My husband spotted Sara's designs on WeddingBee early on in our planning process and we immediately decided to organise our save the dates with Stinkerpants. The only hard part was deciding what we wanted on the card but once we had an idea we discussed it over email with Sara and she immediately got it. The final save the date was even more incredible than we were expecting with the level of detail she added.

For example, on one side we had wanted a picture of a sea plane over the Sydney harbour (where we got engaged) and Sarah drew the plane perfectly from the pic we provided. As a bonus, she drew us inside the plane with my husband down on one knee proposing. It was fun and original and I think helped to start a bit of buzz about the wedding. The feedback we got from a lot of our friends was fantastic.

My husband and I would both highly recommend Sara. I only wish we had another excuse to use her now!

We met with three photographers, and at the end of the meetings, Wendy was the obvious choice. Her sample photos were great but after meeting her, we knew she would be easy for us to work with and a great fit for our personalities.

While we wanted great photos, neither my husband or I had the patience or willingness to spend hours posing for group or couple photos and Wendy was okay with that and able to work with the time we gave her to capture some really great images. Also, she was able to capture the entire ceremony and reception brilliantly with us not even noticing she was there most of the time.

We love our photos and are so happy with our choice of photographer. Wendy was a pleasure to work with - even our guests were commenting on how nice she was - and takes amazing photos worth far more than what she charges.

Jill from Sublime did my hair the day of the wedding while Teri did my make up. They both did a fantastic job. I have to admit that I was a bit weary from the trial as my make up that day was a bit full on and my hair wasn't quite perfect but on the wedding day they really came through.

My make up was as natural looking as possible given the fact that I never really wear make up. I opted against fake lashes and too much fake brow and my make up still looked great in the photos.

As for my hair, it was long and wavy just like I wanted and stayed put all day and all night long. My mom asked if I had hair extensions in because it looked so much longer and healthy than normal (an insult for me but a compliment for Jill!).

The bridesmaids, flower girl, and my sister in law also had hair and make up done and they all looked great.

Another thing I liked about the place is that they are very down to earth and low key. They didn't gush over us because we were a wedding party but since we were the only people in the salon at that time we just kind of socialised and did our own thing which was nice.

I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. The rates are reasonable compared to some of the well known wedding stylists that will come to your hotel and I felt they did just as good of job.

I can't recommend Mark Holt Bridal Couture enough for any Sydney-based brides. The owner and designer - Penny - took one look at me when I walked in and was able to design a dress that incorporated the elements I really wanted into a dress that would flatter my figure. I loved the dress and have had so many compliments on it.

Penny was also lovely to work with and her and her assistant Maria were very thorough and worked hard at each of my fittings to get everything just right.

If you are looking for a couture dress in Sydney, please pay them a visit!

First, I'd like to say that if you are on the fence about whether or not you need lighting, go for the lighting. You will not regret it.

We had our wedding at the Golden Gate Club which is a nice space with pretty views but with lighting it is amazing. We were originally going to just get some uplighting but our caterer recommended pin spotting and in the end we added a few more extras - a dance floor wash and lighting for the trees outside the giant window of the main room. I was so glad we did this as the lighting really helped set the mood.

I would have given them five stars but while the lighting was five stars the service was three star. I was a bit irritated that they were unavailable for a walk through (the only meeting I had with them was the initial sales consultation before signing the contract) and I also had to repeatedly confirm and check details with them. For example, there were things we agreed over email that were not in the final contract and they got my colors wrong after I'd just emailed them through. I know that these may seem like small things but I expect a certain level of attention to detail.

I'd still recommend them for lighting - you may just need to exert a little patience and double check your contract to make sure everything is included.

I was excited to work with Karen from the moment we met her (more than a year before our wedding). She had a gorgeous portfolio and I knew from reading her blog and seeing the photos there that she'd be able to deliver on what I wanted - beautiful but simple, modern arrangements. Just as importantly, she's easy to work with and really friendly.

We planned the wedding from overseas so it was really important to find vendors that we could easily communicate with over email and that we could trust to execute on what we wanted with limited guidance. Karen definitely fit with our requirements.

The flowers for the wedding were perfect. I had provided Karen with some pictures and basic input on what we wanted and she executed it flawlessly. I was so impressed with the ceremony flowers that I couldn't stop staring at them and we've had so many compliments on the centerpieces, the bouquets, and the kermit mum pillow Karen made for the ring bearer.

I can't recommend Karen enough for her talent, personality, and also value.

I used Netbride to order dresses for my three bridesmaids and everyone was really happy with the results. Ordering online worked out really well as two of my bridesmaids were unable to make it to a shop to try on the dresses (from Dessy) so we used the measurements provided by Netbride and ordered based on those. All three dresses fit perfectly and no one even needed alternations.

Another plus - they offered international shipping which was great as I had one bridesmaid living in London.

I have to admit that I was a bit worried about ordering online but it all worked out really well and the money I saved made it well worth it.
