All of our wedding favors came from Hilo Hattie. This is a fun store! Everyone loved the Lucky Tiki Shot Glass Favors.

I did not want to have to drive to Icicles so I opted for the salon at the Sheraton. She did a good job. The style I was going for was tricky, looking back I wish I would have accepted the fact that it was not going to turn out the way I had hoped and gone with something else. Instead on the day of the wedding I was so numb to everything I just thought it was good enough. One of my BM knew that it was not as soft as the look I was after (PIB) and 2 minutes before we left she took it all out and did it again. It turned out better but with the veil rubbing on it got a bit messed up and I had these loose "wispies" all over. Another one of those things you just have to let go because there is no changing it.

Shawn and Rachel They live up to their reputation. They came early and fit in like they were part of the group. I have only seen a few of the pictures but they look fantastic.

He was the most commented part of the wedding. I think he got more compliments then I did (: Other brides raved about him and I understand why. He will make your ceremony! He is the Kahu of a church in Kamuale his ceremony was so special. He and his wife drove an hour to meet us a few days before the wedding he had a beer and went through the ceremony with us, it was great.

They are such helpful professionals. Wendy was so helpful with referrals and planning. If you are having a wedding on the Big Island I would not even consider using anyone else!

Some of our guests wanted to stay in condos and as always VRBO was a great resource!

We had the 52 person bus and a limo from Jacks. They were supposed to pick up the first group at 2:30. They were there on time but they waited until the bus was full, at 3:15 they were still there. In the mean time A slack key guitar player, appetizers, and drinks waited at the palace. There was a lack of communication between Jacks office and the drivers. If you use them make sure you clarify your expectations and ask them to please make sure the drivers have a clear understanding of what needs to happen. This was one of those details that I did not even think about, I figured out a timeline and just thought it was going to come together. The ceremony wound up starting a half an hour late (the groom and his entourage were late too) which made our reception a half an hour shorter. This was disappointing but you have to let these things go, because they happen no matter how hard you plan for it not to.

I had a truly bizarre experience. The Sheraton was supposed to handle the flowers...they contract the work out to Victoria. Victoria had a falling out with the Hotel and the day before the wedding my stepmom is out buying the leis from Emmas flowers and bumps into Victoria complete coincidence ( we have never met Victoria before). Victoria in poor taste pulls my step mom into the drama she is having with the Sheraton and says Stepmom needs to pay Victoria directly and cut the Sheraton out or we will not have our Wedding Flowers. Well my Stepmom did just that and the Sheraton took the high road and just let it go. The flowers did arrive but the whole ordeal between the two feuding vendors caused me some grief and the flowers unfortunately were not quite the way I had planned them with Annie. The biggest mistake was my Bouquet...it was supposed to have mauve/pink colored roses and she had Dark Red roses. As you can see from my wedding colors and my Wedding dress with pink/mauve roses painted on it...Red Did not go..AT ALL....but oh well you know something will go wrong and this was not as bad as it could have been.

Very affordable with lots of History and Old Hawaiiana Charm. Having our ceremony there meant a lot to me.

Annie Sundreth was outstanding! She was as excited about planning the wedding as I was. She embraced my ideas enhanced them and when I got burnt out on details she tended to them. I could not have asked for a better coordinator! The Food was delicious, it was so good even I made time to eat! There was a little drama with the flowers but not a big deal. The Hotel was awesome they put up with loud parties in our suite and the pool and bar were perfect meeting spots for all of our friends who also stayed there. I highly recommend them.
