I used them for my wedding linens. They were extremely prompt with emails and helpful with answering all my questions. They were running a 10% off special when I booked them, so their prices were better than other companies I was looking at. The linens were delivered by UPS two days before my wedding which really alleviated stress. On the wedding day the linens were BEAUTIFUL. I ordered the Satin linens and they were a very nice quality and added a lot of wow factor to my event. I give them 4 stars out of 5 because after the wedding there were some problems. They did not include a duffle bag or packing slip w/ instructions on how to ship the linens back to them. They don't do this sort of thing (I know other companies like Cloth Connection do). It is the renter's responsibility to arrange to ship these back within one day which is kind of a huge (not to mention extremely expensive) responsibility to have to deal with right after the wedding. Luckily, my amazing bridesmaid agreed to drive the linens down to them so that we didn't have to pay for the shipping. We left for our honeymoon right after the wedding, otherwise I suppose we could have done this ourselves. I do recommended EDS Linens, but realize if you don't pay the $125 for them to deliver & pick up from your venue, you will either have to pay at least that much to ship the linens back OR you will have to drive the linens back to Irwindale the next day to get them returned on time.

Melissa of Isabella Ink designed all my wedding stationary, including my invitation suite (invite card, rsvp postcard, wraparound labels), programs, escort cards, favor tags and "reserved for" ceremony seating signs. Melissa was so easy to work with and really listened to what I wanted. She made about 5 mock designs for me to look at and then I chose one which we tweaked, and then turned into the theme for all my stationary. I love what she came up with and love that no one else had wedding stationary like mine! I love how unique it was and that it wasn't "cookie cutter." Melissa's eye for layouts and graphic design is truly fantastic and I got so many compliments on all my stationary. On top of her talent she is professional, and so fun & easy to work with. I recommend Melissa to anyone looking for a graphic designer!

The Sunset Restaurant is pretty much the best place to get married. EVER. Why? Well you can't beat the location as its right on a beautiful beach in Malibu. The food is absolutely delicious-- yes, even for weddings. The staff is so amazingly organized, helpful, friendly & professional. And the banquet room is so beautiful (and it was renovated in 2009). And for all they offer, it really is affordable and all inclusive (event space, linens, china, silverware, catering, alcohol, valet, etc).

I had my wedding there a few weeks ago and it was a dream come true. Like I said, it is such a beautiful location and they set up the ceremony so that you get married right on the beach! But don't worry-- they put platforms on the sand so you never have to walk in the sand if you don't want to! High heel loving brides rejoice! Also, the platforms made it so my older, handicapped family members could still walk to their ceremony seats (they wouldn't have been able to walk directly on sand). The ocean was maybe 15 feet away from us which was a perfect backdrop for our ceremony. Dolphins even jumped during our ceremony-- which was just magical! Kelly Ann, the events coordinator there, is SO sweet and helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a beautiful wedding and had so many helpful suggestions for us throughout the planning process. I love her & you will too! The food at our wedding was excellent!! I'm a foodie-nerdy and really the food was top notch! All our guests have complimented us on it-- and here's the best part: we had ordered the lowest priced food package. But it was still really good-- not your typical "wedding food" at all. When I think about the venue, and all it offered us, I can't believe how little we actually spent on it. Really, I think our wedding could have easily cost twice what it did-- but the good news is it didn't! The Sunset Restaurant really is affordable for all they offer you (location, customer service, excellent food & beverage, etc).It is THE PERFECT spot for intimate, beach side weddings!! Anyone who gets married here is truly lucky!

I highly recommend John & Haydee of After Dark Entertainment! When I first got my quote from them on their DJ & lighting services I was a bit skeptical. They were almost half of what the other big companies out there were charging, and I was worried this might be a deal that was too good to be true. But when I met John & Haydee, I could see how genuine, passionate, and hard working they were. I completely trusted them with my wedding, and I can happily tell you that they delivered! They were so communicative through out the whole planning process and so helpful. John even went above and beyond to check the electrical system out at our venue because the building was kind of old. When he found out I would need an extra generator, he threw in one for free! On the day of the wedding they did a fantastic job with everything!! The lighting in the room was STUNNING and more than I could have hoped for. The uplights were beautiful and the pinspots really emphasized our linens & florals. They also did the sound & music for our ceremony and MC'd/DJ'd our reception. Again, they did a fabulous job. John was also the perfect MC for our style-- just vocal enough to move the party from one event/announcement to the next, without being cheesy or stealing the show. They played a great mix of music and really got the crowd going. I cannot recommend After Dark enough! They were really excellent for both DJ-ing & lighting, and at the prices they charge I consider them a steal!! Seriously, run don't walk!

