I go tanning just because it adds some more color, and also because it is slimming, which I think is important when your plus-size. I have been going here for a year now, and I like the service. I think the tanning beds are really good, they are new, and the staff keeps the rooms really clean. The staff that works here is also very polite, and respectful, and they never charge in the room while your tanning.

My husband chose this place for our wedding night stay, and he wanted it to be a surprise. The room was gorgeous! The bed had eight pillows on it, it was so fancy, and our room even had a little living room with a couch and stuff. I am very particular on cleanliness and bathrooms, and the maids here do a good job at cleaning the bathroom. I didn’t take a bath here but my husband did and he said it was like heaven. Don’t send your dry cleaning out with them, though. My husband did and his tie still came back stained and the pants weren’t much better. Everything else here is 5 star.

I think it was a bit of a risk waiting until two months before the wedding before looking for a honeymoon location. My husband is a fan of the last minute vacation deals, and he promised me that he would look up packages. I think it’s fun to go on vacation, I don’t think it’s fun to plan vacations. He found our package deal to Jamaica three weeks before the wedding. It was a 5 star all inclusive resort package for one week and we paid $1100 per person, with flights.

My aunt had suggested that we make our own wedding centerpieces. At other weddings she had seen center pieces that used giant vases and rocks. I told her that she could be in charge. This is her favorite rental company and she would use them all the time before she retired as a party planner. She rented the glass vases and brought in some candles and made floating candle centerpieces. I really liked them, but I would never had time to set them up myself before the wedding. She did all that herself, which included the ordering, picking up the vases, getting candles, and setting them up before the ceremony.

My husband picked this place to go ring shopping because this is where his father bought his mother their 25th anniversary band. I liked this place as soon as I stepped inside. Everything about this place is fancy but inviting. We had an appointment and the jeweler took his time explaining to us prices and guarantees. My husband really liked the owner, I loved one ring in particular, and that’s why we bought the rings here.

We had the invitations made by the same person who made our save the date cards. I had research a bit on wedding invitations, and I liked how the store carried some of the brands I was familiar with and had chosen as potential wedding invitations. We also ended up getting our thank you cards here, just because we really like the quality of the cards and the service. I think their one draw back is that they don’t have a website yet, but I think people in town just know to go there.

There are salons that are more fancy, but I love my salon. I have been going here since I was sixteen, and I think everyone on their staff has worked with me at one time or another. They are really good with color here, which is one of the reasons why I stayed, and they did a great job with my high lights and low lights before the wedding. The style I wanted was really simple, but I loved that the highlights were done so perfectly.

I knew what my bouquet would look like before I knew what my dress would look like. I had seen this cascading bouquet in The Knot magazine, and I asked the florist, I think she as the niece of the owner, to make the exact same one. It’s a whole family that works here, which is nice to see. She did an amazing job at recreating the bouquet. Before I hired her I asked if she had made cascading bouquets before, and she said she did, which is why I hired her.

Our cake was going to be part of the focal point in terms of decoration and stuff, and my brother had used this baker for his wedding so we knew they were good. Jerome was funny and very helpful while listening to us explain what we wanted. My husband loves chocolate, so we got the richest chocolate cake they offered. We also went with white fondant icing with buttercream icing underneath. I also showed the baker a picture of what my bouquet was going to look like so she could make similar flowers in similar colors on the cake. My brother and his wife chose to go with blue fondant icing, but I think it’s weird to eat that much food coloring. We requested that the flowers on the cake be colorful, and then people could chose whether they wanted to eat colored icing or not.

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses online. I had seen in magazines ads for this website, and one woman I worked with ordered her own wedding dress online through this company. I was shocked with how beautiful the Mori Lee dresses were that I ordered. My aunt had suggested Mori Lee and certain style, and it was cheaper than anything I had seen in all the stores, and so much nicer. The bridesmaids dresses were almost nicer than my wedding dress!
