I had a trial for my wedding with Lillian from Starlight and she did a fabulous job. She also did all the makeup at my sister's wedding and we all received so many compliments on our makeup.

When researching makeup artists in Chicago, I found that a lot of them charge for trials or will only include a trial if you have already booked them. After my sister and I had one unsuccessful trial with a different makeup artist, we didn't want to waste money and not be happy with the results. Starlight is great because they don't charge for a trial since they are so confident that you will like it. Also, they come to you on your wedding day. Lillian was punctual and professional at my sister's wedding. At a friend's wedding, the makeup artist was running so behind that it really threw off the schedule.

While there might be cheaper makeup artists out there, I came to the conclusion that this is such an important day that I really didn't want to mess around with something that I didn't love. I felt gorgeous with the makeup that Lillian did for me at my trial and at my sister's wedding and I can't wait to work with her on my own wedding day.
