My bridesmaids and I all bought shoes from Nine West. I wanted us to have matching shoes at a reasonable price, because you do notice shoes in a wedding picture and you also don’t want to pay too much for shoes. The shoes we bought were cute, with kitten heels, and they were on sale for $49. The sales staff was nice about getting us the same shoes in our size, which took a while. We were in that store for over an hour, and they didn’t mind.

We stayed here on our wedding night. My only complaint about the hotel was that we late found out that my friend paid to have a bottle of champagne sent to the room, along with breakfast. She preordered, and spoke with the concierge and the restaurant manager. She was charged but we never received either the champagne or the breakfast. It was a bit disappointing because we only found out a month after the wedding, and it took a while before they would issue a refund.

We used my family travel agent to book the honeymoon. They are great, and they helped us to arrange a really great Caribbean holiday. We wanted to go on an African Safari, but Julie suggested that we may be exhausted from the wedding and want to be in a relaxing place. She was right. The resort she recommended for us had water skiing, and scuba gear to rent, and a really nice in room message service. It was really a great honeymoon.
My husband and I didn’t want to spend money on a limousine, but we did rent a nicer town car. Because it was through a regular renting company, we had the car all weekend and we were even able to decorate it a little for the wedding day. It was easy renting the car and cheap even with insurance and extra mileage costs. Talking on the phone with sales reps were easy, but it was even easier to just stop in their downtown office and talk face to face. Good customer service but they are really busy.

This is a great restaurant. My sister chose this restaurant because most people like Italian food. I also liked the fact that we were able to get tables together. They added an 18% gratuity tip on because of the size of our group, but it was great. And my tip is to have a dessert waiting for the group at home and not to bother getting desserts here. The desserts here are great but overpriced for what you get. The main courses and entrees are worth the money.

I like this florist because this was where my husband used to go to buy me flowers when we were dating. The store is right on Main street, and it is cute and they have a nice selection. We had really simple bouquets made for me and my bridesmaids. At the owners suggestion, we gave the 3-year old flower girl fake flowers because she would (and did) smash them up by 6pm.
We originally wanted to do custom-made Jones soda bottles for our guests, but that was outrageously expensive. Instead we settled for making out own bottles of water and mini chocolate bars. We bought the water bottles and mini-chocolate bars from Wal-mart, which is cheap and easy, and then printed and glued each label ourselves. We used photoshop and some other software to create the labels, and it was really easy. Having extra water bottles was good, too, because then people didn’t have to ask the bartender for water.

The DJ team that worked at our wedding was hilarious. Rick was cheesy, but not that cheesy. I also really liked that he wore a tuxedo after I told him that the event was going to be formal. Many of my friends do their own music for weddings, but I found that it was such a great deal to just hire one person to take care of bringing the equipment, working the set up, and then playing good music all night. The company that I worked for hired Rick De Lorenzo for our company’s Christmas party, he was that good.

We did get dance lessons! My husband was a cheerleader in college, and actually likes that sort of thing. We avoided taking lessons because we thought they would be to expensive. They are not expensive at all! The studio was great, and everyone who works there is very nice. Gus is particularly amazing. We got to learn the waltz and tango, and our first dance was the tango. We have been going for over a year now and we sign up for different classes when they appeal to us.

We had to have the ceremony at my family’s church, which wasn’t necessarily what I wanted, but it was what we did. My family is Polish and very traditional when it comes to certain things. The church is beautiful, and the staff was great in the weeks leading up to the wedding to meet the ushers, and show us the room where my bridesmaids and I could get ready prior to the ceremony. The wedding ceremony was very traditional, but the nice thing is that the inside of the church is beautiful enough that we didn’t need to bring in extra flower decorations.
