Since our reception was held here, we stayed in the presidential suite on our wedding night. The room was very elegant, from the wall paper to the furniture. There was a baby grand piano in the living room area. It was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was marble. Overall, it was a comfortable area, especially after the tiring day that we had. We had a complimentary breakfast buffet as well. The staff was very courteous and promptly assisted us in bringing our wedding presents downstairs when we checked out.

Horrible experience. Limo driver was not familiar with Ann Arbor area. As a UMich alumni I wanted my wedding pictures taken in the law quad on campus. After the pictures were taken we headed back towards the limo and the driver was no where to be found. After waiting 15 minutes for him to come back, we asked if he knew where he was going since he was headed TOWARDS the stadium area (there was a football game that was about to end). We instructed him on the best route back to the freeway and he proceeded to ignore us. We were stuck in game day traffic for over an hour! Then we were running out of time on our way to the reception, he told us we would be charged extra if we went over the hours booked.

Rehearsal Dinner: Great food, and good accommodation. The food was served family style. The area provided was private and spacious for all of our guests, although somewhat confusing to get to. The service was great, and staff was friendly. Extra tables were needed and they were quick to accommodate. Our guests were extremely happy with the taste of the food as well as the multiple courses.

I loved the pictures that this company took for our wedding. The only thing I wished was that I wasn’t so tired on our wedding day, otherwise I would have had them take more pictures of us. The turnaround time for the photo album was approximately 3 months after the wedding day. The photographers were very professional and were open to any types of shots that we wanted done throughout the day. They even managed to make my husband look good in the pictures since he doesn’t do well in front of a camera. I have recommended them to several people in the past. Those who have seen our wedding album have only compliments about the photos taken.

President Tuxedo had a good selection of tuxedos at a good price range for those in our wedding party. Since there are a lot of different locations, those in the wedding party were able to drive to the one that was close to them and rent from there. We did not have any issues and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The President Tuxedo that we went to was in Westland. 
 


I was expecting a professional to do my hair for the amount of money I paid. The rate was comparable to other hairstylists but unbeknownst to me, until the day of my wedding, the girl that did my hair was only a student, not a licensed professional. She did my hair well, but did a mediocre job with the other women in my bridal party. If I knew that a student was going to be doing my hair for that price I probably would have went elsewhere just because I don’t believe I should have paid $150 for a student to do my hair.

I disliked how we could not choose the types of flowers and arrangements for the wedding. I also disliked the fact that I could not choose my own organist. If I wanted a family friend to play I would be charged extra for it. The wedding coordinator for the church was very pushy and things had to be done her way. I wanted my bridesmaids and groomsmen in height order but she insisted that the pairs should be how I had them originally. 
 


The cakes are delicious and they have a variety of options in styles and flavors. I have purchased baked goods, cakes and pies from this store prior to my wedding. I knew that this was the place where I would order my wedding cake since they have always been so friendly and knowledgeable. They were also prompt with delivery. In addition to the wedding cake, we received a free cake for our one year anniversary. Payment is cash or check only, no credit card, which is the only disadvantage.

The selection of dresses was limited. I wanted to change my bridesmaids dresses to something else and they were very accommodating to that request. Shipping was expediated and arrived before the date given. I would recommend this place to friends for bridesmaids dresses. The dresses were priced fairly. Parking is an issue depending on the time you go to the store. There was limited parking spots available when we went a few times.

The room was adequate for the bridal shower but the wall paper were very drab. The room needed a makeover. The lighting was not very good. We had the shower in one of the smaller rooms, not one of the ballrooms. The food was bland. We had ordered the chicken dishes for the shower.
