Had our wedding at the Kohl about two months ago and were impressed by the venue and the staff the entire time. While emails were sometimes short I never felt like the staff was unprofessional or unhelpful. Especially as we got closer to the day of the event they went out of their way to help us with other vendors.

Of course on top of great staff you get the amazing venue itself, unlike a lot of other city venues it has its own parking, plenty of space, lots of different rooms and what we were really looking for a place for an outdoor ceremony (with a room in case it rained) and a beautiful indoor reception.

It is pricey, but I am glad that we went a little over budget on this part of the wedding, it was definitely worth it.

Used JSC for our wedding at the Kohl Mansion. When we first got a quote we were afraid because it was so much lower than the others. We even double checked with the Kohl to make sure it was OK.

I still can't believe how good the food was and what I great value it was.

We worked with Alicia who set up three separate tastings for us, including feeding a couple of our friends we brought with us. Rentals was easy with her and logistics were no problem.

Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food.

We would recommend them for any event.

Wish I could leave a good review for them, but they left us very disappointed.

Ordered custom dolls for our entire wedding party more than six weeks before the wedding and paid close to 2 grand. Everyone was so excited to see them.

We were assured that they would arrive in time. When the week of the wedding came and there were no dolls we called every day and were again assured by the owner than they would arrive in time for the wedding.

Unfortunately he was wrong.

Our dolls were still in China the morning of our wedding and arrived the week after. We didn't have them to give to the wedding party nor to take photos with.

Worse we never got an apology or even an acknowledgment of what happened. When I emailed the company about the situation, looking only for an apology, I never got a response.

The dolls may be a cute gimmick, but hope they treat their other customers better.
