They had everything I wanted, good prices, and were easy to work with. I used them for my linens, dance floor, and chairs and arch for the ceremony. I had to pay a little extra for setup (after paying extra for delivery), but it was worth it. They were on time (early, even) and everything looked great.
As soon as I contacted her, I liked her so much. She did my makeup trial on the day of my e-pics and it was great. She was so wonderful on the day of - my mom and all my girls loved her. She made us all look gorgeous and was so fun to talk to while we were getting ready.
Michelle did a really good job of listening to what I wanted and making it look good on me. My makeup lasted all day and looked great. I would totally recommend Michelle for makeup...she's great!

Initially I was having some communication issues with Props, but I will admit that those were probably more my fault than theirs. None of that mattered on the day of, anyway. Anthony was the perfect DJ for us. He was on time, played great music, and wasn’t cheesy at all. He was on the mic for a minimal amount of time, made the announcements he was supposed to make in an effective manner, and then got off the mic and played good music. The pre-ceremony music and the cocktail hour music were both CDs that I burned for him (I was paranoid - I’m very picky about music), but the dinner music was GREAT (he took a cue from my CDs) and the dance music was GREAT. Everyone was out dancing and having a good time. I was so, so pleased with the job he did for us, especially since DJ was my biggest concern and would really make or break the party I was trying to throw. Anthony was great. I would totally recommend him to someone looking for a non-cheesy, non-obtrusive DJ.

FEO was great. Laurel was easy to work with and had good ideas for my flowers. I don’t know if I would use them if I had a lot of flowers for my wedding, but I didn’t have a lot of floral, so FEO was perfect for my needs. I had persona flowers, an alter decoration, carnation pomanders for the aisle, one arrangement for the guestbook table, and that’s about it. They all came out very nice, no complaints at all. I loved my bouquet (although I noticed in the pics that the roses look red. They were actually a dark pink.) and thought all the flowers were beautiful. Plus, FEO has great prices. They are great for brides on a budget with flowers.
Holy cow. I LOVE Jenna and her husband Aaron. These two are such a delight to work with. They are so much fun and made taking our photos so much fun for everyone. I was so happy to have them at my wedding - they felt just like friends, which put everyone at ease. We took pictures at the HB Hyatt before the ceremony and they set up some of the coolest shots - I can’t wait to see how they turn out! They totally know their stuff and it is obvious. I have nothing but praise for Jenna and Aaron! I’ll probably have more to say w hen my pro pics are done.
Okay...pro pics are done and I'm blown away. They're amazing! I can't recommend Fina enough. They're awesome!!
I was referred to Janet by daNrr and I am SO glad I called her! Janet was such a treat to work with. I don’t think I’ve ever met a sweeter, more caring, thoutful lady in my life. It is so refreshing to work with someone so delightful. Not to mention the fact that she is good at what she does! My dress looked awesome. I had her remove the top ruffle, add bra cups, shorten the hemline, and figure out a bustle for my complicated, uneven dress, and she did a fabulous job. Plus she had the idea of turning the ruffle fabric in to a garter (which turned out great) and steamed by dress, crinoline and veil. On top of all that, her prices are VERY reasonable. (Honestly, I felt like I was ripping her off) I can’t recommend her enough. She is such a wonderful person and a good seamstress.

After reading up on dress shopping before hand, I was terrified that every bridal salon was full of awful employees dead set on ripping me off. Jinny’s was the opposite of my expectations! Cheri was my consultant and she was awesome! She picked out a dress for me that I would have NEVER tried on and I loved it 10x more than the ones I went there to try. I went back later for that dress and ended up finding the Maggi CapriMarie, which is what I bought. She was friendly and helpful and even gave me a discount on the dress because they were having a Maggie trunk show the next weekend - I didn’t even know about the trunk show and would have never known, but she just offered it us. The dress came in right when they said it would and they didn’t pressure me at all to get my alterations done there. On top of all that, they had the best price for my dress that I saw anywhere. Jinny’s was a totally great experience on every level.

