My Girl Dress was easy to order from and although we did have to do an exchange because we chose the wrong size, the exchange and refund were easy as well. Dresses for three girls came as advertised, were beautiful, and complemented my dress perfectly. I looked and looked online before buying through them. The best part is that the dresses came quicker than expected and were very reasonably priced. I can't wait to buy dresses for a daughter when I have one someday--they are certainly a great place to get dresses for all occasions.

My veil was exactly what I ordered, came quickly, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. If you are looking for a simple veil, and aren't planning to wear it very long, definitely go with them if they offer the style you're looking for (i can't imagine they wouldn't). I couldn't imagine spending too much money on something that i would only wear for a few hours, and no one would be examining closely. It wasn't a knock out gorgeous veil, but there was nothing wrong with it either. it served its purpose, and it didn't compete w/ my dress.

ZENA ROCKS!!! I have never felt more beautiful in my life, I received a zillion compliments, and I can't wait to have an excuse to have her do my makeup again. Zena is friendly, on time, professional, and willing to work with you to get the makeup just right. Also, out of the three people I did a trial with, Zena did the best job with false eyelashes--they looked the best, and they came off easily when i wanted them to. The other ones either came off early or didn't come off at the end of the day when i tried to take them off. Zena uses individual lashes, and I think they look more natural that way.

The day of my trial my skin was still recovering from a peel I'd done earlier, so although I was thrilled w/ my eyes, I was unsure about the face makeup, even though it wasn't Zena's fault my skin wasn't in its usual condition. After two trials with others, I decided to hire Zena, but asked if she would do another run through for the face makeup, which she was more than willing to do. The day we did another run through, she knew I had a bridal shower to go to, so she ended up doing my eyes that day too at no charge (no false lashes that day though).

On my wedding day, Zena came to the hotel, did my makeup, and gave me a touch up bag for the evening. My make up lasted all night and still looked fresh. I cannot recommend her enough! Also, I hope she doesn't mind me posting this--but Zena won an emmy for her work on Dancing with the Stars. That's how good she is!

Cakery Bakery was reasonably priced and the wedding cake tasted amazing. We had lemon cake w/ lemon mousse, red velvet w/ cream cheese filling, and white cake w/ bavarian cream & strawberries. The frosting was buttercream--light and fluffy but still sugary enough for a frosting-obsessed girl. The lemon was definitely the best flavor and surprisingly, the wedding cake itself tasted better than our cake tasting. I liked, but did not love, the design. Yes, we did try to direct them, and even drew them a picture which they followed faithfully, but this bakery is not in the business of taking your ideas and running with it. In our experience, its more about the cake than the design. So, if price and taste, and a pretty cake are important you should definitely go with them. If you are willing to pay more for knock-your socks off design (and amazing cake/flavors) I would go with Cake Divas which tastes and looks amazing--but would have been twice the cost. I did have a Cake Divas cake for a bridal shower and that was awesome. I'll try to post a pic of it eventually.

Darin at Capital Photo Booth has been professional, friendly, and prompt in all my dealings with him so far. He answered all my initial questions, walked me through all the details, and reassured me about everything. Our wedding is in November and I feel confident things will go smoothly--we're also keeping the photobooth a secret from everyone, including MIL, so we can't wait for our guests' reactions. I will update after the wedding on how it all went.

Update--12/22/08
THE PHOTOBOOTH WAS A BIG HIT!! Everything went off without a hitch, the photobooth attendant was on time, friendly, guests loved it. I have absolutely no complaints. We did have to create a photobooth sleeve that required a tiny bit of assembly, but it worked out beautifully. Our photo sleeve was done by Printefex (along w/ other stationary items) so check out my photos if you want to see it. Darin did offer the acrylic holders, but i didn't like them and didn't want to spend the money on them. Overall, I highly recommend.

I liked Rabbi Fisher, but I did not feel comfortable with him. He certainly was as wonderful, kind, and helpful as others have stated, and did convey he would do anything we wanted. However, he went off track w/ all these stories that had nothing to do with us or our wedding. I may have a patience problem, but the fiance and i are both very busy people, so we were unhappy about spending an hour and a half meeting with someone when it only needed to be about 45 minutes or so. I was worried he would do the same thing in our wedding. I guess I will never find out. Clearly not the right fit for us, but a very nice man.
