I got a wedding planning book that I never used because of this website. I used their checklist and found it very helpful. I also got a lot of great ideas from here. A great resource!
I registered with Target and wish I hadn't. I didn't really find anything that I really liked here, they were just better for my guests on a budget I guess. Plus, I had a lot of problems with editing my registry online. Somehow, I ended up with two registries and every time I'd login, it would take me to an empty one. It was a big headache to sort that out. They were also the biggest pain when it came it returns.
The items I received from Macy's were all excellent. I got my fine and casual china from here, along with bath towels and stemware. I love it all and can't wait to complete my sets. I didn't have any problems with returns either. Some people complained about the registry printout being hard to read though.

We bought cardstock here that I used to make my ceremony programs that I designed myself. They turned out super cute and we saved a lot of money doing them this way!

This place totally annoyed me! I picked up their information and several other bridal stores at the Bridal Extravaganza. My mom and I went shopping all over Houston and found the dress I liked. It was a Mori Lee dress which was carried at Anna's, Ventura's, & Bridal Depot. Anna's had it the least expensive. I asked both Ventura's and Bridal Depot if they'd match Anna's price. The guy at Bridal Depot said he would, and would also let me use the coupon that I picked up at the Bridal Extravaganza. We said we'd think about it since I wanted to look around some more. About a month later, I decided I wanted that Moro Lee dress. We went back to Bridal Depot to order it and the guy did not remember our conversation. He agreed to give the price at Anna's, but wouldn't give the extra coupon discount. Instead, he said he'd give a discount on a veil or tiara. Once my dress came in, we ordered the veil. It was supposed to come in within two weeks. I waited over three weeks to hear from Bridal Depot until my mom finally called to see the status of the order. He said the veil had been discontinued. Couldn't he have let us know?? So, I went back to pick a different one out, of course not really finding one I liked as much. So I placed another order, and they told me it will be in in a week. Of course a week goes by and I don't hear from them. So, I give them a call and they tell me that they received the wrong veil! The overnighted the correct veil and finally called me when it came in!
My other problem here was with the alteration person they use. She told me my dress would be ready on Saturday morning, the weekend before my wedding. She has to take in the top, hem it, put the bustle in, repair the clasp at the top that was broken, and steam it. I went to pick it up, and the bustle was still not done and it was super wrinkled. I tried it on and it fit perfect though. She told me to come back Wednesday, and it was finally complete. I looked it over, but did not try it back on until I was getting ready on my wedding day. This is the time that I found out the clasp had not been fixed and my zipper kept coming undone! So, I had to be sewn into my dress on my wedding day! Made for some interesting pictures of us getting ready!

I'm glad I registered here, I've gotten so many great things, and have had no problems with returns. This is also the only registry I didn't have a problem setting up, my others both ended up with duplicates and locked me out of making edits. THis one did not do that.

The tuxes all looked very nice. A lot better than Al's that they used at my SIL's wedding. They lost 2 of the tuxes though. All the guys went to go pick them up 2 hours before the rehearsal, thinking that'd give plenty of time. Since they lost 2 of the tuxes, they had to track them down and found them at other stores. The whole ordeal cause all the guys to miss the rehearsal entirely, except for one who picked it up that morning!
We were forced to use them because they were part of a package deal with my venue. We found them to be overpriced. My mother and I didn't really like the consultant either, but the cake turned out beautifully and tasted great!

I chose this DJ service because they were the least expensive I found. Big mistake! I specifically wrote on their paperwork not to take requests, and provided them with a long list of songs to play that my fiance, mom, & myself came up with. He ended up taking several requests of songs I didn't want to hear. Also, he couldn't get the timing right for the ceremony. First, it took a long time for him to start the music for our singers, and then once we were married, we were just standing up there awkwardly waiting until the recessional music started until we walked back down the aisle. It seems like an eternity up there when everyone's is staring at you! Finally, we quit waiting and just went. The music didn't start until we were halfway down the aisle! I recommend paying the extra money for someone you know is going to be good. The music is important.

I went here because they were the most reasonably priced on bridesmaids dresses I could find. The best way to use them is to check out their website and find what dresses you want to look at. Then, go to the store and have them pull them to show you. I liked that we didn't have to set up an appointment like some other stores. They only have sample sizes, so my girls tried on the dresses, I chose the one I liked and then chose what color I wanted it in based off the manufacturer's color chart. 2 of my bridesmaids out of the 4 had to have the dress altered. So, the salesman was pretty good at finding the correct size for them. The dresses turned out beautifully though, everyone loved them!
