husband did say the sales person was a little snotty to our 2 year old nephew but I guess we can't hold that against Mens Warehouse, just that jerk.

I ordered my save the dates through vistaprint and opted to do the magnets. They look very pretty but they are very flimsy.

I had two friends get married in the year before I did and they both used Flowers By Joanne. I couldn't have been more impressed with the flowers for each of their weddings - but then I was with the flowers for my own. they did exactly what I had envisioned. I'd definitely use them again. For another event since this will be my only wedding! ha ha

Bride's World was wonderful and they include fittings and alterations in the price of the dress. It may have cost me more than going to a chain bridal place but it was sooooo worth it.

We did a family style dinner at The Ballroom at Maggianos. This is a great location because the Crowne Plaza is right across the street which made it convenient for guest that took full advantage of the open bar. The food was great - have to to pay the extra and get the crab cakes. They were amazing. While Maggianos is a chain, they really do make it feel like an old ballroom.