My wedding would have been a DISASTER without Shannon.
Okay, maybe not a disaster, but there would have been a lot of problems and miscommunications, but I had none. Shannon is the reason my wedding was so perfect.
Let me start off by saying that I haven’t really talked about my coordinator much here on the boards because Shannon is a good friend of mine. I take the recommendations made on these boards seriously, so I didn’t want to recommend you girls to her until I knew she would do a good job and be totally professional. Well, she did more than a good job - she did an unbelievable job! So I have absolutely no hesitation about recommending her to anyone looking for any sort of coordination services (day of or full service).
I really had only been interested in day of services, but in the end, Shannon did SO much more. Young and I felt like we had a full service planner running the show for us. She took over my dealings with the vendors, she created the most detailed timeline known to man for the vendors, and a more general one for the wedding party, she kept track of my outstanding balances, plus, the hardest thing for her, I’m sure - she totally kept me on task the last month before the wedding. I’m totally an idea person, but I’m not really organized when it comes to bringing the ideas to life. Shannon sent me weekly to do lists, called me almost daily to check on the status of my projects, offered to help with things I wasn’t very excited about doing - she even cancelled my hairstylist for me when I decided I was going to do my own hair. She was a lifesaver the last month because a) I’m a procrastinator and b) I HATE making phone calls. She made sure everything was taken care of, plus thought of details that never would have crossed my mind. Not only that, she was able to arrange things through her connections that I would have never been able to do on my own (like taking photos at the Hyatt before the ceremony when I wasn’t getting married there). She worked all kinds of miracles for me.
She totally ran the show like a pro during the rehearsal. She had everyone listening to her every word and it was flawless. The day of the wedding - I can’t even tell you. She made sure I wasn’t worried about a single thing. She took care of every detail I could possibly think of. My dad said it seemed like the wedding was effortless, like it all just fell into place, but that those are the events that you know the most work went into. That’s what Shannon did - she did all the work to make the day seem effortless.
I think the best testament to the job she did was that almost every single vendor I had gave me a compliment on her. They all told me how organized and professional she was compared to other coordinators they have worked with and that I was very lucky to have her. That speaks volumes. Not only that, but even the wedding party and the guests commented on how great she was!
I’m not kidding when I say that things would not have been so perfect without Shannon. She was the BEST money we spent on the wedding. Yah, I came up with the ideas, but she’s the one that made everything gel. If anyone is even considering coordination services, you should at least talk to Shannon. Tell her Jessica sent you.

I knew Park Prive was the place for me the second I saw it, and boy was I right. The whole venue was just totally US. (And everyone said so all night) Our guests went crazy for it. I had guests getting business cards from the catering manager during my reception so they could contact her later about their own events. The setup of the garden and the rooms was perfect for my wedding and I got SO many compliments from guests about the modern look, and how glad they were to see something other than the typical hotel ballroom (which is exactly what I was hoping for). The venue was a total hit, and the best part is, modern means minimalist, so there is no decoration you have to do to make the place shine. It looks great just the way it is.
Not only was the venue a hit with the guests, but so was the food. Patina food is AWESOME! We got the chicken, but it was so far from typical wedding chicken, so it wasn’t boring for the guests at all. I made sure to eat LOTS of it…it was so yummy! As we made our rounds from table to table during the reception, almost everyone made a point to tell us how much they loved the food. From the way they were talking, it sounded like Patina could have cooked up a spare tire from the back of someone’s car, and people still would have raved about it. In addition to the chicken, we had 4 passed appetizers during cocktail hour, which were also a hit.
The staff at Park Prive was unbelievable! The service was beyond excellent. They were so great to work with during my planning, and the day of they had so many people working and taking care of us and our guests. Every time I turned around, someone was there asking me if I needed anything. All my guests were taken care of all night. It was such a great experience at a great place.
