Legendary affair is a great resource to get yourself started and to get ideas.

I found my bouquet preserver there (which i was having lots of trouble finding elsewhere). We interviewed a officiant she recommended - did not go with her, but she seemed very nice. We did view the invitations she had - they were okay but quite pricey.. ETSY is a much better location to find invites. And she also recommended a decent wedding gown preservation company.

Its a really good idea just to help out if you are stuck with finding a vendor or to help get you kick started into your planning.

She doesn't have a lot of referrals however, just small lists - like 2 cake people, one officiant, one photographer, but at least its a start, so just do your own research into who she recommends.

Definitely a good one stop resource to get you going!

I found Bouquets by Birgitta through Legendary Affair in Manhattan beach. She is a bouquet preserver -In the process of wedding planning i found that they are hard to find!

Her process was very simple. Have someone reliable take your bouquet from the wedding and drop it off early the next day. You get it back in a month or so preserved.

I only got the flowers preserved, nothing extra.. it cost around $180. I thought she was very expensive to have anything else done - if you put flowers in a frame or shadow box the price jumped to about $500 and up.

When I met with her in person to go over what I wanted, we went over everything, when I was dropping flowers off, that i simply wanted only preservation, etc. - I thought she wrote it all down. But then about a week before the wedding she called me and left a messaging asking what we were doing and asked me to come in again to discuss. I was a bit frustrated, apparently she didn't write anything down on the invoice. Another small pet peeve of mine with her was that she insisted that all my records, invoices, bills have my husbands last name on them. I asked her if she could please use my maiden name as I was not certain I was going to change my name and she refused to. Not a major issue, but just something I didn't appreciate.

Over all it was a simple process if you want your bouquet preserved.

I cannot give Deidra a high enough review. She is a fantastic officiant, she gives the most beautiful, wonderful ceremonies.

We met with a few officiants and i just didn't have the same connection with them and I didn't even remotely like their ceremony flow or feeling nearly as much as Deidra's. When we met with her to go over the flow of the ceremony it actually made me emotional! And I don't get emotional that easily, but it was such a beautiful flow and so wonderful.

She is also very open to what you are looking for and makes it all very personable. And she makes it very relaxed, the day is about having fun and being in the moment, she makes sure that is the case. And she really listens to what you want.

everyone really thought she was fantastic that was at the wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about her..

I went to La Soie for a couple of appts to try on dresses and for jewelry. It is really a nice experience that I think each bride should have.

They give you lots of attention and really attend to you well. The girls that work there are very nice and accommodating. I worked with a sales girl a couple of times who was wonderful - I ended up not getting my dress there as I found it at another store for $800 cheaper and the other store included the alterations. And La Soie would have been $800 more for the dress plus several hundred more than that for alterations.

the manager was quite pushy though - I had the dress on that I was thinking of purchasing and she actually wouldn't let me take it off. I think she was trying to force me to say I would buy it, I kept asking to get out of the dress, to bring my sales person back and she wouldn't, she kept me in the dress for an extra 20 minutes until my bridesmaid finally got really fed up and took me out of the dress while the manager or assistant manager was standing there. That was NOT a good experience.

But other than that. la Soie is a very nice place, a very good experience for brides, I did get all my jewelry there and they were an amazing help matching the tiara and necklace, earrings to my dress. and finding the right veil.

I just recommend, if you do find your dress there.. call around to other stores - I'm sure they have it cheaper (by a lot).

i can't say enough good things!!

we ordered our wedding invitations. we did 2 different kinds.. one very fancy and one not so fancy.. ordered them from 2 different vendors. both Fantastic prices and the quality was great. Also the people were so wonderful to deal with.

I also got my garter from Etsy, also very quick easy.. much better choices than in the stores.

Honestly, anything you are looking for you can find and such great choices.... I wish I had found the site earlier in the process!!

But for invites.. SO fantastic!!

We got all the wedding party tuxes at Friar Tux. It was very easy. The only thing I didn't like (think my husband was fine with it :) was that you couldn't try on any prior to see the different styles or how they fit. We were just told they all fit the same. Which as women.. you know that can't be true :)

And you also had to have the tuxes back the next day which was a tid bit difficult.

But overall - good choices and a very simple process, even if you have people from out of town - which we had several.

The Wedding Gown Preservation company was highly recommended from brides on The Knot and also from some wedding planners in my area. I decided to go with it since it was recommended by so many people and so much cheaper then the prices I was getting around here at various cleaners for cleaning and preserving (upper $500-600).

This is a very affordable, simple process.... however there were a few glitches in my process.

I ordered the celebrity line which is the upgraded line. However when I got my dress back they had simply cleaned my dress and put it in the basic line box. Which is much less cost and it was not hand pressed or wrapped in muslin, there was tissue paper around it. I had to contact the business directly, they offered to either give me the difference in cost or to have me ship it back and redo it. I was very hesitant to ship it back - as the chance of getting lost. BUT i wanted my dress preserved correctly.

