(Wedding Night Hotel Stay) The Jefferson is the historic hotel in Richmond and opened in 1895. It is well known and popular. The rooms are very beautiful, and we enjoyed our night there. It was the perfect place to unwind after the long day. We enjoyed room service for breakfast the next morning before heading off on the honeymoon.

James Limousine provided us with a limo from the church to the reception. I also used them to drive the bachelor party around Richmond. They are always prompt and professional and reasonably priced. They know all the spots around town. We have also used them on several other occasions over the years, and always get great service.

The Linden Row Inn is a popular historic hotel in downtown Richmond with an onsite restaurant. We had a private room and enjoyed a nice dinner with a choice of chicken or steak, pretty standard for a rehearsal dinner. The dinner was affordable and the food was tasty, but forgettable.

We had our reception in the Roosevelt Ballroom which had a 30 foot ceiling, a spacious balcony, and hardwood floors, which were great for dancing. It is located right downtown. When you have a wedding reception there, you have to use their in-house caterer, and everything was pricey. The food was delicious and the ballroom looked beautiful.

First let me say, Commonwealth is probably the most expensive place around town to get to photograph your wedding, but it was worth every dime. Their albums are beautiful, and they put a lot of passion into their work. They took every pose we could think of and we had a ton of pictures to choose from afterwards, and spent a few hours with them at their studio to design our albums. They are very thorough with their work, as well.

I would recommend a local jewelry store over a chain store any day for better quality. You get top notch service at Adolf’s. Their diamonds are beautiful. I bought my wife’s engagement ring here and then we both came back to by wedding rings here as well.
I would highly recommend our honeymoon location. A Sandals all-inclusive resort is definitely the way to go. The water is beautiful, the food is outstanding, and you can eat and drink all day and not have to carry money around. They had a buffet on the beach, a swim up bar in the pool, 5 different restaurants to choose from every night. We went horseback riding through the mountains as well. The vacation was pricey, but worth it to spend the extra money for your honeymoon.

Jerry was great and very knowledgeable about floral arrangements for weddings. My only criticism is we met with him right before he started his business, so we felt like he cut corners in a few areas to save money, but overall, we were satisfied. He was fun to work with and was very personable.

Our DJ, Colin, was very entertaining and professional, and you could tell he was experienced with DJ’ing weddings. He was right on time with everything – the intros, cake cutting, toast, bouquet toss, etc. They had all of the music that we asked them to play. They even dress how you ask them to – whether it be casual or in a tuxedo.

An old fashioned bakery that has been around since 1911, we simply took them a picture of the cake design we wanted and it was made to exact specifications. My wife loves their pound cake so it was a must for the wedding. They have 4 locations in the area and are very reasonably priced.
