We got our save the dates from Vista Print and they were great. The quality is exactly what it appears to be on the site when you order them, the prices are pretty much unbeatable. I wish the shipping had been a bit quicker, but aside from that, if you are on a budget, Vista Print is a great way to go.

Jacquelene Clark helped to put my mind at ease when planning the honeymoon. She did an amazing job planning the flight, hotel and car rental to Miami from DC. She gave me plenty of options and got back to me in a timely fashion whenever I had questions. I had to change my car at the last minute, just a couple days before the wedding, and she was able to move everything around and get me the voucher in time. I had no worries with her helping me and am so glad I used a travel agent in planning the honeymoon.
Lee has a great DJ company and was booked to do our wedding but had to send another DJ from the same company in his place, William Sanchez, who did an amazing job. The company was so much fun to work with. Lee has a website that lets you choose the songs you want played at the wedding and maybe more importantly, the songs you don’t want played. You can send the link to your friends and get their help in choosing great music as well. You can also fill out the names in your wedding party, who is giving the toasts, the reception info, the priests, and other people that will be involved at the reception. The music was great and DanceLikeMagic really helped to throw a fantastic reception for us.

La Tasca was the perfect venue for our small (60 people) reception. They handled our every need and desire. We met with Shana, the manager, months beforehand to go over the menu and layout and she was available at any time to handle whatever came up. La Tasca was already decorated so we didn’t have to worry about any of that and it was already beautiful. The food was delicious and the staff was professional and courteous. They let us put up photos of us everywhere and even designed a little VIP section of champagne and fruit when we arrived and before we were introduced. It was amazing reception with no worried whatsoever.
Rick’s photos were amazing. His photojournalistic style is very unique and he captured everything that was important and fun. I’m a photographer myself so having the right wedding photographer meant a lot to me. Rick and I met before the wedding to talk about different shots and go over logistics and he nailed so many photos. He also made a slideshow for me of several of the photographs and set it to music. He is a patient and hard working photographer and was able to get so many great photos because of his style, experience and almost invisibility! I don’t even remember seeing him taking most of the shots. I just loved the pictures and now have them forever to look back on!

In trying to keep costs low I used Whole Foods for my flowers. My dad put together the bouquets with the flowers we bought from Whole Foods - bright yellow roses and greens for the bride bouquet and small calla lilies for the bridesmaids’ bouquets. We bought them the day of the wedding and they were just gorgeous. Whole Foods put together the three boutonnieres also for the groom and groomsmen but unfortunately we put them in the refrigerator and forgot them before the wedding! They looked great though. I’d get the flowers from Whole Foods if I had to do it all over again. They were fresh and bright and colorful, just perfect for what I wanted.
Anna is a private hair stylist who did a beautiful job on my hair and also on my bridesmaids’ hair for my wedding. She did a test style on me a few weeks before the wedding and we took photos to replicate it at the wedding. She came to the bed & breakfast where we were all getting ready near the church and did the hair styles. She made me feel like a princess and everyone complimented on how great my hair looked. Anna was very professional and easy going and I’d recommend her services to anyone. She was great!

Nohelia was a true professional and not only did my makeup but also that of my bridesmaids. She did a test run at my house with one of my bridesmaids and myself a couple weeks before the wedding and tried out a few different faces on us to see what looked best and what we both liked. I don’t wear a lot of makeup so was a little wary of having it done professionally but she did it so it looked natural yet highlighted my eyes and went perfectly with my dress and flowers. And both of my bridesmaids also looked incredibly beautiful!

I loved Costco invitations! They were very reasonable and classic. I was able to design them on the website and didn’t have to sign up to be a Costco member, just a member of the website. I was able to order the invitations, envelopes and thank-you notes all at the same place and with the same beautiful design. They were by far the most reasonable place to purchase invitations and came quickly after I ordered them. I was also able to send the link with the design, lettering and text to my friends and family who were helping me plan the wedding so they could edit the invitations.

Picking out the dress at David’s Bridal was a lot of fun and the assistants were very helpful. They let me try on as many dresses as I wanted and take photos (something most other salons did not allow). They had a large variety of styles and sizes and they also had ivory dresses, not just white ones. I went with an ivory dress actually. They also had veils and bras to try on with the dress which was very helpful. I bought both there as well. They helped me to arrange my alterations appointment and were just overall very helpful.
I bought my dress at David’s Bridal and had discounts for the bridesmaids dresses there so my two bridesmaids ended up getting their dresses at David’s. I wish they had more of a style selection but the colors were great. I wanted my bridesmaids to get something they may wear again instead of just another dress for the wedding. Unfortunately they really didn’t have the most gorgeous dresses available and my bridesmaids will never wear the dress again probably. The staff was very helpful though and the dresses came in when they said they would. They were moderately priced although I wish they were a little cheaper since the dress was only for a one-time occasion.
The alterations lady at David’s Bridal was very rude to me and refused to cut out the bottom of the dress as I wanted (I wanted the puffy stuff gone and she refused). She said she would do it after I paid, which I did. I came back weeks later and she had not cut out the puffy stuff because she said it would make the dress fall flat as I had a pickup dress style. I ended up cutting it out at the reception because it was itchy and hot. Other than that experience, they did a great job fitting the dress exactly to my body and I felt great wearing it.
