Kris Nations designed my custom earrings for my wedding day as well as custom 18K gold and tourmaline necklaces for each of my bridesmaids. The outcome was perfect, beautiful, unique and a little bit funky (which is what I like).
Kris herself is a true artist, kind and patient and I am glad to call her not only a stellar vendor but a personal friend of mine. Fantastic!
Andrea Yung Toth is pure creative genius. Andrea designed our entire suite of paper products--from our STDs, invites, table numbers, wish tree tags to our welcome dinner invites (see pictures above). She is not only incredibly talented but extremely detail oriented and a complete perfectionist. We received FOUR of our invites framed as gifts for our wedding! People are still talking about the quality and uniqueness of her work.
As a bride, she took my initial ideas and ran with it. Her communication was impeccable, her style supreme and the finished product more than what I dreamed of.
In less than a month after my wedding, THV produced a very good quality video of my wedding. The highlight video was good but some of the effects were a bit cheesy. I much preferred the full length and the montage at the end was the best. Their turnaround was great and Darren, our videographer was fantastic. We never knew he was there and he was polite, on time and very professional.
THV is a good standard video shop good for the budget bride. I wish we would have hired Justin Fone or Weddings on Film but by the time I came aware of them, the deposit was already out.
I also take a star off for customer service. They are very nice but they had a mix up with charging us and still have yet to recify the situation. We have had several calls into them and they can't seem to figure out what the deal is.
Lastly, I recommend NOT having them stream and host your video online. First, they charge an obscene amount (we thought we were getting the full length and the highlight. No, no, just the highlight) and they only host for 6 months. 450$ for 6 months and a 10 minute video? No thank you. Not to mention, downloading times are awful so much so we are battling to get our money back. No one could even access it!
In any case, if you are looking for someone to straight shoot your wedding, no real cinematography or film editing, this is your place.
The output was good, solid. Nothing awe-inspiring.

Beautiful location but the room decor and furniture needs updating. I stayed here the weekend of my wedding in the Celestial Moon Bridal Suite. It was great in that it's huge and me and all my girls could get ready with ease. However, for 450$+ a night I expected more of the service I received at Carneros Inn a few days later (for 500$ a night). Things like twice daily maid service (my room was a mess when we left for the ceremony and even though we asked for a clean up, it never happened), a bottle of champagne in the room (they knew we were getting married), etc.
For that price, I expected a bit more little touches. Not to mention nearly all of the other rooms that weekend were filled with guests from my wedding.
Great place for space and convenience but for the price, the Rose in Pleasanton would be better.
Murrieta's Well is a beautifully intimate and special location for an event or wedding. We just were married there May 31, 2008. Owned by Wente, the staff and catering is all done by Wente which boasts a five star restaurant. Everyone RAVED about the food and service and the venue itself was absolutely beautiful. We had the whole winery to ourselves which made for a personal event.
Working with Heather Druba in the sales office was divine, she is very laid back and responsive and made planning my wedding a snap.
My only complaint is with our on-site coordinator we had that day. She was very hurried and unorganized and gave me, my parents and my husband the feeling she wanted us to "hurry up and get out." My day of coordinator gave her detailed information on set up and contact information for vendors and yet, 30 minutes before the end of my reception she was asking ME where my shuttle bus was! As if I had the drivers number tucked into my dress. Nevertheless, our wedding went off without a hitch due to my other vendors and the lovely, lovely location.

Irene married us on May 31, 2008. The ceremony was so beautiful, unique and intimate. Everyone raved how personal it was and how special she captured how my husband and I love one another. Irene is very calming, warm and approachable and made our ceremony one to treasure for the rest of our lives. She was a joy to work with and I highly recommend her.

Dave Tutton knows his music. He comes to each and every event cool, calm, professional and ready to get folks moving! We had people on the dance floor the entire night, the music for the ceremony was spot on and his set up, attitude and approach during speeches was nothing but professional and stylish.
He is absolutely awesome and loves what he does and it shows. My guests and my husband and I are still raving about it!

We used J Crew for our bridesmaid dresses. The girls said ordering was very easy, quick delivery and easy in store returns. I found them to be extremely helpful when I was deciding, they sent me swatches overnight (!!!) to see fabrics and even called to check back in and see what I decided.
The dresses are high quality and the fabric (we chose the cotton cady line) very lush and nice. I will advise to order a size down from your normal, all of the dresses for my five BMs were big and need alteration.
Great quality, great price. Fast shipment and lots of selection. Very easy to deal with and I wear mine all the time.

Update:
Alice did respond to my messages and issued a full refund accordingly. While my review remains the same given my experience, I do want to note that Alice is technically proficient, my issue is with the way she handled our business arrangement and communication practice.
Initial Review:
It makes me sad to write this review but I want others to be forewarned. Alice is a great makeup artist technically but her business practice and professionalism is horrendous. If I could give her less than a star, I would.
Alice did my makeup for my boudoir session and I booked her for my wedding coming up in May. We did a bridal trial before vamping for the boudoir and while I liked it then, I looked at pictures afterward and wanted some tweaking.
It took her two weeks to get back to me (in her defense she was sick but two weeks without an email or a response to my voice mails?) and we rescheduled a re-trial for January when I was back in SF.
The day of the re-trial, hours before, I get a message from her via email telling me she cannot make the trial, is going through a professional change and good luck with my wedding!
There was no mention of a refund of my deposit and if she was changing jobs, she found out five hours ahead of time?! After we booked the trial six weeks prior and I planned a trip back to SF around the trial? Sigh. Needless to say, I sent her a harsh email demanding my refund back and have yet to receive a reply.
Anyway, as I said, she is a decent artist but I would never, ever work with her again on any level. There are far better artists with far more professionalism and courtesy than Alice. I am just happy she showed her true colors in time for me to move on to someone else much better.
In short, keep looking.
