We were not impressed. Jim was very moody on the day of the wedding, but that wasn't the worst part. I started to realize something was wrong about 2 months after the wedding when no one had contacted me from his studio about my photos. I had to request the proofs and then hound them for 12 months to get my wedding album completed. I picked it up from their studio on my one year wedding anniversary! And believe me, I tried to get it much sooner! The quality of the original draft was extremely poor and dealing with the studio for any editing or changes was a complete hassle. I also ordered a lot of wedding photos from Jim, as obviously I wanted to have a record of the day, but when they were finally delivered 6 months after the wedding, the quality was extremely poor, pictures were out of focus and the larger photos had been damaged in transit. I got this recommendation from a friend of mine who never actually ordered her wedding book or any prints! And Jim will not give you raw images like most photographers that my friends have worked with, so you cannot make your own prints. Overall picture quality was OK, but the staff at his studio were extremely unprofessional and inexperienced. Also his costs have gone up significantly since I booked with him 3 years ago. I would not recommend Jim Kennedy photographers to anyone.
