Although I could not afford John at my wedding he did my cousins and I would like to review him. His style is impeccable and really has a great vision. The coffeetable able he created for my cousin was the best work I have seen in a while!
His journalistic style is very modern and what a lot of brides are looking for these days.
Great show, there were TONS of vendors to choose from and I came away with a lot of cool books and swag!! I booked 2 Vendors the day of the show as well.
Limo company was GREAT, even though I had some rude Groomsmen who said some offensive things my driver was very understanding. He had everyright to turn around but talked it out with me and was great.
He told me not to worry about it and refused my tip 4 times before I forced it in his pocket!
Ordered my save the date cards and was very pleased.
No misprints or smudges, they turned out just as I asked. Delivery was ahead of schedule as well.
Pump Salon in Kenwood did an AWESOME job on my hair and my girls. It was very cost effective and I was pleased with the time and effort they took on my hair.
FogHorn Music Productions was AWFUL!!! The owner Dave pretty much ruined my wedding when 45 minutes into the reception he tells me he is about to walk about because an 11 year old told him the music sucked!!! I found out later that week he had approached my parents prior to the reception starting , apparently he wanted to let them know he was paid in full but accepted gratuity!!!
Dave does what he wants and is not there for the Bride; I specifically told him I did not want the chicken dance, hokey pokey etc and he approached me mid reception asking when he should play them! I felt like everytime I turned around he was right there next to me with another question or issue.
My reception was AWESOME!!! I absolutley loved the people at the Marriot in Mason. Tessie, the sales and catering manager went above and beyond the call of duty for me. The staff are GREAT and even my guests noticed how customer service oriented the Marriot is.
I felt that Tessie really understood my budget and helped me stick to what we had planned to spend; never did she try to upsell me to spend more and did not make me feel bad when I needed to cut back.
Mindy at Two Little Buds is FANTASTIC! My bouquet was to die for and I could not have been more pleased; I really regret not preserving my bouquet.
Mindy has a passion for what she does and generally cares enough to help you pick the right flowers for your style and perosnality. She at no point tried to force me into any decision even though at times I was very indecisive.

Skeffingtons was just ok, we ordered shoes for my son and come to find out they gave us the wrong size on the day of the wedding so we had to go out and buy new shoes. All in all I liked the tuxes we picked but feel like they are such a BIG company there is no personal attention when you pick out tuxes.
My initial cost was a $75 (non refundable) deposit after that it was 45 to get hair done and then 150 total for Bridal application. I initially was going to have all my girls hair done but decided to go to a salon and just had my make-up done and my 3 year old daughters hair done. My daughters hair looked very nice; I asked Michelle to do something with an updo with curls and it was just what I wanted.
My make-up was OK, I can't say I was overly impressed. I am very picky about what goes on my face and I should have brought my own foundation as I my face itched most of the day. My eye make-up was a little too dark for my likings but since I scheduled her to come so late there was not time to fix it. In some of my pictures my make-up looks good and in others I looked washed out. I don't think the lighting in my room was adequate but I would expect a professional to be able to make it work. I also did not get the fake eyelashes I was promised but never said anything as I forgot until she left.
As far as professionalism she did show up on time but I was worried a bit leading up to the big day. Initially I had my trial run scheduled the weekend before and then she cancelled because she had to work. I had set that time aside to do the trial run and did not have other availability to re-schedule. Michelle did offer to try and find someone to work for her but I felt like I would be putting her out so I did not schedule a trial run, yet I was still charged full price for my makeup .
On a scale from 1-10 I would give Michelle a 7.
