We had a joint guys/girls wedding shower at Dave & Buster’s and rented out one of the private rooms. The food minimums were really high and we didn’t eat even half of it. They also would not let us take any of it home, so there was a LOT of food wasted that we paid for. We ended up leaving the room for most of the night and playing games, which was pretty fun. If you have a really large party its worth the cost, but if it is just a few close friends, its not.

We loved staying at the Renaissance Hotel on our wedding night. They catered to our every need. They even had a congratulations card in our room with a bottle of champagne and chocolates. The view is breathtaking if you get a room high up in the tower – it is totally worth it. They also have a package where breakfast is included, so it was nice to get up on the morning after and just walk down to the restaurant for breakfast. It was a buffet style and the food tasted great!
Gayle does amazing work and she has well over 30 years of experience. Her home bakery is in Virginia, but she can travel to Nashville for weddings. She also did our catering and it was amazing. She listened to every little detail I wanted and put it into motion. Everything was perfectly arranged like I imagined it would be. I highly recommend her – it is worth paying her travel expenses to come bake the cake or do your catering for your wedding!
The Belmont Mansion is a gorgeous site to have a wedding. There is a grand staircase that you walk down and it makes for a very romantic setting. The people are very easy to work with and very timely and organized. Your guests are able to view the historical home while they are waiting for the ceremony to start, so it is a great place for entertaining. If you have never seen the interior of the mansion, I highly recommend you check it out. The setting is basically just candelight, so make sure your photographer can shoot in low lighting!
Jessica is very affordable and does great work. I went to her about a week before my wedding so we could try out the style I wanted and make sure it would work flawlessly on my wedding day. On the day, she met me at the venue and did my hair there. It was great because she could touch it up right before I walked down the aisle. It was flawless and my curls lasted all night. I definitely recommend her!
We ordered our wedding bands from eweddingbands.com. They had the best prices on wedding bands and many options. The delivery was quick and their customer services was excellent. They also have a lifetime resizing warranty, so that is really helpful and gives peace of mind. My husband’s band was a little too big, so we sent it back and they resized it and got it back to us very quickly. Excellent service and highly recommended.
I bought do-it-yourself invitations and it took me a while to find the ones that I ended up buying. So many of them are very plain and traditional. I ended up purchasing the envelopes, paper, and special touches to the invitations all separately from paper.com and they were very willing to work with me on a shipping price – free shipping. They have a great selection and the paper quality is excellent. Their website is very easy to navigate and they have quick customer service.

I attended Weddings: the Bridal Show about a year before my wedding and thought I would get a lot of vendors from that show. I was surprised that I did not use even one vendor that I saw at the show. I got great ideas but many of the vendors were too traditional or way over priced. The dresses that were shown at the show were also very plain. I’m into more of a couture, creative look and I felt like the show catered to a more traditional bride than a modern bride.

I wasn’t sure who to get to alter my dress and the bridal store recommended her. She actually came out to the bridal store and took my measurements there and then took the dress home with her to alter. I was very pick about how the dress hung on me and she was definitely willing to work with me until it was perfect. I think I went back to her about 4 times for little tweaks, and each time she met me at the bridal store. She is very talented and made the dress look perfect.

The girls at the Bride Room were amazing to work with. I tried on about 5 dresses there and finally found my perfect one. They sold it to me at an amazing price and were great at keeping up with me over email to let me know the status of everything. I went in and tried on the dress several times to make sure it was the right size and they were excellent, knowledgeable and very friendly. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a boutique wedding gown, something different than you see at other shops in the area. They are exclusive carriers of several high end designers and they have amazing selection.
