This DJ service has been wonderful to work with. They keep structure to the reception while also making it fun. They are also wonderful to work with in choosing a playlist. The input we received from them we wonderful, not to mention the fact that we got a great deal on a great DJ! I would recommend this DJ service to anybody!

We got my engagement ring here and it was a horrible experience. I love my ring, but the pressure to buy was horrible. They asked my fiance if he wanted to see if he'd "qualify" for a line of credit with them, and he said yes...next thing you know, he's signed up for a credit card. He basically wanted to just see if he could get the card, not sign up for it right there (yeah, we were niave.) They followed that nice tidbit up by pressuring him to buy right then, or else they were sure the ring would be gone. He ended up being so worried about it that he went ahead and did it...while I was with him to look at it. They completely ruined the element of surprise there--we really had just gone in to look at it and get more information. We ended up leaving with the ring purchased, but also with a bad taste in our mouths. Now, every time I go in to get my ring cleaned, they descend on me, trying to get me to buy more and more. Little do they know, we won't be buying anything else from them. I love my ring, but it was truly a bad experience.

Dunhill has been great to work with. They have the vest color I wanted (dark teal) and, because of the number of tuxes we have, my fiance gets his tux free. Their selection is wonderful, with many tux styles to choose from (I honestly didn't know there were that many variations on a tux!) It has been a great experience working with them.

Alexander and his wife are both very talented and personable photographers. Alexander has a great eye for unusual shots, as well as your traditional ones. When we were negotiating our contract, he was very willing to work with us and switch things in and out of our package to accommodate our desires. He was our big splurge beyond our reception site, and I think he will be well worth it.

We are using the Croatian Center in Merrillville, IN for our reception. It is owned by Dimitri's Catering. They have been nothing but helpful to us. They offer many options for centerpieces (free,) will set up the centerpieces for free, and there is only one ballroom, so only one event will be held on our date. They also have a beautiful gazebo and garden out back for weddings (that is where we are having ours.) Every time I speak with them, I am more and more impressed with the service they provide. The price is very reasonable (29.50 p/p for a family-style meal with 3 meats, vegetable, potato, dessert, salad, coffee, and rolls...this 29.50 also includes a decent bar package beyond just beer and wine. They offer hors d'ouvres and upgrades to the package. It's a fabulous deal!) They do require a security guard, but most places around here do that. I just can't say enough good things about this place--and the food is fantastic!

I went with this bridal shop for my girls' dresses and--though the dresses haven't come in yet--they have been so very helpful. They even gave me a 10% discount because I had 5 bridesmaids ordering, even though I didn't buy my dress from them. The shop is small and may be seen as "dirty," but I thought it was quaint and the people there were all very nice. A great experience!

I went here to try on wedding dresses. The girl helping me was split between two other brides and, though she was as helpful as she could have been, there were definitely times when I was left on my own for a while. My mom was with me and eventually took matters into her own hands to go get dresses and veils and such. It wasn't a horrible experience, and they had some nice dresses, but I wasn't overly impressed.

I went here to look for my wedding dress. We went in and despite being the only ones in the store, nobody offered us any help. We stayed for a little bit, and even had the salesgirl walk by us several times without a word. We eventually left without trying anything on because we couldn't get into a dressing room since no one was there to help us.

This place has been fabulous to work with. They listened and took my suggestions to heart and, after months of looking, found me The Dress. On top of that, they gave me a great deal on it. The whole experience was very positive.
