We were bummed that the hurricane forced us to change our honeymoon plans, but we ended up with an awesome subsitiute. The Villa Premiere is amazing! It’s a small resort…only 83 rooms. It’s also adults only, which is the main reason we booked it. It’s a great place to go an relax. The service there is amazing. The staff is so friendly and attentive, they went out of their way for us. We got an upgraded room and a bottle of champagne for being honeymooners, and they were always there for us when we needed anything. There is an all- inclusive option at the Villa Premiere, but we didn’t do all-inclusive. The hotel is downtown, only a 5-10 minute walk to tons of great restaurants on the Malecon, so we ecided to take advantage of those. I wouldn’t have regretted doing the all-inclusive, though. We ate at all three restaurants on the property (one for breakfast / lunch, two for dinner) and the food was consistently excellent. We had a few spa treatments and the spa was great. We LOVED the Villa Premiere. Such a perfect place for a relaxing, intimate honeymoon.

This was a GREAT choice for a RD!! We used their private room and took up the whole thing. The food was top notch and everyone loved it. They were easy to work with and the night ended up being perfect…everyone had a blast! It ended up being waaaaaaay (and I mean waaaaay) over what we had budgeted for RD, but what do I expect with a family of drinkers at a brewery? Everyone loved Karl Strauss…we had a blast there.

We were so lucky to be able to take pre-ceremony photos at the Hyatt! (Thanks to Shannon) The grounds are so beautiful and we got some really cool shots! We hardly even wandered around because there were so many cool areas right where we started (by the spa).

As a surprise, Young upgraded our king oceanview room to a king oceanview suite. As an additional surprise, Shannon left the reception early to decorate the suite for us. I was thrilled when I walked into our wedding night room and found this HUGE suite decorated with candles and rose petals everywhere, and all sorts of fun things from our wedding everywhere I looked. The room was awesome and the service is great when you’re staying in such an expensive room. My parents also stayed at the Hyatt all weekend and they loved it. (We just wish there was somewhere you could self park)

I rented the light for the gobo from Cal Stage and they outsourced my gobo order to a company they work with. I explained what I needed and they took care of everything. We had to pick it up, but my DJ was able to take care of setup and the light was a HUGE hit. I got so many comments on it. It seemed like a silly expense, initially, but the guests loved it, so it was worth it.

Shannon actually booked this vendor for us based on her experience with them. They were great! We had an Expedition limo stocked with Bud Light and champagne take the wedding party from the HB Hyatt to Park Prive and then a towncar take me and Young from Park Prive back to the Hyatt at the end of the night. The drivers were on time, the cars looked great, and everything ran smoothly with them. They were perfect!

Angie was great! She was easy to work with and the chair covers looked amazing! They totally completed the look in the room and looked better than I was expecting. Plus she was affordable. Great experience with Angie!

I got scared because it seems like everyone always has problems with their tuxes, no matter where they get them. We had none…I was so glad. The tuxes looked great and the guys looked great in them. No complaints!

We loved Greg! How can you not? He’s just so darn good at what he does. He put us both at ease before the ceremony and he did a fantastic job of running the show during the ceremony. The guests loved him and we loved him. What a great guy.

Holy schmoly, our cake looked awesome!!! I brought a picture to Great Dane and they made it look even better than I was hoping. I had just arrived at Park Prive when it was being dropped off and I started screaming and jumping up and down when I saw it. I was thrilled with how it looked. It was also very, very tasty. We had marble cake with chocolate mousse filling and chocolate cake with vanilla Bavarian crme filling and it was sooooo good. The only bummer is that I don’t think anyone really ate it. They were all so busy with the dang chocolate fountain. I had some (okay, a LOT), though, and I loved it.

The chocolate fountain was seriously the hit of my wedding. My guests went crazy over it! I was planning on providing my own dipping items, but in the end I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and paid the extra $$ to have them provide it. I’m so glad I did! They set everything up so beautifully and had an attendant (Krystal, one of the owners) there all night. The chocolate and the dipping items were so tasty and looked so beautiful in the room. Like I said, my guests loved it…at one point there was almost a line out the door for it! Plus, as a nice little treat, Krystal boxed up a sampling of all the dipping items and sent it with us back to the hotel. It was such a nice surprise. Working with Chocolate Sensations was totally easy and they had a great chocolate fountain with great food!
