I managed to hit up two simultaneous sales at this store so I bought suits for my husband, the groomsmen and ushers for about $85 each. The suits were good quality for that price and the alterations were extremely well priced. I could have bought a higher quality suit, but I was trying to keep prices low. The service was also very good every time we went into the store.

The only complaint I would have is that their shirt and tie selection was very limited and overpriced. However, I solved this by buying shirts and ties elsewhere.

Harry was amazing to work with. He met with us before the wedding and talked about what songs we wanted and didn't want. He had a great personalitly and kept saying how it was my day and he would do everything he could to make it run smooth. He gave great suggestions without being pushy. On the day of the ceremony he was extremely professional yet absolutely hilarious. His great personality really showed in his communication with the guests. Everyone commented on how fun he made our reception. He pleased everyone from my crazy college friends to my uptight grandparents.

I rented a dance floor from Gotcha Covered and they were great. With one call I ordered the floor and they took care of everything else. They brought it to the site, set it up and picked it up after the event. They were also significantly cheaper than anyone else I called.

My parents have always been fans of the Turf Tavern as a restaurant, so I chose them as the caterer for my wedding. They were wonderful! They were flexible with menu choices, the food was amazing and the price was really reasonable. The day of the wedding they had everything running extremely smoothly. The food was served quickly by very skilled waiters. But the best part was their coordinater who communicated with the DJ to organize everything. The two of them made sure everything ran smoothly and on time without leaving anything for me to worry about.

My bridesmaids, flower girl, mother, mother-in-law and myself all had our hair done at Runi's. I went in the previous week for a practice updo and I liked the practice, but the day of the wedding I hated my hairstyle. Two of my bridesmaid's hairstyles turned out great and both my mother's and mother-in-law's turned out well. However, the flower girl was only given a simple French braid that started coming undone almost immediately. It was partially the flower girl's fault because she was fidgety, but they still charged us $40 for an updo that had to be redone.

The Altamont Manor was an absolutely gorgeous setting for our reception. It includes large gardens, a wrap around porch and tons of windows to give it a very warm feeling. The owner was very easy to work with. I called him with a ton of questions which he patiently answered and he was never pushy. On the day of the ceremony everything was in perfect condition: the gardens were gorgeous, the lawn was freshly manicured and everything was spotless. I would highly recommend this location.

I had a somewhat casual wedding so I checked out a lot of different locations for bridesmaids dresses. I found one I absolutely loved at Dress Barn that was on sale for $40. It did require alterations for several of the girls, but when you consider what they saved on buying it, The dress was a bargain. I hadn't really thought about shopping here since it always seemed like somewhere my grandmother would shop, but they had a good selection of reasonably priced, semi-formal dresses.

There are a lot of great things about David's Bridal. My favorite is how inexpensive they are. They also had a huge selection and they had multiple locations nationwide, so I could try my dress on for family in Michigan before buying it in New York.

However, there are also several negatives. You can't try dresses on without an appointment. And often their salespeople are helping several customers at a time so you're left waiting for help. (This depends on the salesperson. Some that I had were great, others had no customer service skill). Also, to keep their dresses cheap they sell you the one right off the rack which may need cleaning, etc.

I would recommend this store if you are trying to keep your cost down. However, try to go on a weekday to get better customer service.

They had very limited hours for alterations and it took several weeks to complete initial alterations. However, at my second fitting I found that I wanted part of the bodice of my dress taken out, which was somewhat complicated due to the beading on my dress, and they were able to complete it in 2 days. Overall, the alterations done turned out beautifully and the price was reasonable compared to other stores.

We had a fairly conservative group for my party and our hostess was extremely considerate of that yet still made the party fun. A lot of the atmosphere is based on what you make of it, such as who is invited, what food is served, decorations, etc. The cost is also what you make of it. The products are reasonably priced and you can choose what, if anything, you purchase.
