You can NOT go wrong with a cake from Judi! She was so helpful and sweet from the very beginning, and I really enjoyed communicating with her. She was very patient as we argued about what/how the cake would be, so she suggested that she have a little free-way in taking everything that we talked about and working from there. She sketched out an idea, and my husband and I both loved it. She definitely brought that sketch to life, and the cake was just so moist and DELICIOUS!

I was enjoying my day, and once we got to the Battle House, I told myself to not let anything else bother/ruin my day. I was happy with how everything was set-up as per our arrangements, but there were little things that irked me that I was trying to shrug off. First, we had an issue with our Bar as we had arranged our Cocktail Hour to be complimentary for our guests, as well as the first hour of dinner and then it would be cash bar. After dinner I found out that they had been charging our guests since dinner started. My dad took care of it and then rectified the situation by having the last hour open bar (which was okay considering but by then a lot of our guests had left). Then they didn't have coffee service with our cake as we had asked them to provide (I heard that guests had to request coffee). And the big thing that really bothered me was that we had really enjoyed our tasting and thought that the food was going to be just as good... Parts were okay, parts were cold, and the service was lacking (and according to my MIL, who is nothing but sweet), and at time RUDE. But overall, things went well.

I didn't like the linens that were included in our reception package, so I looked at a few places to see what I could get. All the Details had the colors that I wanted at affordable rates, so we rented our chair covers, chair bows and table linens and napkins from them. I was pleased with the linens provided, but disliked the fact that they wanted to charge an arm and a leg just to set everything up for us. I said screw that, and enlisted the help of family and friends to set-up everything in the morning, which worked out well!

We decided to splurge on having a Rolls Royce bring us to the reception, and then a limo to transport us to our hotel. Southern Comfort was very easy to work with, and we got a great deal on very cool rolls and limo with a sweet drivers who were professional. The cars were clean, and we enjoyed the fact that it was our first time in both!! The limo driver was even very very sweet because he agreed t go back to the club to pick up my parents and our gifts and transport them to our house, where he helped them bring everything inside as well! They definitely went above and beyond what was expected of them, and that was very appreciated!

We not only loved our photos, but we definitely loved the package deal we got from My Shotz. Tad and his wife/assistant Debbie are incredible! They are very successful and professional and I would recommend them to anyone.

Carl is the best! He has great taste, loves fresh ideas but also does wonderfully with traditional. He has a great personality to boot. He is very personable and you know get the feeling he really cares about YOUR wedding. I definitely recommend Carl and Southern Veranda! Our flowers were PERFECT!

SHBC is the most beautiful and one of the oldest Baptist churches in Mobile. The church has with stunning stained glass windows and can accommodate a large wedding (which was perfect for us), or even a small one. We found SHBC to be very warm and welcoming, and our ceremony was very lovely there.

I scheduled my hair appointment at the Regis Hair Salon, and I was very pleased with how my hair turned out. It was an updo with curls, and I loved that it stayed perfect throughout the night, but was light and didn't have that heavy weighted-down feeling of having a can of hairspray in your hair. I did feel like the girl that tended to me was rushing through my appointment because I wanted to stay calm and not stressed, but she was giving me a hurried vibe. But in the end, I was very happy with my hair!

Hubby and the guys went to Randall's to pick out their suits to wear. I had specific guidelines that I called the store in advance to inform them, and they went by those. I think the guys were all very pleased with their suits not only because they all looked great in them, but because of the affordable prices and the fact that I selected a suit that can not only be used for formal occasions but for other occasions as well.

We were VERY lucky that all of our guests are on the internet. We saved BIG by not purchasing actual invitations because we just sent out our invitations online through evite. Evite is so easy to use, and they have a lot of pretty layouts to select as your invitation. They even have the option of uploading your own layout, which we did. And it wasn't even 10 days later that we heard back from almost 75% of our guests whether or not they were coming! How awesome is that?!? Evite totally rocks!