I don't think I would have had my perfect, dream wedding without Paola! After the venue, she was the first vendor I hired. I just knew she had the passion, knowledge and sense of style I was looking for in a wedding planner. I booked the "Semi-Full Coordination" package, making her more than just my DOC-- she was my wedding planner! And plan she did! Paola helped me find practically all of my vendors (and her references were spot on as all my vendors were FAB), she also helped me figure out & plan all my details. She helped me come up with a full design concept for the wedding. She made sure I was on track with my DIY projects, and that those projects were really contributing something special to my event. She helped me with my budget, and told me what areas I could skimp on, and what areas were worth the extra money to get the wedding of my dreams! There was a point when we were emailing back and forth a few times a week, I think, and I know we talked pretty regularly the whole planning process. She always responded enthusiastically & promptly to my emails, and she always had answers for me. She was really amazing the whole year of planning, and I do believe that I could not have gotten through it without her!

On the Day Of, Paola was just as organized and on top of things as I thought she would be. She decorated our event so beautifully & made sure all my careful details were displayed in the most eye-catching and thoughtful ways. She made sure all the personal flowers got to the right people. She made sure our day ran smoothly, and on schedule. There were no bumps that I knew of, no problems that were brought to my attention. It was as stress free as a wedding could be and I'm sure Paola had a lot to do with that.

Thank you Paola for all your hard work. I will miss all our emails and planning!

To the future brides-- don't think twice about hiring Paola! She is the best and it is a decision you won't regret!

I highly recommend A Sweet Design!!! I had been on the search for the "perfect cupcakes" for my wedding. What was required of these perfect cupcakes? Well they had to be tasty, beautifully & uniquely displayed, and affordable. Sounds easy, but it was a lot harder than one would think. I went to so many cupcakeries and was ready to forfeit the dream...BUT then I met Joeleen! Joeleen's cupcakes were tasty, and affordable, and better yet she was able to replicate a cupcake tower/display that I had been ogling but could not afford. On our wedding day, the cupcake display turned out even better than I had imagined. It was so beautiful & modern looking! And even better was the cupcakes themselves were so delicious. All our guests enjoyed them and complimented us on what a cute and tasty idea they were. Thanks Joeleen for making my cupcake dreams come true!!!

My DOC recommended Blushing Bridal to me and I'm so thankful she did! Annie did my make up on my wedding day, and Helena did my hair. They both did a beautiful job-- I felt gorgeous and everyone told me how stunning I looked! They arrived right on time, got everyone done right on schedule (the BMs & moms got their hair/make up done too), and were a total blast to hang out with while we were getting ready. They also made my bridesmaids and our moms look amazing! Annie & Helena are extremely talented & professional, but also just so fun & calming-- which I think is important too since you are spending a good chunk of your wedding day w/ your hair & make up team. And...my make up looked great all night to boot!! Thanks Annie & Helena!

Kate was amazing to work with. I didn't know a lot about flowers when I started planning but I did know what I liked and had a general feel for that I wanted my floral design to reflect. Kate completely understood what I wanted and was able to translate my scattered thoughts and ideas into an absolutely, positively, drop dead gorgeous floral scheme. I was blown away with everything on my wedding day-- the bouquets, centerpieces, ceremony decor, and even the cupcake table! She really delivered everything we wanted and then some! Kate not only figured out my exact sense of style and delivered it, but she also used such high quality, premium flowers. I was definitely on a budget and yet my florals all looked like high-end, extremely expensive pieces. I highly recommend Kate because not only is her work beautiful & high quality, but she also was also great during the planning process, making sure we stayed within our desired budget, and that we achieved our vision for the day! Thanks Kate!!!

Myra is so amazing! I ordered a custom hair flower from her for my July 09 wedding. My flower turned out EXACTLY how i envisioned, well actually it turned out better than i had envisioned it! it was perfect-- exactly how i wanted! i don't know how she does it, i merely explained a bunch of things i liked (and wasn't sure if they'd all work together) but Myra made it work beautifully. Once my piece was done (which took about 3 months), I purchased it, and only three days later it was at my door! Amazing! It looks even better in person, and is the perfect size and matches my dress perfectly. Myra is an artist and anyone is lucky to get one of her pieces.

If you are lucky enough to get your order in next time her shop opens, make sure to provide links to previous pieces she created and explain what you liked/ didn't like. Also, it may take her a week or more to respond to you. She is a VERY busy woman as she runs a one-woman business, but she WILL respond. If you are patient you will be rewarded with a gorgeous wedding accessory. I know I will treasure mine forever!

Julie took some engagement pictures for us and they turned out fabulous!! She's really friendly and cool so its easy to feel comfortable with her. She was great about showing my fiance how to pose (he was clueless!!) and good at capturing the natural moments between us. She also spends a lot of time retouching the photos. From one session she takes about 2 hours worth of photos and goes through them, selects the best (about 100), fully retouches them and gives the hi-res images to you on CD. Its awesome!

She doesn't do weddings because she has a baby, but she does offer engagements, trash the dress, and boudoir sessions as well as a lot of baby and maternity sessions. I hope I get a chance to shoot with her again before my wedding is through!
