We are making our honeymoon travel arrangements through Heger Travel, of Stickney. Barbara (the owner) has helped us tremendously! She answered our many questions and gave us great advice and information about our destination options.

So many other jewelers are going out of business (even big chains) ! It seemed like every shop I walked into would not do custom orders because of that. Not Rogers and Holland – they were very nice. I bought my groom’s wedding band from here – and it was on sale!

My wedding flowers will be created by Flowers by Gall in Brookfield. I chose this vendor because they are a quaint, specialty neighborhood florist! So far, I have received the customer service I had hoped from such a shop. Also, the prices at this florist were lower than others, and I know the staff is creative and helpful.

I worked with the David's Bridals in Schaumburg and Lombard. I had bad luck with staff at both locations. In Lombard – I had zero assistance as I bought my wedding dress. No help was offered as I tried to put on the dress/slip/etc. and it was hard to find employees when I really needed something. At Schaumburg – the staff was more helpful and easily found, but they gave me incorrect information several times (regarding sizing, styles, prices, availability).

I read many negative reviews about Bridesmart and it scared me. As a last alternative, I stopped in for bridesmaid dresses. The venue was dirty – and not very classy. However- the dress selection was amazing! The prices were cheaper than I had found elsewhere. The staff, attentive.

The Wedding Etc. out of Downers Grove is the best little shop around – a best kept secret! The owner and staff are extremely helpful! I got my jewelry (custom made), shoes, unity candle, and more from here! They have a lenient exchange policy, which is helpful. The items they carry in-store are very unique. Additionally, they have lots of product available through catalogs.

I purchased wedding favors from the Wedding Channel store. They have some good sales – the prices really drop if you can catch one. I ordered picture frame coasters. They looked cheap and could tear easily- so be aware of quality issues, especially when ordering online.

I have been getting cakes/pastries at Domino's Pastries since I was a baby! The confections from this French/Italian bakery always taste delicious. Awesome Italian sweet table! Great variety!

My Bridal Shower was held at the Park Place in Countryside. The food was great and the staff was extremely helpful! The event ended up being very reasonably priced, as well. I felt as if the staff at Park Place really went out of their way to make my day special!

I ordered my wedding invitations at The American Wedding, online. My invitations came out great – and the price was right. Must order in increments of 25 which I did not like. Order the right amount the first time because if you need to order an extra small quantity (25) later – it is extremely expensive!
