I love outlet stores, especially when everything is on sale and everything is soo pretty. I have been a huge fan of Nine West since I bought my first Nine West purse several years ago. We bought all our accessories from Nine West, such as shoes and purses and even some jewelry. It was perfect. Most bridal stores sold pretty shoes with diamonds, but they just killed my feet. Nine West styles range from being over the top to being really practical, but they all feel good. I loved my shoes! They were the most pretty shoes ever, they feel great, and I wear them for special occasions now and they don’t look like ‘bride shoes’. Also, the shoes are fairly decent in price. The store is awesome, but I think you can find the brand Nine West anywhere.

My husband and I had the most beautiful room on our wedding night. The best man and the bridesmaids went ahead of time to the room and put rose petals on the bed and put a bottle of champagne. I wanted to continue dancing and partying, but once I stepped into the room I was soo happy to be there! The room was pretty, the shower had good water pressure, they had dry cleaning service, and it was nice to just sit and look out the window with my husband. We were also allowed to have a late check out, which was great because I slept until 12. I was exhausted, and I was exhausted for a good two weeks following the wedding.

This was expensive, just because we had so many people that needed to be transported between hotels and houses, to the church, and then to the reception hall. What also made it expensive was that we had a catholic ceremony, and those ceremonies last at least an hour. We technically paid the drivers to sit with the limousine for an hour and a half while we got married, which was fine. I think it was fun to ride in the limousine, these were a great team of drivers, and overall it was a nice experience. I couldn’t imagine not arriving in a limousine!

My husband and my mother and his mother went to look at invitations together. This was again where my best friend got her invitations done, and I remember that the store had a good selection. I think they do have a good selection, and everyone agreed it was better to pay to have the cards made than to run around looking for a better deal. The cards were pretty, my husband still thinks they were too “froo froo”, but I don’t care. I loved the cards, and we were able to include lots of information on the cards for the guests, like where we were registering and asking them to select the meal they wanted on the RSVP card.

I am writing about my husband’s haircut, because I think it’s a really funny story. My husband brought his brother and the nephews to get their hair cut at a Great Clips the week before the wedding. The men told the stylist that they wanted the boys to have short hair cuts, and they pretty much gave them bowl cuts. Also, my brother-in-law got a strange haircut where the cut the hair a bit too short right above the ears. I think the lesson is that you should go to a hair salon where you have one stylist, and the stylist knows your name and won’t give your family members strange haircuts right before the wedding.

I wasn’t that crazy about the flowers that were on the tables, but I did love my bouquet. My bouquet was exactly what I wanted, but the flowers on the table looked wilted and sparse. I think they almost ran out of flowers, and maybe used flowers that were a few days old. But you couldn’t really tell unless you knew what the original picture of the centerpiece looked like, and unless you really stared at the flowers. People got right up close to my bouquet, which was beautiful and I got lots of compliments on it.

The DJ was fine. We hired the same DJs that my best friend had at her wedding, without even looking into other DJs in the area. The DJ actually spoke with my parents during the planning, and they just wanted to know what songs we wanted for the party. We didn’t get back to them until two weeks before the wedding with our list of songs, but they were really nice about it. They played great dinner music, and then the dance set was great, too. They let people use their mikes to make toasts, but they asked us first! I thought they were considereate, maybe a little shy, but really respectful. They didn’t even take a piece of cake even though they were right next to the cake table! They waited until we offered.

(I would give them 5 before we dropped out). We went to three lessons before dropping out. Two years before the wedding I got a gym membership and signed us up for lessons because I wanted us to rock the dance floor. We went to three lessons together, it was fun and the instructor was great. I even liked the location of the studio, which was on our way home from work. But we were really too busy. It’s not just an hour lesson, it takes time to get there, get back, get dressed, and lots of other things. I think we should take up lessons again, though, because I was so happy dancing the tango with my husband, even if we were super clumsy. The instructor made us feel like we really could get better.

Star rating: 3(because it wasn’t the cake I really wanted) My husband lets me have whatever I want, but he put his foot down and said that he would not spend $2 a slice for a piece of cake per guests, especially since he wasn’t a fan of cake and because the slices were so thin. We were at one caterer and the baker actually said that she could slice the pieces thinner, and my husband was insulted and we left that place. In the end we got a Wal-Mart wedding cake, which actually looked as cute as some other cakes we saw. My bridesmaids added some fresh flowers, and we paid $20 and got a different topper. It cost less than $150, everyone said that it was amazing, and we didn’t bother telling anyone that it was the Wal-Mart cake and not some fancy cake.

I had a momzilla mom during the planning of my wedding, which included her wanting to have the same dress style as the bridesmaids. Without getting into too many details, and acknowliding that my mother is in better shape than my 20 something year old friends, we decided on J Crew because they have simple dresses. I didn’t want my mom to be too flashy, and my bridesmaids didn’t want something that was too boring. Obvioisly my mom went out and got red shoes to go with her lemon color dress, but what can I say? The rest of them looked fine in their dresses.
