For my bridal shower, my maid of honor got all of the food and snacks from Costco. They have so many great little finger sandwiches and hors d'oerves that were really easy to heat up and serve, and were very cost effective. She also purchased a few dozen roses to make little centerpieces there - only $15 for 2 dozen roses! They were absolutely beautiful flowers - and so cheap!

We got our linens for the reception through BBJ. I wasn't sure what I wanted until we went to their show room and looked through tons of samples of linens that matched or complimented my colors. I had no idea that a table cloth isn't just a table cloth until I started planning my wedding. They were great to work with and were able to find a beautiful combination of linens that worked within my colors and budget.

Clean Plate Club has got to be one of the best caterers in town. Monica is such a creative chef and an absolute delight to work with. Her staff is polite, knowledgeable and above all professional. I've been to several weddings that she catered and every meal was fantastic. They may be a little pricier than some caterers, but it really comes down to you get what you pay for - and Clean Plate Club's food is absolutely worth the cost.

We initially went looking at rings at the Tiffany's in NYC. Of course, which girl doesn't want a perfect Tiffany's ring?! However, I couldn't believe how much some of the rings cost! The ring I wanted was over $70,000 - we ended up getting one at a local jeweler that looked exactly like it for under $10,000. What you are really paying for isn't the ring - it is the name. I would rather keep the $60,000 we saved and put it into our home...not on my finger!

We had a fantastic experience with Shane Co. My fiance purchased my ring from them, and then we went back together to purchase our wedding bands. The sales people were not pushy in the least, which is usually my biggest pet peeve! On a purchase as large and important as our ringer, we wanted to go with a place that offered a lifetime guarantee, which Shane does. Down the road when we upgrade my ring, we will absolutely be going back to Shane.

We decided against sending out paper save-the-dates because they get lost among everyone's mail so easily. The magnets were definitely the way to go - they were comparable in price to sending regular save-the-dates, and they were a much more creative way to let people know we were getting married and to hold the date. We had some great engagement photos, so we added them onto our magnet. The pricing was very reasonable and the turnaround time from this site was great.

I have always been a fan of Victoria's Secret - especially their 'Pink' line. I bought all of my bridesmaids a different PINK sweatsuit to wear for the day of the wedding so that they'd be comfortable while running around getting ready. It was a great idea for a gift because it is something they can wear over and over again after the wedding. I also got my wedding night lingerie from VS - no complaints there :)

I bought about 3 pairs of shoes from here for my wedding! I ended up wearing two of them - heels for the ceremony and flats for the reception. I had seen the shoes I bought in the store at full price but ended up getting them through Zappos sooo much cheaper. I love that their shipping is free and if you don't like the shoes they have a pretty much no hassle return policy. I've been ordering shoes from them since my experience with them for my wedding and I love them.

My husband had lived in Hawaii for several years before we met and would always talk about how beautiful it was and how much he loved it there. It only made sense that would be where he'd want to take me on our honeymoon! It was a great trip - it balanced out giving us the opportunity to relax and just enjoy being together, but there was still plenty of site seeing and other activities on the island to keep us busy if we started getting restless! I'm hoping to go back for our 5 year anniversary!

In lieu of a traditional bachelorette party, some girlfriends and I decided to just do a really nice dinner. Saffire is one of those restaurants that has a really great atmosphere, and it was perfect for a quiet night with my close friends. The food there is a bit pricey, but not downright outrageous, and it is worth the money. I got mahi mahi over grits that was phenomenal. The one complaint I had was that our waiter just didn't know his boundaries and would stand at the table and try to be funny. Rather than staying for dessert like we had planned, we went ahead and got the check and left because he was getting on my last nerve!
