The hotel room on our wedding night was amazing! I wanted to get just a regular room, but we got a suite room, and it was great. The view was amazing, the bed was huge, and it was great walking into a place so clean and nice. Even though we had a late check-out we checked out sooner so that we could eat breakfast with our friends. I wish we could have stayed later. Even our honeymoon hotel wasn’t as nice as this hotel. We were definitely paying to stay in a nice place!

We did get a travel agent rather than just trying to book the trip online by ourselves. This travel group was recommended by the people my mother works with, and I think our vacation was excellent. There is a couple of vacation specialist that you can talk to, depending on where you want to go. No hidden fees, and she made sure that we had every last luxury or activity that we wanted. By the time we arrived, we felt like we already knew the place, and we were able to have the best time.

We didn’t really know whether my husband should buy or rent a suit, but in the end he rented this nice looking tuxedo from this place. I thought the place was hilarious. They played techno music when we went for his fitting, and everyone had lots of energy. The tuxedo looked great. I liked the fact that it took a hour to have him fitted and then it was done.

We ordered our cards from an online site because I was not seeing what I wanted in the stores we visited. I also felt more confident in trusting this company, because I had read about them in the Knot and I had seen their ad in other bridal magazine. The cards were perfect and the customer service was excellent, they kept every promise they made, and the cards looked amazing. My recommendation is to just get it all in one swoop, RSVP cards, and invitation cards, and menus, and everything. My mother and I talked it over before, and we realized we would save so much money and stress just by having one order.

I used the hair stylist that I normally go to, because she knows my hair and knows that I am picky about how my hair looks. I set up a consultation, which wasn’t that expensive, and we went through some styles. I had a style in mind. On the day of the wedding she did my hair exactly like we practiced. My only mistake was wearing a t-shirt to the salon, because we had to cut it off so not to make a mess of the hairstyle. Ask for Laura.

I am not a huge fan of flowers, but my husband loves flowers. We went together, along with his sister-in-law, and we had the most beautiful bouquet made. Up until that time I thought my only option was roses, but Suzanne (the florist) had great ideas. She had nice energy, and she made great suggestions. My bouquet was beautiful, and my husband had a very nice matching boutonniere.

We love Chocolove bars, which is this really nice chocolate that has love poems inside the wrapper. The chocolate bars are really pretty, and we chose the ones that were made with 55% cocoa. My husband and I thought that it would be a really nice favor for the guests, and we ordered 9 cases of 12 chocolate bars. This was expensive, but we wrapped them in gold foil and I know that our guests loved bringing a bit of love home from the wedding with them.

Oh my god, I have never had a harder time with my husband! He flat out hated the lessons. I went ahead and paid for 8 lessons, but we only made it to six. We did not get a refund, but I didn’t expect a refund. My husband is not a good dancer, but I really believed that he improved in the lessons. I liked the instructor, he didn’t. I liked the studio, and he thought the studio was fine. It’s 50/50, but I think my husband was just being a baby.

This was a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony. We wanted the event to be small and outdoors, but also formal and classic looking. I hate it when people wear jeans to a wedding. We were able to book the place for the date we had in mind, which was incredible (mainly because there was a cancellation, and we were the first people to call following the cancellation. The staff is incredible, very professional, but I guess one thing to consider is that our whole party, including photographer, had to be 100. If you can’t have your ceremony here, I 100% recommend having your pictures taken here. We did see some other wedding groups having their pictures taken here.

Great cake. They did my brother-in-laws wedding cake, and we thought his cake was great. They had lots of flavors and styles to choose from. Wedding cakes are expensive! Because of the price, and because it’s basically just flower and butter, we went with a simple two tier option, with a tiny third tier that my husband and I have frozen and are saving for our 1 year wedding anniversary!
