Cheekwood is just absolutely exquisite all around. I did makeup for a bride who had her bridal portraits done here. There are so many lovely parts of the garden that are ideal for a small ceremony or reception. Since my niece is in the process of planning her wedding, I decided to check into having the wedding at Cheekwood. As beautiful as the site is, it is very very pricey and you are limited with your catering options. If you have the money, it is probably worth it, but for those brides on a budget, keep looking.

I also attended this bridal show to familiarize myself with the various vendors in the Nashville bridal industry. I was overwhelmed with the size of the show from the moment I walked in. I expected to be able to do some talking with some of the vendors, but most of their booths were so mobbed that I couldn't tell who were patrons and who were vendors. I can only imagine that the brides there to plan their weddings were just as if not more so overwhelmed than I was.

We recently had a birthday party for a friend in their private dining room, the 'blue' room. We had about 30 people in there and there was plenty of room for everything to be comfortably seated. The food was fantastic - we had eaten there plenty of times before independently, but even with a group this large, they didn't drop the ball on the food. The service was also fantastic - they were quick, efficient and accurate. This place is an ideal place for a rehearsal dinner, or even a bridal shower.

I met Jay at the bridal show that I attended to get to know vendors. His display absolutely blew me away - that was JUST how they LOOKED. When I actually tasted his cake, I was floored that they tasted even better than they looked. He provided a cake for our photo shoot as well and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He has a fantastic storefront in Murfreesboro - he is definitely the elite in Nashville for cakes!

Matchless provided the vintage cars for a bridal photoshoot that I was organizing. They were professional, punctual and went above and beyond to help us get some great shots. Not only did they provide us with one gorgeous vintage vehicle, but they actually sent an additional vintage limousine to help us out. Their driver was courteous, personable and provided even us the red carpet service that they have become known for. If you're looking for high class transportation for your big day, don't hesitate to call these guys.

I purchase a lot of my makeup from MAC and have always had a great experience. The artists there are all truly knowledgeable about their products - I tend to ask a lot of questions when I'm thinking about purchasing a new product, and they always take the time to demonstrate for me. If you're a bride on a budget, going to a MAC counter and asking lots of questions about what would work for the look you're going for is a great way to get what you want for less.

I attended this show to get to know some of the other vendors in the local bridal industry. I was thoroughly impressed with how the show was set up and run. It wasn't overwhelming like a lot of other shows I had previously attended. They seemed to be much more selective on the vendors they allowed to be included in the show. The vendors at this show were the best of the best and truly knew what they were doing. It was a very classy event. The only thing was that it was on a Thursday night which made it difficult to get there from work.

Dee has been a friend of mine for a long time - I used to own a shop right next to the Spoiled Lady. She provided the gowns for a bridal photoshoot that we did. I've never heard anyone have anything but positive experiences dealing with her and her staff at the Spoiled Lady. They had such a great selection of gowns and accessories from jewelry for us to choose from for the shoot - and they were phenomenal with helping us select what was the latest trends and styles.

I was putting together a bridal photoshoot to add to my portfolio and was looking for a florist who was interested in making some arrangements for the shoot. I met Jimm at a bridal show and was blown away not only by his amazing work, but by how friendly and professional he was. He provided us with some beautiful bouquets and boutainnaires for our shoot - I had never even seen some of the materials he used in the arrangements - they were exquisite and unique. Jimm was a pleasure to work with.

As a makeup artist I have crossed paths on shoots with Gregory several times. He is extremely easy to work with, very open to ideas from me and the subject whom he is shooting and has extremely quick turnaround times with the proofs from the shoot. I haven't worked on a wedding shoot with him, but if you're looking for someone to shoot some killer engagement photos or bridal photos, he is absolutely fantastic in the studio - plus his rates are very reasonable.
