The Lindley-Scott House exceeded my expectations come the day of the wedding. Perhaps that is because, after we booked it, and excluding a couple of calls I made to Diane just to clarify the contract and schedule, I let it be what it was. When we asked if we could do a tasting, she said we could call and try to come in before someone's wedding, but it was obvious they didn't "normally" do tastings, so I read some reviews online that said the food was great and let it go. IT WAS GREAT! We were so happy with it. The cake from the bakery they use was fantastic! I can't wait until 10/25/09 so we can break out that top tier from the freezer! Once decorated with the tables and linens and flowers and guests...the carriage house looks so classy and warm. We were told they only served beer and wine, which was fine with us, come wedding day people were drinking hard alcohol so I don't know what happened there and we just got back from our honeymoon so I haven't called to ask yet, but we didn't care...our guests were having so much fun and kept complimenting on how beautiful the place was and how good the food was. Diane is a little eccentric, but very nice and willing to answer any questions...you just have to make sure you don't talk to fast :) The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable for the wedding industry. You don't find many places with a beautiful atmosphere and great food for under $45 a plate. I do have to say, though as far as I know the service was great, the day of coordinator wasn't much help to me (I think he's really there just to coordinate their own staff and the food service) and the uniform for the female staff is a little funky...kind of maid-ish. Other than that, I recommend the place. I'll try to post pics!
Oscar is great! Hire him! Photography was one of the first things we looked for and my husband, being an artist himself, was very picky so I left it up to him. He showed me Oscar's site (the underwater shots sold us) and we set up an appointment. Once you meet Oscar and he shows you his work in person, it's apparent how passionate he is about photography. He wants to get the best and most interesting shots. He was a lot of fun and very comfortable to work with.

Kim and her staff were great to work with. I would recommend them to anyone. I first heard of The Enchanted Florist on this site and read great reviews, so when our first appointment/consultation went well, we booked them. I'm so glad we did. I saw a beautiful sample about a month before the wedding and had a couple changes. They incorporated those changes and the wedding day flowers looked great! We decided not to decorate the church because they were really strict about what you could have in the church anyway, but we had 18 tables (7 tall arrangements and 11 short arrangements), sweetheart table, flowers for the cake, 4 bridesmaids arrangements and mine, 2 flower girl balls, 6 corsages and 8 pins for the guys.
