I had an amazing experience with Marcella's. I bought my dress here at a trunk show as well as my veil from a trunk show. I did take my bridesmaids here to shop for dresses but ultimately didn't buy BM dresses from them.

My dress shopping experience here was awesome. My saleswoman, Leah, was always accommodating and helpful. I never felt like she was pushy and she offered an honest opinion (i.e. she would tell me if she didn't think a dress looked good on me). When it came to the dress I ultimately bought, I had found it at a trunk show but really wanted to show it to my my mother was coming from out of town before committing to it.....so they held the dress just for me and my mom, and then fedex'd it to the next trunk show location. Furthermore, my saleswoman came in on her day off just to show it to me and my mom.

The dress came in VERY early (several months) and they held onto the dress the whole time.

My only minor complaint is that, ultimately, I didn't like the bustle I got from my alterations there (note that I was not required to use their seamstress and could have taken it elsewhere). The dress was too long and I was practically stepping on it down the aisle; that said, I should have said something during alterations but didn't--my bad!

The location is in downtown and the store itself is comfortable and welcoming. They have a really fabulous selection of designer gowns.

Although I didn't end up buying my dress from here ultimately, I just wanted to write a review that I did have a really really great experience here. The saleswoman I had was never pushy and she was always accommodating and pleasant. I went back about 2-3 times and enjoyed each time. Each bride gets their own, quite large, dressing room with mirror. I love the privacy. The "runway" is also fabulous and makes for a fun experience. I highly recommend this dress shop!

I used Joey Hong as my photographer for my wedding day and engagement photos, as long as their business manager at the time, Courtney Lynn. Our photos were totally amazing and Joey was such a pleasure to work with. He got some fabulous photos and I've been really pleased with their professionalism. Their photography is award-winning and the proof is in their portfolio. They were one of my favorite vendors!

I got married in the Prestwick Terrace tent and then had my reception in the St. Andrews Ballroom. Overall, I had a really great experience. The view from here is absolutely breathtaking---the sunset was gorgeous and all of my guests fell in love with the beauty of the landscape from here. The catered food was also really incredible--considering the size of the wedding, it was great to see how well cooked their food was (we had chilean sea bass and tenderloin of beef as our main entrees). Because I was renting out the St. Andrews Ballroom, I got private access to the "Bridal Suite" which was great--it was a locked room where my bridesmaids were able to leave their personal belongings and where we could prepare before the ceremony. I would absolutely get married here again. The only minor issues I had for your consideration:
1) On the day of, the on-site coordinator couldn't find some of the stuff I had left at the wedding site the day of -- which I was told to bring *the day before*. These included a number of items I was using during the ceremony. In the end, it was found hidden behind a couch but I was incredibly frustrated that these items had gone missing after being at the wedding site for less than a day. Newcastle DID make up for it somewhat -- like I had to end up using all of their golf pencils since that's what they lost...and they didn't charge me for it.

2) This place is sometimes considered a "wedding factory" because they try to hold so many weddings at the same time. For the most part, I would say that I barely noticed other weddings while I was there. That said, even though we had the bridal suite, we had to share the bathroom next to it with another bride and her bridesmaids--and they got a bit snippy about not having any room except that bathroom to get ready in.

As I said, overall, really great experience and I would get married here again in a heartbeat.
