Fantastic catering and we got the upstairs private room with the open bar! Our bridal party absolutely loved the open bar and the family loved the comfortable, homey feeling of the private room. The menu for the private room was perfect for the rehearsal dinner and the small party. I would LOVE to go back and do another private party here!

Our wedding photographers, Shadowcatcher Photography, were impeccable and took some of the best photos I could ask for! Not only were the photos amazing, we made some amazing friends out of the deal! Skip and Heather are professional, but they are fun. Our photos are beautiful and memorable.

I had my hair and makeup done at Beauty Kliniek and I was thoroughly disappointed. The hair stylist spent over an hour on the first bridesmaid's hair and 45min on the second and third. By the time she got to my hair, she only had a half hour left to do mine. My hair looked great, but nothing like what we did in the trial updo session. I loved it, but ... still - only a half hour when the bridesmaids got all the pampering?? The makeup artist was over an hour late! My makeup looked alright, but I still think I looked like I had too much makeup on. I was guaranteed that the airbrush makeup would stay on and cover my tattoo on my shoulder throughout at least the ceremony - my tattoo is clearly visible before even the photo session was completed BEFORE the ceremony even began!

We went with the DJ Guy for our DJ and he was terrible. We submitted a "Do Not Play" list for the reception and the DJ played songs on the do not play list saying that he never go the list. When we asked him not to play songs by that artist, he just waited for us to go outside and played those songs. It was ridiculous.

First of all, I got married at the Hyatt Regency Islandia which was a beautiful location. We were married in the hotel courtyard on the wooden bridge in front of the waterfall and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting! The hotel wedding coordinators on staff were courteous and helpful and made sure that all the plans were taken care of on the day of the wedding - even if they were extremely difficult to get a hold of prior to the wedding. The food at the reception was fantastic and all the guests were impressed with the venue. Such a beautiful location right on the harbor with the sailboats and the sunset was perfect!

I went to Rosalind Bridal & Alterations for my gown alterations and they were amazing! They had my dress delivered on time to my suite at the Hyatt the day before the wedding and it was perfect. All alterations were actually done a few weeks prior to the wedding and they held on to the dress until they had to deliver it to the hotel.

We were her first “official” paying wedding clients, but she did a fantastic job organizing everything and taking the load off our shoulders. My husband was on deployment during the planning of everything, so she stood in for him during all the tastings and most other stressful things. I never could have done it without her and everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding all because of the hard work she put in!

All the guests loved the cakes! We got a deconstructed cake in 3 flavors, with sheet cakes for serving, as well. We ordered the strawberry crème, raspberry chocolate mousse, and pralines and cream, all covered in whipped cream (instead of the traditional butter cream or fondant) – all were fabulous and tasty! I tried keeping the top for my first anniversary, but forgot that whipped cream goes bad in the freezer, but all-in-all it was beautiful and exactly what I wanted.

This shop was great in helping the bridesmaids handle everything themselves. I was only there to help the bridesmaids pick out the dresses themselves, but after that, the bridesmaids were able to get the alterations and fittings done in-store and schedule everything with plenty of time to spare before the wedding.

Even though I’m sure this won’t help out with the San Diego reviews, Trudy’s Brides in San Jose, CA was amazingly helpful in assisting me to find my perfect dress. I walked in thinking I knew what I did NOT want and walked out with the PERFECT dress – that fell almost into those “I DO NOT WANT THIS” standards. They just knew what would fit my body and my simple, yet classic, taste.
