I HAVE NOT YET BOOKED A FLORIST FOR MY WEDDING. However, I do want to say that Eddie has been extremely helpful with the consultation process and worked with me a lot on my ideas. He made a mock up of a bridesmaid bouquet for our second consultation, and when I saw that the colors were slightly off he offered to make me a sample centerpiece mock up and had it delivered to my house!! FOR FREE!! WITHOUT HAVING EVEN BOOKED YET! I mean its really unbelievably generous of him, and I just wanted to let brides know how nice he is to work with and that he does try hard to please you. I am having a hard time choosing who to book because I have met many awesome and talented florists and am waiting to see another mock up before deciding. But any bride who works with Eddie is surely lucky.

Julie took some engagement pictures for us and they turned out fabulous!! She's really friendly and cool so its easy to feel comfortable with her. She was great about showing my fiance how to pose (he was clueless!!) and good at capturing the natural moments between us. She also spends a lot of time retouching the photos. From one session she takes about 2 hours worth of photos and goes through them, selects the best (about 100), fully retouches them and gives the hi-res images to you on CD. Its awesome!

She doesn't do weddings because she has a baby, but she does offer engagements, trash the dress, and boudoir sessions as well as a lot of baby and maternity sessions. I hope I get a chance to shoot with her again before my wedding is through!

this is where i bought my dress, although it has not come in yet. this is a family operated store and everyone has been so helpful and honest with me. especially chantelle, who let me know that a dress i was considering ordering would not look right once shortened to my height. beyond the awesome selection, and good service, the best thing about pebbles is the prices. Everything here is HUNDREDS less than other salons. i actually found my pronovias dress at lili, but pebbles was able to quote me on the dress for $425 cheaper!! needless to say i ordered it at pebbles. will update when the dress comes in and the alterations are done.

My mom suggested we look at David's Bridal for my wedding dress and I moaned a little. "Davids Bridal? Soooo tacky!!" But she said it can't hurt to look, "you never know". I decided to listen. You know what? It wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined. The Burbank store is HUGE and new and nice. The sales associates were very helpful and had me flip through their catalog and tag the dresses I liked. This was a very easy way to weed out the "uber tackies" as I like to call them and actually find some pretty stylish dresses. Then my consultant, Laura, brought the dresses I flagged out, helped me get into them and clipped them for me. She didn't rush me, was not pushy, and even let me take pictures. She also was very knowledgeable about the dresses. In the end I found two I liked, and though neither is "the one" I am now convinced you can find a decent dress there, and the prices, for the most part, are pretty reasonable!

I will say though, that after trying on dresses at La Soie in Torrance, I can totally see how David's Bridal dresses are not quite of "top quality" when it comes to fabrics. lace and bead work, and construction/cut. Plus on of my favorite dresses at Davids was $800, and I found a much much better dress at La Soie for $1050. Personally, I'd shell out the $250 extra for a top quality designer dress... But to each her own.

I have not bought from here!

I went in on a whim because I saw wedding dresses in the window and a sign that said sale. This is a very high end shop-- dresses start at $3200 and average $6000. Everything is sold off the rack and they customize everything with in house alterations. They prefer brides come in a month or two before the wedding not a year in advance. Oh well, I was there a year in advance.

April assisted me in trying on the 3 dresses from their sales rack that were closest to my size (as I could never afford anything that was not on sale!!) The dresses were gorgeous and are not typical wedding dresses. In fact you could wear them again to a super formal event as a cream/white evening gown. But throw on a veil and voila-- wedding dress! April really knew exactly what would be flattering and how to accessorize the dresses. She also insisted that the dress must "speak to you." She was pretty awesome.

Ultimately, even though I found a STUNNING dress, it was still and the top of my budget and that was without alterations. It also had a very small train, and I kinda had my heart set on a dress with a long stunning train. I decided to pass on the dress but this was a very hard decision. I would recommend this place to ladies with a big budget, who have high end/fashion forward tastes, and want something off-beat or a bit untraditional. Its a very chic cool store and I wish I was richer!!

Oh the worst thing is no pictures allowed. If I was allowed to take a picture i might have bought the dress. But I felt it was too expensive a purchase to not be able to see how it photographs or see how it looks on me more objectively....

I went to Renee Strauss because growing up in LA I have driven by it 1,000 times and always said "when I get married, I'll shop there!" Ugh, no. I didn't want to spend over $1500 and they barely had anything in that range. It was the Watters line, which kinda looked and felt like the Davids Bridal dresses I tried on but for a lot more money. My consultant Artemesia was nice about helping me, and getting a sense of my style, and not being too pushy, it really wasnt her fault the selection was so small.

What mainly bothered me was that the store smelled like cigarrette smoke and old stale bbq! Gross!!! It really made me just wanna hurry up and get out of there. The store also feels very dated (decor) which shouldn't be a deterring factor, but somehow it was. The dressing rooms were small, no pedestal to stand on (which makes it hard for a short bride like me to get a sense of the bottom of the dress) and didn't have a mirror so i could see the back of the dress. I dunno... if you are on a budget I wouldnt waste your time.

I didn't buy my dress here, but I had a great experience trying on dresses here, with Angela. I didn't want to spend over $1500 on a dress and Angela showed me soooo many beauties in that range (some even for under $1000). I'm a picky girl with Fred Segal tastes, so I was really amazed by the quality of dresses in my price range!! The dresses looked very fancy-- lace and beading was exquisite, and the cuts very flattering. Angela had a good sense also of what would look good and what wouldn't, but let me try whatever I wanted and as many dresses as I wanted. I really think I found "the one"!

Also the store itself is clean, elegant and large. The dressing rooms are huge, clean, and swank. It is the kind of place where you'd think the dresses would be overpriced-- but as I mentioned above the prices are excellent. Worth the drive to Torrance!!!

there isn't too much to add to these previous glowing reviews except that my fiance and i ordered my ring here and it turned out even better than i expected!!! we picked out the design from their showcase and asked them to add milligrain edging , and for four weeks i tossed and turned wondering if the edging would turn out okay on the ring. it turned out perfect and i think really took the ring to the next level! a beautiful and delicate detail.

they also let us watch as they set the diamond (which is a family heirloom) and even explained the process to us-- kind of a lesson in diamond mounting 101! basically we are thrilled and will be back for our wedding bands!! don't hesitate to go there, or customize one their designs to your tastes-- it will turn out better than you imagined!
