I can't say enough about Cara from Custom Studios Photography. Her personality was so low-key, it made me comfortable with her following us around-it felt like she was a friend. She had a lot of ideas that turned out very well when we got the pictures. She was prompt in our meetings and in delivering everything afterward. I was very adamant about the photography and she did everything to the letter. Mostly I didn't want a lot of prop shots, I wanted people. And I have great shots of everyone!

Our flowers were from In Bloom in Newport Beach. I loved Missy. She really outdid herself. Our flowers were simple, but all white. She created a lot of depth with the textures and the greenery. Everything was exactly like I wanted. Even the way they wired the hair flowers worked very well.

We got our cake from Rockwell's Bakery in Orange. It was marble with white chip filling and buttercream frosting. It looked like fondant, though, the way they did it. It was simple white with white tri-dots and a thick brown grosgrain ribbon around the base of each stacked layer. Everyone said that, and we still think to this day, our cake was the best cake we've ever had and it was gorgeous.

We had both our Wedding Ceremony and Reception were aboard the yacht, The Wild Goose, which is owned by Hornblower Cruises and Events. My first coordinator was named Leah Manley. She was friendly and helpful...when I could get her. She left the company midway through my planning and the lead coordinator, Leah Bernstein, took over. She was amazing. She followed through on everything, and, since I live across country, she was good at handling things remotely and troubleshooting logistics. One good example was explaining over the phone how I wanted the seating arranged- she totally got it. The only downfall is, as a manager, she wasn't there for the sailing. We had a girl named London or Sydney or something. She was delightful, only we had experienced a very tragic family emergency that day and we really needed some one a little more dynamic, I think.
Hornblower's food was so good, I can't even begin to explain. We did an option of chicken marsala or filet mignon. All 85 came out perfectly. Every aspect of the food was delicious; the salad and dressing (maple walnut vinaigrette,) the steamed spring vegetables. Their staff on board was courteous and quick.
