Maya at sposa seating is super nice & was very understaning when I changed my head count a few times. She's super responsive to your emails & can pretty much always be contacted via phone. Some of her payment arrangements are slightly annoying but I don't live far from her so it wasn't that bad.

During the planning process, Jim was great to work with. Super easy to get a hold of & he really embraced some our strange music selections. He kept the dance floor moving all night long which was very important to us. We were supposed to have 2 DJ's. His assistant was apparently sick the day of the wedding & he couldn't find a replacement. Now Jim did a great job on his own, but the contract said 2 dj's and it's a matter of principle. The only other thing that was a negative is that I had one and only 1 "must play special dedication" song to my dad. I specified that it be played a little later in the evening when everyone's had a few cocktails and it was never played. After the fact I do think it would have ruined the mood of dancing because the song was Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire, but it's my dad's favorite song & it's kind of a joke amongst friends & family because he does this stupidly ridiculious dance to it. At the end of the night, he did come up & apologize for missing this which I thought was respectful. Overall I would recommend his services for sure!

Katie at courtyard is awesome to work with. She is so nice & really loves what she does. She had such great ideas and worked within my budget. My flowers were georgous, nothing wilted or anything. The one and only issue I had was that we didn't get our toss bouquet. We didn't do a bouquet toss anyways but was planning on using the toss bouquet to give out at the anniversary dance to the couple that was married the longest. One of my BM's just donated her bouquet to the couple so it all turned out ok. I would for sure recommend Katie, she's awesome!

My experience stems from the davids bridal in Madison Heights, MI. Of course 2 dresses came in the wrong sizes & had to be re-ordered. I didn't expect things to go smoothly with this place but it's the only place I found a dress that I truely loved for my girls so we just sucked it up.

We booked entertainment express simply because they gave us the best deal for the coach bus. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on a limo. The limo arrived on time, the driver was super nice & we were delivered from A to B & then to C. Isn't that what you need a limo for?? Yeah the limo wasn't top notch piece of equipment, but it served the purpose & we were happy. The driver Ron Sr. was great (we requested the same driver that drove us for the b-party), even when we wanted to stop at the party store on the way from the ceremony to the hall for some more beer.

For my bachelorette party, my matron of honor also booked booked EE for our limo. We had an 8 passenger limo and it was great. Our driver was super friendly and we didn't have any snags at all.

We are did a triple flavor box with 6 different flavors (3 different flavors in 1/2 of the boxes & 1/2 in the other). Ted was super easy to work with & very accomodating with all of my requests and changes to my order because we just couldn't make up our minds. They even sent us 2 sets of samples because they changed up some flavors. Our truffles came delivered on my doorstep on Wednesday before the wedding just as promised, all boxed up & labelled. The boxes were super insulated with ice packs to keep them from melting. We had a few extras so of course I had to eat some and ohhh they were supper yummy. I had a few people at the wedding ask if there were extra's because they ate theirs at the wedding. I would highly recommend this company.

We had a hard time finding a church where we could bring our own reverend. I really wanted the church setting, but don't belong to a church. We found Oak Arbor and fell in love with it the first time we saw it. It's a little far away from stuff (4 miles north of rochester) but it was perfect. I love all the wood work all over the place. Mandy at the church was great to work with & was very helpful anytime I had a question. The one thing that I did find annoying is that is when it came to rehersal time, Mandy wasn't there. It was some other person who was going to be coordinating everything the day of that I had never met. That was quite a suprise, but turned out ok. It all turned out great & I'm very pleased with them.

I hired Jamie & Shannon from this salon for hair & makeup.

I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE EVER FOR ANYTHING!!!! They were hired for hair & makeup for myself and the entire bridal party (5girls). I had been working with Jamie & Shannon. I was to call them friday night or saturday morning to tell them the room# at the hotel we were in and to my shock when I called, I got their voicemail. I waited a bit & called again and again and kept getting their voicemail. This was now like 9:30am (they were supposed to be there at 8am - we needed to be done by noon). One of my bridesmaid & I were both calling them like crazy (like 10 times each) as well as calling the salon where they work, nothing!!! The salon felt super bad and said they were texting them, calling their boyfriends, calling their cells & home #'s and not getting a hold of them either. The salon didn't have anyone else to send out (which is in no way their fault). I had hired Jamie & Shannon as a "on the side" type of job, otherwise I'm sure the salon would have stepped right in. I got an email from Jamie at the salon a few days later stating that she was sorry & that she had "food poisioning". She said tried to call but got my voicemail and that Shannon did all she could do. Jamie tried calling me 1 time & I don't know what Shannon did to "do what she could". I never got a call from Shannon & the 1 phone call from Jamie was at 1:34pm, no voicemail was left! I am so angry at these girls that I don't even have words to express it. I'm sorry, I've had food poisioning and yes it sucks, but a phone call should have been made. Someone somehow should have called, not just not show up. My girls didn't bring makeup with them because they knew the makeup people were coming so a last minute dash to target to get some hairspray, bobbie pins, makeup, etc... was LOTS of fun on my wedding day. Even if she was super sick, someone should have called me or answered the phone when I called. Again I have no words to express how mad I am at their unprofessionalism. We all ended up doing our own makeup and my matron of honor did hair as she's an hairstylist herself (but was looking forward to a nice morning of being pampered).

I mostly worked with Linda at Club Venetian. She is a really nice lady, but is horrible about returning calls. They were pretty flexible about things. The food was amazing!! We had the entire hall to ourselves which was very important to us. Just a few things that I found to be somewhat annoying, I was supposed to be approached by the "coordinator of the night" when I arrived & that never happened so anytime we needed something I would have to run around & figure out who was running the show. Also, little but annoying - my drink of choice is captain morgan & diet squirt. I asked if I could just bring in my own 2 liter to have at the bar, I was told no but was promised that they would get one for me. When I went up to get a cocktail, none of the bartenders knew anything about it. These things are for sure very minor and overall, I would for sure recommend this hall. They have a very neutral decor that you can make your very own or keep as is. The foyer is very pretty. My DOC decorated it amazingly & I was blown away when the doors opened up when we got there.

We used Jennifer from Amanda Williams photography. Jenn is amazing. She was already at the church when we arrived and started right away taking photos. She was very helpful all day long with any little things and for the most part I couldn't even tell she was there. She stayed around until around 10:30 and I can't even imagine how many photos she took. We got a few teasers and love them, we can't wait to get the rest of our photos. We also had an engagement session w/Jenn & those photos also were awesome.
