We started out with a great meal at Café Sevilla, and then we made our way to Dick’s Last Resort for drinks, and to dive bars and dance bars. As a bachelorette party, we always were ushered to the front of the line…no cover! Nice.

We had an intimate candle-lit backyard wedding, and I wanted to wear something with a Bohemian feel. I found an amazing satin/embroidered skirt at softsurroundings.com. It was the perfect fit, as it came in tall! I don’t think I have ever felt more beautiful!

If you’re comfortable with your relationship, and you trust your man, you may indulge the whim of one last night of debauchery…mental, anyway. He loves you, right…be ok with that, and he’ll love you all the more. Confidence is so attractive! My husband enjoyed the dancing beauties at Cheetah’s with his guy friends.

We dressed up in 50’s gear, did Jell-O shots, and cracked up while we listened to old songs from Grease…and we even did the Chicken Dance. It was fun!

We ordered several rolls in bulk. Again, we had a small number of guests, so we just ordered a smorgasbord of Japanese goodness from one of our favorite restaurants.

For do-it-yourselfers, farmers’ markets are the best place for flowers. You can usually tell the vendor what you’re looking for, and they will bring what you need. The La Mesa Farmers Market is on Fridays, so I bought what I needed, put them in a bucket, and I put together my bouquets and arrangements the next day!

Elegant, romantic, and historic! It was a night I’ll never forget. There were roses in our room…we brought candles, and we looked out over the Gaslamp!

I love photo cards. We had our invites include a great shot of us kissing and lyrics from our favorite Nick Drake song! Everyone loved them, and they were inexpensive and non-traditional!