I sent it back and received it just 2 days ago and its done correctly - the process added another month on the cleaning process. It was handled by the correspondent nicely, I just wish I would not have had the problem to begin with or they would have offered some money back for the trouble.

If that wouldn't have happened I would have highly rated them, it was very simple and very affordable. My issue may have just been a fluke... i hope..as they were highly recommended.

I can't say that i wouldn't recommend them, I would say to just follow up with your dress, maybe check in on it before its completed to make sure they are processing it correctly.

Minguitas is the most HORRIFIC store ever. They literally STOLE my deposit on my dress and never got my dress in!!! and I have to fight them for my deposit .. and they never gave it to me. They caused me so much stress it almost ruined my wedding. I finally got the deposit back by filing a dispute on my AMEX and won. If i could rate them negative stars I would.

For 2 months before my wedding they kept telling me it was coming in "next week" "next week" and it would never come in and they actually missed my wedding deadline that was on the contract!! Yet they refused to give me my deposit back! And they would never return my calls. The manager Alex was always "busy" or on "vacation".

Finally after calling the designer directly begging for information on my gown as my deadline on the contract was so close, the designer told me that Migniutas was not going to buy my dress that they had no intention of ordering it as they did not have the funds to do so. That they had had several problems with Minguitas doing this in the past.

I also filed a complaint with the better business bureau and Minguitas fought it saying that I was literally insane and that I had changed my wedding date and that they got the dress in and were trying to contact me but I had disconnected all my numbers and were not taking calls. None of this was true, quite the opposite, I had been calling them constantly to get my dress, then my money back.

I see now that on Yelp there are several reviews just like mine: that they took a persons money and didn't get the dress in, or didn't get the dress in on time and refused to give deposit back.

do not go to Minguitas, they literally stole my money!! And they are continuing to do it to other people.

at the time i went to them, there were no reviews for them... i so wish there would have been. They honestly ruined my dress experience and almost ruined my entire wedding.

I order my wedding gown and my mother's dress 6 months prior to my wedding. I had to keep calling them to find out what was going on with my dresses. A week before my event I was told that my mother's dress had never arrived and there's nothing they can do. I picked up my dress and asked them for my mother's deposit. As of right now, they have been giving me the runaround. And the so called manager ALEX is never available, so I guess my next step is small claims court. Terrible experience, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Horrible Customer Service! I ordered my daughter's prom dress from Minguita's and they gave me the run-around about when the dress would arrive. When it finally arrived (4 days before the prom) the dress did not look like an authentic Maggie Sottero dress! It was poorly made! The seams didn't even line up! I believe they copied the dress and passed it off as a $380 Maggie Sottero Flirt. DO NOT ORDER YOUR DRESS FROM THIS STORE!!!

Don't go here if you want a custom dress made! They ruined my wedding! I lost my deposit and had to scramble a week before my wedding to find replacements for 6 bridesmaids! The owner turned on me and was rude and even yelled at me as I'm crying because it was a week before my wedding! They didn't offer any suggestions or consolation...their attitude was "ah, your assed out...so sue me bitch!" I was going to take them to small claims court, but I decided "KARMA IS A BITCH" so watch out! They'll get their's!

Minguitas took the deposit on my dress in March 4, 2008 and never ordered my dress. Missed my wedding!!! And refuses to give my deposit back.

They are the worst store ever! I called them for 2 months straight prior to my wedding trying to find out where my wedding dress was. They constantly lied, telling me it was coming in week after week after week, when they never ordered the dress from the designer to be shipped in the first place. They missed the Oct. 1 deadline on my invoice and my Oct wedding!!.

DO NOT ORDER FROM MINGUITAS BRIDAL they had 8 months to get my dress and still missed my wedding!!!! The experience was horrible!! And I still am fighting to get my deposit back!

I recommend Shirvan Designs! The flowers were beautiful and they really listen to what you want. The only thing i can say is there was some miscommunication between what pictures were sent of our trial and what we were actually getting. That was a little disappointing. So just be very clear as to EXACTLY what you are getting from them. Our flowers were beautiful and the price was right. I would recommend them for your wedding

We hired Terry Hansen at La Event to video our wedding. We had him do from the start of the wedding till about 10:30pm so he was there for 5 hours - from 5:30 - 10:30. He was very reasonably price compared to other videographers we checked out. We just got the video a few days ago and I'm THRILLED. I could not be happier with the way he put it together! I can't stop watching it! :) Honestly he is fantastic, so easy to work with and his product is really fantastic and you can't beat the price for the quality. And I am so so thrilled with it because our photographer ruined our wedding pictures so this is our way off capturing the day!! I couldn't be more thrilled with the video out come and the price and Terry was so easy to work with!!
