I visited Jingles in Richmond, VA and had a great experience. The dresses were a little over my price range--they had only a few under $1000 and most were quite a bit more. I never felt pressured and the woman who helped me, Nancy, made sure I was comfortable and helped me iron out things I did and did not like. It was perfect for my first dress shop visit.

This church is beautiful and I'm happy to get married in the church I grew up in. The pastor there, Dana, is young and does a fantastic job with weddings. If you're having a very large wedding, this is not the place for you--I believe it only seats about 150. It gets 5 stars from me because my wedding will be smallish and I love the intimate feel of the church.
My photographer hasn't done my pictures yet, because my wedding is a year away. However, her website is beautiful and she has some of the most affordable prices in the Fort Worth area--her first package is $1500 and that includes 8 hours of coverage with herself and her husband, as well as 150 retouched images on a DVD. She's also very flexible and has many a la carte options. My interactions with her have been superb lately--I can already tell that she's very professional, yet fun. www.mcgowanimages.com.
So far, this place has been great. It's only $200 to book the room for the whole weekend, and it has warm, cream walls (bare), and hardwood floors. They have 14 round tables and can seat 220. At one end, they have a dance floor area that has special lights to illuminate it. There's also a screen that slides down from ceiling at the touch of a button, if you want to incorporate a slideshow into the cocktail hour. The room is perfect if you want a DIY wedding, because it can be transformed easily. There's not a crazy color palette already in place and you have to bring in all your own vendors. I like that, because it cuts down so much on cost.
