I absolutely loved working with the Crowne Plaza. It was the one off of Lindbergh. The package was all inclusive (venue, food, pre-reception with appetizers, cake, ice sculpture, honeymoon suite, hotel room discounts for guests). They really worked with us to stay within our budget. The communication was great between me and the manager and he answered ALL of my questions. We were allowed to come in any time and view the area. They assisted in set-up and take-down and were very professional. The atmosphere was great with the atrium having a full wall of glass. All the food at the taste test was great and the dish we chose was so good people at the reception were asking for seconds. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone.

I encountered this vendor at a bridal show and played a game that gave me a nice discount if I chose to go with them. I visited their shop and was impressed with the tuxes I saw. I brought my fiance along (just for show lol) and worked with the salesmen to find exactly the look I was going for. They had all kinds of little extras though we were not interested. Also the discount I had gotten really helped -meaning there were no inflated prices to make it negligible once we got to the store. They were very accommodating to our groomsmen and it was smooth sailing from there.

This is where I bought my husbands wedding ring. The outlet at the St. Louis Mills had much better prices than the other stores. The salespeople were very helpful and I was thoroughly satisfied that I got a good deal on a ring. I did not pay all at once but ended up getting a zales card so that I could pay the balance later. The card was nice because I got the ring in May and did not have to make a payment until August. But make sure if you do this that you pay it off as soon as possible because the interest is extremely high. I would use them again.

I was very impressed with Jacita’s work. She was creative and was interested in all aspects of my hairstyle. She is my normal stylist and we began months in advance considering the look that go with my dress. I looked through magazines and she also contributed her ideas. We did three test trials before we decided upon a final style. She and another stylist blocked off that whole morning to take care of my wedding party and I. I would recommend her shop to anyone!
I chose to do the flowers myself since we were on a budget. But I definitely wanted real flowers and lots of them. Sams club online was the best source. I got to pick from tons of flowers and colors. It was VERY affordable and they arrived two days before the wedding. Me and my crew had to de-thorn, cut, and bundle them but that was not hard at all. They arrived in excellant condition and lasted well beyond the wedding and reception. I had the choice to have them delivered to my local sams club for pick-up or delivered to my apartment, which I did the latter. I got white, light pink and dark pink roses, and light and dark pink daisies. If I had gotten the same number of flowers from a florist it would have run over $1000. But I only paid about $350. There were enough flowers for a large bouquet for me and a medium one for all 6 of my bridesmaids, corsages for the groom and 6 groomsmen, flowers for the parents, and enough to properly fill 15 medium sized vases at the reception. That’s a lot of flowers for your money!

I loved going to garden ridge because they had a very nice wedding section. This is also where I got many of my materials for decorations as well. They are very affordable and because its such a large home decorating store I could go to more than just the wedding section to find things. For instance they had gold chargers that were in the cookware section and the fancy, yet inexpensive, serving trays that I used for my candy station at the reception. It’s a really big store but make sure if you do most of the shopping outside of the major wedding months (May-Sep) because the wedding items fly off of the shelves at that time. And you may pick up discounts on the off-season. This store is a must if you’re doing it yourself or point your planner in this direction.

We did not have much money to spend on the DJ and this guy actually doubled as the dj and photographer. He did an EXCELLENT job. We met for a consultation and he showed us his work which was very impressive. I had specific desires for the kinds of music that would be played at the reception and he was happy to accommodate them. He was an excellent photographer also. He had top of the line equipment ( I know because I researched what the best was) and he offered great packages. We were also able to get as many copies of as many pictures as we chose at no extra charge. When I say this guy was awesome, I mean he was AWSOME. And the best part was he was very affordable. I got both of those services for the price I would normally pay for just the DJ. I would recommend him to anyone.

I love this church. It was beautiful red brick on the outside and very modern (I think built less than 10 years ago) and gorgeous on the inside. We were allowed to come anytime there was not a service and make plans. They had a committee that was willing to help me but I already had a planner. But they did allow me to store my decorations and such in a closet as I aquired them. I had the youth pastors (husband and wife) officiate. Though they were specific about the times we had there, they were not pushy. There was ample space for my and my wedding party to get dressed in private. They had people there to help my crew with the takedown and clean-up of the sanctuary after the ceremony. I would recommend this Church to anyone!

The cake was included in my reception package so the money/delivery/set-up was covered by my hotel but I still had to visit the bakery and choose my cake. I loved the fact that this was a long standing bakery that had chosen not to move its location because of the slight decline of the surrounding neighborhood. Though there were about two other couples (besides other customers) doing taste tests I felt they gave me sufficient attention and help in choosing my cake. The samples I tried were very tasty and they were willing to accommodate the colors and design of my wedding. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a wedding cake.
I found a dress that I loved on Alfred Angelo's website but went to House of Bride's website and found the same dress at a discounted price. I was ecstatic because I did not want my bridesmaids to have to pay much since most of them had to buy plane tickets and hotel rooms. The dresses were exactly the same as the ones on the designer's website but you had to make sure you gave them enough time to send the dress. I spoke on the phone with a consultant and she gave me a date by which all orders should be in. The website also had tons of other things like wedding gowns, shows, accessories etc. I would definitely use them again.
