I stumbled upon Brides by Demetrios in Frisco, TX accidentally (it was on my way home and I thought it would be worth popping in). I admit that I had a bit of sticker shock when they handed me the catalog book (I had previously been shopping at David's Bridal), but I lucked out and the two dresses that I liked the best were much less expensive than a lot of their other dresses. I was particularly impressed with the quality of their dresses, and so I am so glad I splurged a bit. The dress I picked was perfect - simple and elegant. I love that I will be able to look back at my pictures and they won't be screaming at me "That was sooo 2009!" I really love the classic, timeless appeal.

Jessica was easy to communicate with before the wedding, and did a great job at our wedding - we love our photos! We were very appreciative that she was willing to work with our budget to come up with a package that suited what we wanted and what we could afford. We aren’t photogenic people so we asked her to take tons of photos so we’d have enough to choose from – we ended up getting back about 1500 photos and were very satisfied! She was wonderful about walking around the reception and casually/candidly taking photos. I love all our photos of guests laughing and having fun at our reception - it really captured the atmosphere at our wedding and I know I'll be looking back fondly at these memories.

These folks were very easy to work with. I contacted them because we wanted a canopy over our cake and I didn’t like what our main rental company (selected and handled by our caterer) had in stock. My mom had found their website and price list online and so I contacted them for just the one item. They were very easy to book (even on relatively short notice), and I found that such a relief amongst the stress of other planning. I would certainly recommend them given how easy it was to book them and how helpful their website was in providing pricing and photos.

Our caterer coordinated our rentals and I mostly dealt with them in the day prior to the wedding for set-up. In terms of arranging for rentals ahead of time, the only disappointment I had was that they couldn’t provide more information about the sound system. We were planning to play our music from a computer and they didn’t provide us key information earlier, such as that we would need to purchase a particular cable. (It worked out ok since a groomsman was able to buy one the day before the wedding.) I was also a little disappointed that although the main guy had met with my mom and caterer at the site to discuss the layout, they didn’t know where to put the various tables and chairs, so they ended up bringing all the rentals to the reception site and we ended up moving them around. But at the end of it, we had what we needed for a reasonable price.

Great tasting cake! My mom scoffed at the idea of a wedding cake because she said she's never liked cake that's been served at a wedding, and I'm pretty sure she enjoyed this cake. We had a traditional tiered cake and a fun groom's cake on the side. Both our cakes looked like what we expected from the sample photos we provided. It was easy to communicate with them even though we were planning long-distance. We also love that we can get a free cake on our anniversary. For whatever reason (maybe our caterer cut the slices too small or we didn't account for having two cakes), we had TONS leftover. My husband and I took a container of it with us back to Texas where we live, and my parents still had plenty leftover after that.

Andrea did a wonderful job! I was very impressed with both my hair and makeup - I thought I might be a difficult client because my skin isn't clear and perfect and my hair is pretty short. The makeup covered up all the redness and the coloring was a perfect match, and she did a wonderful up-do that I didn't know was possible with short hair. She was very easy to work with - I coordinated everything long-distance via email. She did a trial run on my sister (maid-of-honor) and I loved the results and knew she would do a fabulous job for me and my other bridesmaids. We did a preview the week before the wedding, and she was great at coming up with ideas and incorporating feedback. On the day of the wedding everything went very smoothly. We finished well in advance of when we needed to be ready and everyone looked great. Very few of my bridesmaids ever wear makeup or vary their hair styles, so it was fun to see everyone made-up, but they all still looked very much like themselves (just more formal).

Of all the vendors we worked with, Jen & Jen from Twisted Twig were my favorite. I planned our wedding long-distance and they were very easy to communicate with - any time I sent them an email it didn't take long to get a response and they were always very thorough in answering all my questions. They were flexible to work with my ideas and my budget. I'm not very good at expressing things dealing with creativity, so I provided a few sample ideas, requested hydrangeas with a general blue/green color scheme, and they did all the rest. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what my husband and I had in mind. Flowers weren't a high priority for us in the planning process, but even so, what these ladies came up with was so perfect that it just added an extra perk to my day. Just like I had picked my dress to express my personality, I feel like Twisted Twig made the perfect bouquet to express my personality. I can’t stress enough how much of a pleasure it was to work with them.
