I would have to say that overall Soup to Nuts did a quite a good job. Ralph and Daniel who own the company are extremely nice guys. The food they made was quite good, and they use a lot of local vegetables and fresh ingredients. They are a newer catering company on Maui, but will soon probably become more well-known. The reason for the less than perfect rating is for 3 reasons:
#1 They made dark-meat chicken for our wedding, when chicken breast is the only thing I eat and it was discussed many times beforehand. Therefore I, the bride, didn’t have a meal to eat – BIG OOPS.
#2 In dealing with them months beforehand it was quite frenetic, with Daniel always needing to get back to us, or some crisis happening on their end. When we spoke to Chef Ralph it was always down to business and very professional, which was great, but Daniel seemed a bit scattered. The back and forth really delayed everything being nailed down sooner, which is what we really wanted.
#3 One of their female servers was quite rude to our guests, and we were really embarrassed. She had a serious attitude problem, which ultimately falls on the management. They need to be very diligent in who they hire for events.

Overall, they are great caterers, very nice people, make good food, and their pricing was very much in-line with our budget. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, with the caveat that you need to be very specific about food details. And expect that there will be a lot of email/phone tag until the event.
